1-3 against TCU, but this is why he needs to lose his job.
1-3 TCU. 1-4 OU. 0-2 Brockermeyer (not gunna give him walk-on Luke). That's it. Those are the three.

listened to @OnAComputer carry water for Tom on his podcast this morning.. But luckily his bu guest called it like he seen it. Tom hasn't shown he can win with his own kids.
Is that the "4th and 5?" Saw it come up on the twitter feed. I'll pass if there's water carrying.

No matter what you think about Herman, Urban won a title with him. Kinda all that matters. As in hiring people like Herman, and...wait for it...Tim Beck? Memories are short around here. Having said that I'm still in on the Urban renewal plan, but expecting miracles right away might be a little unrealistic. You can have Beck. So thanks for your one example from Urban Meyer’s entire coaching career. (Obviously he’s not batting a thousand. You know what I meant).
Agree with your last statement.

Hiring Urban is only the right move if he gets his coordinator hires and support staff hires correct right?
Urban is the right hire BECAUSE he'll get his coordinators and supports staff hires right. And all other things.

Ha, yeah, I haven't heard a damned thing all week. Pretty sure there's nothing to hear that hasn't already been passed on to the boards.

Checked around. It turns out on the Kelly thing that it wasn't "misdirection", but "miscommunication" instead.
I'm stunned. I'm pissed. It's Chip Kelly.
Is it possible that it's a case of both? That Chip is misdirection, but we got Brian out of miscommunication?
I don't wanna believe...

I’ve already said it, but Baylor has had all of 3 days to practice for this game. Texas has had 2 weeks. Add on top of that fact that Baylor sucks this year.
Herman is a shitty coach. But he’s not shitty enough to lose to a terrible team with 3 days of practice. Anyone hoping for a loss will be sad on Saturday. You’ll get a 52 yard Dicker FG to win it as time expires, Herman and the Texas team erupting into jubilation like they accomplished something, and a @Michael Knight thread after calling the win & Herman’s coaching ability amazing, and like it.

I see it as a no lose situation
Texas wins, fuck ya! Go fuck yourselves Baylor!
Texas loses, fuck ya! Go fuck yourself Herman!
Against OU, before the comeback, I was so pissed, but at the same time kind of excited, 'cos "this is what they need to get Herman out the door, man!"
When Sam started leading the comeback, and you could kinda feel it coming, I remember saying to myself something similar to, "Oh great, now I gotta cheer for a comeback!" I wasn't going to cheer for them to lose (I was screaming for them to win), but I was almost upset that they were trying to ruin my fantasies.
Weird feeling.

F Baylor and anybody who roots for us to lose to them (or anybody else).
I can never see myself rooting for the Longhorns to lose.
I can absolutely see myself being happy that they did.

I thought Kelly quietly signed a contract extension in May. I doubt ND would turn around and get rid of him to hire Meyer. I doubt Texas would swoop in and create a ND void for Meyer to fill. Sounds like bullshit.

Damn, I think you're right. Appears he's there through 2024 now. Cannot find any buyout info yet.

This Notre Dame rumbling seems kinda interesting, I think. Not that Urban is actually angling for that job, but that maybe his side is floating all of this stuff to get Texas to shit or get off?
Then someone speaking about hearing Brian Kelly's name... kinda interesting.
*EDITED to add: Doubtful, as Kelly just signed an extension through 2024.

For what its worth Brett McMurphy on Kirk Bohls' pod this morning said ND would be his first choice. Now that is just an opinion because there is zero chance that he has any insider info on Urban after the Zach Smith saga he spear headed.
Oh man. Now Urban is pushing the boosters.

Lol. I know you are probably being facetious but Texas is an easier job than ND. I don't see Urban wanting the ND job.
I mean Meyer is a devout Catholic so obviously he's waiting for Notre Dame to open shut down the thread

Both Nahlin and Hamilton at IT heard Brian Kelly's name pop up yesterday but they think it is misdirection and donors trying to create some leverage.

Leverage for?... To get Urban to jump?

Things being this quiet must be a good omen, no?
I think after *over a week and a half of everyone screaming about Urban Meyer and firing Tom Herman, that there'd be some type of "not happening" surface. It hasn't.
*maybe two and a half weeks for some of us

Third and short is a great time to take deep shots if you're in four down territory
And there's the rub. Where they're at on the field, they're probably not going for it, so you take the 1st down. 2nd and 1? No problem going deep.
