  1. Cheers to you and hope they get y’all energized soon.
  2. Interesting that they still rely on reporting. Here in the Houston area, Centerpoint seems to know right away how many are down. We lose electricity, go to their website 5 minutes later, zoom in, and get a pretty accurate count of how many customers are without power in your area. Used to call, but could never get through. Then discovered their outage map and realized that they already knew.
  3. So, a big defensive lineman that destroys people, with a handful of minor offers, pops up out of nowhere two weeks before signing day. Never on anyone’s radar, then we offer.
  4. Bumping this because I’ve been over served and yesterday was the second anniversary of my sweet wife’s death. God, I miss her.
  5. Yeah, this whole white knight shtick doesn’t smell right to me. The OP doth protest too much, methinks.
  6. No, no, no. What you really want is his bacon recipe.
  7. Lynching? Really? Get the fuck out of here with that bullshit. The motherfucker was menacing and robbing these people at gunpoint and got what he deserved. Justifiably by law. Of course, the shooter had no knowledge that THE ROBBER HAD PREVIOUSLY KILLED A SHOP OWNER 10 YEARS EARLIER DURING AN AGGRAVATED ROBBERY, but that fact only appears to amplify that the shooter’s instinct to eliminate the threat was correct. The DA declined to press charges and instead referred it to a Grand Jury. And you are right - he will most likely walk. As he should, in my opinion. It wasn’t murder, it was homicide. https://www.khou.com/article/news/crime/taqueria-shooter-questioned-released/285-20e66d3c-8568-42e5-ada2-826b60053220 HOUSTON — The Houston Police Department said homicide investigators questioned the customer who shot and killed a man who robbed a southwest Houston restaurant last week. On Monday, a day after an attorney claiming to represent the customer said his client was ready to talk, HPD said that the 46-year-old man was questioned by homicide detectives. He was not arrested or charged and his name was not released
  8. Announcer making excuses for aggy recruiting this year. Just so stupid.
  9. Well, I’ve always been partial to the duo of Gene Elston and Lowel Passe from my childhood memories, listening on a summer night back before every (any) games were on TV. Of course, there were no championships back then. But, yeah, I agree with you, Ford and Sparks are pretty good.
  10. How I imagine next season going - Jimbo as Buddy Ryan and Petrino as Kevin Gilbride
  11. Okay, My apologies for coming on here and accidentally stirring things up. I was attempting to just explain to Diggler, with a little color, that Trump is toast because I thought Diggler was convinced that Trump would get the nomination. And I believe he is wrong. That’s all.
  12. Thank you for your considerate reply. I will not try to assuage Diggler’s angst about Trump in the future.
  13. I know better than to post in this forum because I don’t think the way most here do. BUT, you are wrong about 2024. Look, I’m a republican and voted for Trump. I liked a lot of the policies that he implemented. I don’t want to debate those here, that’s not why I’m posting. To your point - Trump is toast among virtually every republican that I know, which is a big percentage of everyone in my orbit. He’s lost all goodwill that he ever had. We don’t want to deal with all of his bullshit anymore. I think that is going to be reflected in national polling too. He doesn’t know it yet, but he is done. Of course, you probably know this, but Desantis is going to be the guy everyone rallies behind.
  14. That’s the most succinct thing I’ve read today about how I, and I’m sure, so many of us feel.
  15. Very sorry to read that. Died way too young. RIP. Fuck Cancer. If you have a history of colon cancer in your family, you should start having your colonoscopies at an earlier age than what is considered standard. I’ve learned a lot about cancer over the last few years. My wife died of a particularly nasty variety almost two years ago. Fuck Cancer. Peace to you.
  16. Be strong of mind, Bruin, to be strong of body. Sending you all the positive vibes that I’ve got.
  17. The DQ in Llano has been well run for years, in my experience. It’s a convenient stop on the way back to Houston from hunting and visiting my in-laws. We often call in an order when we are about 5 minutes out. Gives us enough time to arrive, use the restrooms, then have a hot, fresh meal waiting for us. Didn't call ahead 3 weeks ago, food came out quick, slammed.
