  1. Turning left and descending in a low wing plane like the P-63 leaves a pretty big blind spot Yeah, the angle I saw, I bet the P-63 pilot never saw the B-17. Incredibly bad luck or incredibly bad situational awareness.
  2. I have it on very good authority that Card is going to portal after this season. Crazy thing is, he’ll probably be a damn good quarterback next year, and might have been this year as he had more playing time. Maybe we should get to the point that we don’t have to rely on freshman quarterbacks as our QB1.
  3. Nobody said he was the answer. Just should have been given a chance in this particular game, given Ewers shitting the bed in this game, and the previous game. Card did better than many expected when he was the starter. And when he basically played Alabama to a draw for 3 quarters on a bad ankle. I believe Card may have been able to do better than the shitshow that Ewers proved to be in this game. You don’t think so? Fine. We got pantsed by a team we should have beaten. What would you have done to change that?
  4. Bullshit. There was rarely enough pressure to cause hurried throws. Ewers only looked at his first reads. Wheel route to Bijan was wide open on the first close drive. Last 4th and goal, no one was within 10 yards of Worthy in the right corner of the end zone, yet Ewers tried to force it into the middle to Sanders. Card had at least shown the ability to look for his second or third options before Ewers came back.
  5. Never thought I’d say this in this game, but I’m ready to see what Card can do at this point. Whatever the fuck is going on isn’t working.
  6. That was a smooth play. I don’t see a problem. Simple play, executed perfectly. No problem. You want to get hot and bothered about his bad throws, go back to the first half of the season. Last play of World Series game 5? He was money.
  7. I watched game 6 in 2019 on an airplane. Watched it on my iPad using the plane’s WiFi and the Fox Sports app. Safe travels.
  8. Of course that is another twitter sock of that pathetic, snaggle-toothed piece of shit Daniel Figurelli. Couldn’t be more obvious. Subtlety is not his strong point.
  9. Go get a room already, you dipshits. And shut the fuck up while you’re at it.
  10. To be fair, there were only a total of 7 playoff games per year until 1969 - the World Series. Maximum possible wins per year during that period - 4. (Might have been a couple of 9 game series before 1910.) Then the max went to 7, now it is 13. The majority of our wins have come within the last 6 or 7 years. Astros have certainly had a better playoff win record compared to any of the teams that were created around the same time, or after. I went to my first Colt 45 game in 1963, for years I thought we’d never win a playoff game, much less a World Series. I always longed for the Astros to be the bad ass team, the team that everyone knew they had to go through. And here we are, piling up playoff wins every year. These are the best of times.
  11. Always the Yankees. To quote Conan the Barbarian, our goal should be “ To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.” The Astros have been very proficient at achieving that goal. So much sweeter when we break the Yankees fans’ spirit every year.
  12. I don’t know what your definition of spectacular is, Wulaw, but my definition of spectacular would include 18 innings of shutout baseball.
  13. FUUUUUUUCK I’m getting too old for this shit
  14. Those pussies in Seattle on Lookout Landing have been crying about the Crawford Boxes for years. Like it is a home field advantage because only we can hit one there. That Mariner announcer had to throw in that it was only 315 feet to the Boxes on Yordan’s home run call. Never mind that it actually carried 371. Bunch of fucking crybabies.
  15. Yeah, I had to switch to MLB network. They have the Spanish language broadcast
  16. Crazy how the trajectories of the two programs seem to have flipped in the blink of an eye. Fuck Blow U, may they have a decade of irrelevance like we’ve suffered through.
  17. BOHICA, Sooners Longhorns coming for revenge Deliverance style
  18. I just rewatched the game, and I don’t know what the Card haters expect. I see a quarterback that is improving with more playing time. He went 21 of 27 - one of which was a Hail Mary at the end of the half. Made a couple of off schedule plays, stood in and got blasted on the 1st TD pass. Later in the 1st half stepped up in a tight pocket and hit Worthy for a big gain. Sure, he wasn’t perfect, overthrew Worthy, underthrew a couple. But I think he’s played well enough to not deserve to be getting shit on by some of the fan base. I wouldn’t blame either of our losses on him.
  19. I don’t think we have any idea what the numbers mean, even now. For example, I had OG covid Feb 2021, therefore never felt the need to get the vaccine, 1st Texas Cares draw Aug 2021 - S 347 N 184.0 My latest draw last month, a year later and 1.5 years after being infected - S 242 N 76.0 My S numbers have been much lower than most vaccinated that post their results on here, whereas my N numbers have been much higher than most of the infected that post here. Seems like relatively low S numbers for me, but I haven’t caught covid a second time despite taking very few precautions over the last year+. I know lots of vaccinated - presumably S 2500+ people, like most that post results on here seem to be - that have caught a case in the last few months. Small sample size, luck of the draw, who knows? That’s what Texas Cares is endeavoring to ascertain, I think. But to this point, they have not published any sort of definitive results. Nor has any other organization that I am aware of. I hope they can give us some insight at some point. I look forward to their conclusions.
