Do we for sure have clarity that the Broughton family sit down already happened?
I've seen it mentioned a couple of times from the 995s that it has happened. But yah, I guess it's possible it "hasn't" happened.
I'm just betting it has, because immediately on the tail of reports that it had happened is when the aggy hedging began

Texas people are getting more confident, A&M people are getting less confident. It's a definite trend.
Then again I'm not sure if Herman has ever thought he's not going to get someone he wants.I normally wouldn't put too much stock into it, and I'm not saying I'm putting a whole whole lot into it right now, but I'm a little more perked up because this is all coming off of the Broughton Family Sit Down. So there is at least an event this is all following.

Is this fake Aggy drama or real waffling?

Comment/context might be helpful, given that this doesn't appear related to anything.

Texas, ou, aggy, Clemson, alabama, lsu, usc, oregon, florida, mississippi, mississippi state, ohio state.
Wait, all of the above except Texas? Let's discuss.
Everybody cheats. Everyone stretches the rules or flat out breaks them, including Texas... BUT, not everyone is on that SEC/Ohio St/Oregon level. It's multiple levels above anything a Texas does. It's so organized, and the school administrations allow it.
OU, I think they're ramping up to it, how far they go I dunno. I envy that, tbh.

My brother in law is the defensive coordinator at Jasper. So I might actually get some inside info for once in my life.
I had an in on Broughton for a second back when the skies on that one were bluer, but random Surly poster confirming 9.95s wasn't my thing.
You, on the other hand, have a more legit case, so fill us in already.

Super K says that Vernon Broughton has made his decision and will shoot a video (TFB is not making it).
Jake Majors shooting the video, obviously.

"people were racing to crystal ball."
Is that some sort of Aggy Corps hazing thing, or....

but they don't seem to be playing the game like Aggy, Clemson, Ohio St., Bama, Ole Miss, Oregon, etc. Is that incorrect?
I think OU has realized along the way the recruiting landscape change in their biggest hotbed (Texas) since Aggy opened up the door to the SEC. I seriously think they're building up to it.

Mama Broughton selling him on Texas? Would a UT girlfriend tip the scales?
I dunno, but I am all in on some Breaking Bad style interference here, minus the murder stuff... well, depends who I guess.

His QB recruiting at A&M has also been shitty. He may luck into King, but the fact that King hasn’t committed yet says a lot.
you beat me to it. I was about to say, King pending, there's no evidence to suggest anyone's still purchasing that shit.

The offensive line depth chart at Texas shows lots of rushing yards ahead
Not to excuse Drayton, but on this part, you said it: "ahead". It hasn't happened yet.

Coaches don’t want to know all the details
I agree there, when it comes to the details of the individuals, the "who"s, and actually being hands on with it, but I'm sure he gets the gist of the process. All sausage is kinda made the same, just different ingredients, ya know, and most people just see the end product.
It's an interesting discussion, though, and I wish I knew more about it.

TJ made reference to herman asking Shaka how it’s done
That's the only thing that bugs me about this whole topic. Surely, coming from Ohio State, Herman wouldn't need to ask, and would already know the game.
-
It’s very possible he wasn’t bought. Not all prospects are.
Just showed him that catalog of free tattoos.

What do you mean? Of course he knows all about this. But what can he do? He doesn’t know who to not waste time on in some cases until they make it known they expect a payout. He recruits them until he find evidence that they are going to take the benefits. Also, I won’t go into any more detail, but sometimes Texas hopes that they can still get the player even though boosters aren’t offering to write big checks.
Kinda wonder if Herman ever considered this when taking the job. If he'd be at such a disadvantage.

Just very lucky to have Card out there leading this class. Bijan just happened to slip through his hands 'cos..
-
Or maybe they just flat out beat us for Bijan and it matter where Ransom was committed?
Youre attributing a lot of causation to Ransom’s decision without a basis for it.
Herman can’t. He’s not that good of an individual recruiter. His value add is in creating a system and organization for his position coaches to thrive in, which is why so many of us focus on him needing better recruiting from his position coaches.
Poach the TCU RB and find a second.
I'm missing the part where I said "Texas outrecruited Ohio State but because Bijan's teammate committed there he decided to follow him, and that's the only reason." If you can find where I said that, I'd greatly appreciate it.
All I am saying is that dismissing the possible impact a HS kid can have in helping recruit his HS teammate is foolish.

I mean probably. Then again, it is UncleBuck.
It was by no means meant to be hilarious, but yes, I was hoping maybe someone would chuckle at it at least.
