  1. The sub's title should be San Antone, btw.
  2. I'd be much more concerned if last year was an issue of squandering talent. Still not the most desirable situation to be in defensively, but I just don't see it being worse. Add in having an actual QB and 17 legit receivers and bijan robinson and an improved OL and that's where my optimism comes from. But there are two sides to all of that, so I can see just 7 wins etc...
  3. Here's the thing about the dumbassery last season: it was a result of the non-dumbassed/correct way of running a defense ALSO not working. If the talent is a little better, and the coaching figures out a way to overcome not having all of the talent it is used to having, then coupling it with a much better offense gives the team a chance to win 9-10. Doesn't mean it'll happen, or that I think it will, but it's for sure doable. They were in plenty of games they lost last year... but on the flipside, they were in plenty of games they lost last year.
  4. Yes, those are a must have. One stays on our stove at home unless it goes directly into the oven to make room on top. As for the flour vs. corn argument, the region of "Northern" Mexico that Texas borders is extremely corn. You can find flour, and it's not just for the gringos, but mostly what you're going to see is corn. Now if you're out Sonora way, they're more of a flour tortilla region, as they've been doing wheat for probably four or so centuries. And seeing as that's where the carne asada taco is widely credited as originating from, it'd probably be more traditional to eat your carne asada on flour vs. corn. There is another region I've heard of that uses a lot of flour, but I cannot remember it. But of course, most of Mexico is corn. My solution: buy the Mixla tortillas at HEB.
  5. First time I saw the "cubed before smoked" method I thought the same, makes the most sense that you'd have a better chance of it not drying out etc... but honestly, there's so much fat in a pork belly you really don't need to worry about it. Plus, it's a way for all of us bark-whores to get full bark coverage. BUTTTT... if I'm being honest, I do mine in strips, then cube for the sauce sauna.
  6. Technically they're not the same thing, but they're widely considered as a package deal, making up the majority of Oklahoma's nutsack. Forth Worth obviously the cooler testicle.
  7. I guess I've never paid attention to the subs. Seriously, how is there no SA sub? Seems criminal.
  8. We were gunna do Quince (have never done it) but we had decent enough swimming in front of the property we rented.
  9. Whatthebuck takes any visitor he gets down to his secret grocery store document room and tracking center to explain to them all of his conspiracy theories like
  10. We booked back in March, and will be up in Camp Wood starting Sunday (Nueces side, obvz). We're not planning on floating, just finding a hole to soak in/let the kids play. We'll run over Frio way to check it out I'm sure. Will report if I remember.
  11. I'm not sure if he was serious, so I didn't reply, but... no not going to do it
  12. Or that it's not some dumb gomer cult shit...
  13. I've suspected that if the family drama stuff is legit, that it's possible that even Georgia and A&M have cooled off a bit on Owens. I truly do believe that Texas is higher on Baxter, but not sure how much of that is actual athletic preference, and Owens drama situation. It does seem that Louisville is ready to play serious ball via NIL, but the whole Louisville thing happened really quickly. I think some of the bigger schools have indeed laid off a bit.
  14. Went there for their steak night about a year back. Wasn't the greatest, but I could see how the locals might be down with it.
  15. 5AM? How long ago was this? I'd much rather 5AM, but was under the impression it might take a little more than that.
