    All I know is this:
When Casey Thompson willed himself in for the TD against 3-4 Arkansas defenders towards the end I thought “ok, that’s it. He should start.”

That energy and grit and determination will spill over to the rest of the team. All he does is get points.

My favorite play was when he didn't walk up to our center, who was blocking his guy fairly well, and allow his guy to step to the side and sack him.

It was dumb. But once upon a time Jimmy Johnson wanted Steve Walsh to start over Troy Aikman. These guys aren’t rocket scientists. What’s more Important is that they recognize when they made a mistake.

You also have to think, that Sark came in here without knowing these kids, and the only thing he had to judge them on was a little action against Colorado. Then he had were practices. Sometimes you get a guy who just isn't as good in practice. And on the other side, you have a guy who IS. Who does everything right. Who doesn't need to see it a second time. It takes time out under the actual lights to figure it out sometimes, when it's as close of a battle as this one appears to have been. That's okay. Just so that it's figured out.

Yeah, Card played scared the whole game even before he wa s getting hit, and he scrambled outside the pocket way too often against 3 man rushed when he had plenty of time. Casey was so much more confident and decisive. That was the biggest difference and why Casey needs to start moving forward.

It's not even close. And when Casey DOES scramble, it's a decisive move. He just sees the field much better than Card right now.

It’s not even an option at this point. They will have to. We will barely be able to fill out a 2 deep on OL at this point.

In 2023/2024 season we will have in a best case scenario a couple of juniors in Majors, Karic, Tyler Johnson, Hayden Connor that have some action, and then guys for one year like Hookfin, maybe a Jaylen Garth if he’s ever healthy.

Hand and Herman really fucked us in those last 2 classes.

Logan Parr no bueno? Haven't heard much about him, or did I miss something?

We will see how Casey does but what this team is missing more than anything is a mean streak.

If Casey can avoid waltzing up the pocket and into a sack that doesn't have to be here, they're miles ahead of where they were. The dude could sit there and jack-off the entire time in film study with the coaches and other QBs looking on while Card aces every test in practice, but it's apparent that when he steps on the field he can see what's going on 10x better than what Card can right now.

As for a mean streak, that usually comes from when a coach can put the ball in his OLs hands and let 'em truck fucks up front on a drive or two to send a message. Or from a defense that can set the tone, who isn't tired from having to come back on the field every 90 seconds. We ain't there yet. Lort get us the right croots.

Now that Luke is starting they want to come here. Well, we need linemen.

I would imagine it's also a lot to do with them seeing the long road to starting at Bama, and how much fun big brother was having not being a backstabbing traitor this past Saturday... and a little backdoor crootin' going on via Luke through Sark etc... (no, not that kinda backdoor, future... yet).

Can't wait to see what some of our in-the-knowers hear

I went back and read Roach's post-morterm on that class and he said something to the effect that Watts and Texas/Herman just weren't a fit and both parties moved on.

Well when you're on a private jet with the coach and his wife tries to throw you out of the door at 37.4K feet, it's best everyone move on.

I think that's what happened anyway, I could be confusing stories.
