This is all super general. Im giving examples that are sporting card ish adjacent. Same concept works for artwork NFTs though.

Basically this is a trading card (Non fungible token) that lives on the block chain instead of in your hands. You "own" it, it lives in a crypto wallet you control and only X are minted of each one. You can sell them, hold on to them or lose access to your account and lose them lol

Some are more rare than others, in this case the Bijan has a 1920? commons, 100 rare and 1 epic.

Bitski/Candy is significantly behind Dapper Labs/Top Shot when it comes to basically anything from the actual NFTs to marketplace to fully baked concept. This is basically just some digital moving shit With his signature vs TS which is a specific play from the season with the actual footage of said play.

It's not like I'm planning on passing this down to my grandkids but it's a cool thing to have.

So what exactly do you get, though.

I mean we can twist it any way we want. Who is next up to take snaps if McCord falters? Ewers? Does Ewers want that or not want that? What was he told during his recruitment? If McCord is great, will Quinn get a shot to win the job next year?

The good news is that I'm sure we can find a better looking truck than what those Ohio fucks gave him to drive around.

outside of DL, but even then we have a qualification risk and a guy from LA and and a guy from MS who have the in-state schools that will continue to recruit them for the next few years. I'd say odds at least one DL who is currently committed doesn't end up enrolling here.

Let's put the miserable bastard syndrome aside and leave the one gotdamn good thing we've got going in recruiting alone.  Obviously there's a decent chance we see one of these guys scoot before signing day, as a lot of us have already excepted, but FFS maybe just enjoy DL recruiting for now.

Gerry just put out an article on flip candidates.  Hudson was the first mentioned - but also mentioned were Will Campbell, Terrance Brooks, Bryce Anderson, Kelvin Banks, and Cameron Williams.

In other words, kids today are no different than those of yesterday/yesteryear; “Show me the $$…like NOW.”
Why would one want to wait until enrolling to get a deal via NIL when they can get paper just to show up at a camp or a game on a “unofficial”?

I’m my mind just not a chicken/egg scenario; the cash must come first. That’s the price of entry.

And TBH, programs are really gunna have to work hard to limit what goes on inside of the program with kids already making $ off of NIL. There are always alums and fans who are gunna wanna fling some cash around for this and that, and who doesn't want more money?

Everybody was pretty excited about everyone of those commits. They weren’t considered misses then. We’ve had a huge development problem for years that has stretched across staffs. I’m hoping we’ve come to the end of this trend. But at this point I find it hard to care about recruit rankings and where this class falls especially since we’ve been beat by enough teams we out recruit over the years.

Wish I could like this post more than once. If the new staff can identify the right guys and coach the shit out of them, that's heads and shoulders above what has been going on at Texas for over a decade. Then the next level can open.

This 100% percent. Burnt Ends is so awesome because it's going to get results AND it serves as a model for other UT alums before we even enter the SEC.

    Heroes. Love you guys.

I want to win so fucking bad.

I'll eventually open another paypal account and fork over the whatever a month for Burnt Ends, maybe try and come up with some bullshit story to prolong the shit my wife's gunna give me when she finds out I'm giving money to college kids.  But we definitely need some badass apparel rolling on here. a $30 cap here, $30 shirt here etc...

    Fong, on Guilbeau.

One of the state's best is closing in on a college decision. And I like where TCU stands at this point in the process.

Port Arthur (Texas) Memorial Top247 cornerback Jaylon Guilbeau has a final three of Texas, TCU and Texas A&M. A former Longhorns verbal, he reopened the process on July 21. The Horned Frogs have been in great shape since then.

On Wednesday afternoon I logged a 247Sports Crystal Ball in favor of Gary Patterson and company.

"TCU is just a school that shows love to me and I know they will develop me and put me in the NFL!" Guilbeau recently told 247Sports. "They're that type of school."

Guilbeau is tabbed by the Top247 as the nation's No. 13 cornerback and No. 88 prospect overall. He has been selected to play in the All-American Bowl following his senior season.

247Sports National Analyst Gabe Brooks is high on the 5-foot-11 1/2, 180-pound Guilbeau.

"Possesses good size and great length for a corner. Adequate height with a plus wingspan (6-2). Two-sport athlete who runs track (400 meters). Consistently stays low in backpedal. Willing to mix it up at the line of scrimmage. Disruptive at the catch point, thanks in part to length. Shows encouraging competitiveness when the ball is in the air. Shows an occasional hitch when redirecting. Willing tackler but needs more bulk to maximize arriving power. Testing and track context suggests there's more meat on the bone regarding top-end speed. Good-sized, instinctive corner with good tools. Projects to high-major level with long-term NFL Draft potential given proper development and increased explosiveness."

TCU has nine commits thus far in 2022 including two other in-state four-stars in receiver DJ Allen and receiver Matthew Golden.

Not a hella hella confident pick and write-up, buuuutt...  We'll see. I can see it being TCU no doubt.

I have a bigger offset, but it leaks like a sieve and is more work than is justified for a single rack of ribs.  Holding temps requires hourly attention so smoking something becomes a chore.  I want something I can set for at least 4+ hours while I get other shit done on a Saturday.

Once you work your WSM you can do that 4 hours and more, even without air temp controllers. Same with that unit Both Tacos is talking about. Once you learn how to set it, you can walk away.

On longer cooks like brisket on my WSM, I can get my temp dialed in then disappear for a few hours. Go fishing, whatever.

But of course I'm going opposite of you and looking to get back into sticks. I mostly hang around the house and backyard all day when I'm smoking anyway.

Which is fine. QBs make mistakes, even really good ones

That's important to remember here. It's one play out of many, in the dude's first start. It'll be okay, no one's saying he had his chance and to throw Card back out there now.

I called for the switch to Casey, and this one play -though I think it's on him- doesn't make me regret that any.
