If Texas isn’t quite there yet, would adding talent like Evans and ringo get us there?  That’s why we are recruiting you guys. Jesus.

Yah, wish these guys would buy into themselves a bit, that they could be the difference in Texas being a "Natty" caliber team or not. But again, that's not the real point. The real point is getting drafted as early as possible. Still, buy into yourselves.

  2. Ain't got dick to do with any damn Natties or what the fuck ever. What, LSU is closer? Oklahoma with that shit defense and all their OL and QBs gone?

Bottom line: Those five schools have been putting RBs and/or OLs out early in the drafts, among other positions. Just say it, kid, you think those schools give you the best shot to get paid straight out of the gate. That's cool.

Yep.  This recruiting season is getting fun now.  We will get ours and have a top 10, maybe top 5 class.  The North Shore pair can work at a Pasadena, Baton Rouge or Athens Wendy's if their NFL careers don't pan out.  I am not sure if Tuscaloosa has a Wendy's.  Former Texas players connecting with Texas Exes likely do better in the long game of life, networking and business, but it  is not a "my family" decision so whatever will be will be.

One of his coaches has been on Texas boards since the beginning of this recruitment saying that there was no way he was going to Texas due to driving distance, and that it was Tech, OU, or maybe TCU

Ohio State's just a skip and jump from his house.

Texas is attempting the moon shot in getting both Robinson and Evans. They tried it last year as well, and, yeah.

Yah, it bombed last year, but it feels a bit more possible this cycle. I never had a good feeling about the top dogs last cycle reading you guys. This actually feels a lot more doable. But.....  AM I READING WRONG?

Are you trying to say that the circumference is smaller at the same distance from either point, relative to an nfl ball?

Yah. If the ball is 11" long, at 2" and at 9", in those areas the circumference would be smaller on an NCAA ball than the NFL ball. "Narrow" is probably not the correct word, I was just speaking in layman's terms. I think you got it.

I’m pretty sure every football gets “narrower” the closer it gets to the nose.

So there’s a kid from Iowa that’s gking to the elite 11 finals whose only reported offer is central Michigan?

Is more narrow closer to the nose than an NFL ball. There you go, smartass.

(OR DID I SAY IT WRONG AGAIN)

  8. 8.5" could be a bigger issue for the NFL ball. In college I believe the ball is narrower the closer it gets to the nose, and there are actually two different balls with the size varying down toward the nose. I guess that could make it easier for a smaller handed kid to hold. Dunno, but there's that.
