And honestly it seems they already are. He pulled me in the past few weeks or so.

I think the thing that sucks about this the most, is that a lot of us who had doubts that this commitment would last up to signing day were getting pulled in by how actively he's been pushing for UT/the multiple visits etc... I think we might end up with him signing on anyway, but it'd be cool to have that class builder for the whole ride.

We should change this title to Class of 2023 QB Talk.

1 minute ago, closetojumping said:What a fucking grease fire this thread is the for the last page. Just a bunch of handwringing and whining, spurred by IT $9.95ers being scared of Fisher's bag dropping and Nick Saban being a sabateur, and also golfclap's conflating of "some younger big boosters that I know" with "all of the younger boosters" in his grind against CDC.
I think the world of Gerry and I think Nahlin is a thunderdouche and I can say that my POV on each goes beyond Internet posts. That considered, two things are very true of both of them - they both appear to work their asses off and they're both almost constantly on tilt when it comes to the notion that the bad men are at the door and those bad men are there for our UT souls.
ATM is overtly and outlandishly paying players. Some of their fucking loudmouths, O'Neal specifically, are serving as hypemen while trolling around that podunk shithole in tricked out Bentleys and the like. That, no doubt, would be worth the site for recruits. Fisher and Craig and their crew openly talking about how money is no obstacle for their program with the parents is also real and worth noting.
But what's really changed? They bought Richardson, Leal, Demas, Williams, Green and the like. We watched it happen. They're being more aggressive now with families and recruits who aren't showing up wanting or expecting bags to be dropped. They'll land the Bear Alexander types anyway. No one has any clue how effective trying to buy someone who didn't realize they could be bought is going to be, but it's not a concept being introduced by someone who is tactful or suave about the delivery or the way it will make those recruits and parents feel.
I stand by my prior and repeated take - Texas will land Denver Harris, Bryce Anderson and Kelvin Banks. Brooks? I've always thought we had a great shot but he's also never been a guy to be the house on, so maybe he winds up at Bama. In any event, I expect Texas to land a top 10 class and if they win, a top 5 class. ATM? They'll get the guys that will surprise no one and then Haynes King will lead them against a weak schedule to 9-4 on the season and not much will change. Same old ATM, throwing money at problems that don't need money to cure them.
My pussy needed this.

Much like gravity you don't have to believe in it for it to be true.
I can believe in gravity, but not blame gravity when someone chooses to jump off of a building.

I agree with the first point but not the second point. Just because CDC shouldn't be involved in an activity does not imply that his actions elsewhere won't affect the willingness of others to participate in said activity.
I'm not saying it couldn't, and/or wouldn't... I'm just not thinking that would be a big enough reason to vehemently refuse to take measures that can greatly help in stopping the program's 10yr+ long bleeding . But if they're that big of some bitches as Sydney's saying, then consider me wrong.

What did CDC do to piss off the "young" crowd? Does he need to do more jello shots in left field?
Even if he did piss them off a bit, that's no excuse for the younger money crowd to abandon the fucking program.
Honestly I don't see the connection there, and would call BS on that being anywhere close to the reason. This type of thing goes around CDC. CDC shouldn't be that close to this.

If you have the means and the general willingness to help the school and choose not to because you don’t like the AD then you’re the piece of shit.
I think it goes much deeper that CDC. You can draw a line straight to Stan Drayton's office on this one.

I wouldn't expect the "young" crowd to engage at all and you can thank CDC for that.

I’m not going to admit defeat in that recruitment just because he decided to grab a bag from Karen on a Wednesday
It's not defeat, but it's showing that A&M's playing with guns, while we fear our guys are checking the tracking on that knock-off knife they ordered off of Wish.

4 minutes ago, Burt Macklin said:
My only hope is that A&M’s blatant and rampant cheating will cause the necessary parties connected to our program to wake the fuck up and start to play the game. Not real optimistic about that one though.
I'm hoping they've been some timid assed pussies, and that this shit is what wakes them up. Being proactive would be the better plan, but I'm curious to see what the response is with this situation, as it seems to be one to highlight. Response, or lack of one, will tell us something.

So we are fucked?
It's close. I'm in the camp of waiting on what the response will be -if there is any- from the Texas side. See where we're really at. But no, it doesn't look very good. SEC is in this state. Gunna have to get with it or GTFO.

Really need Bill O’Brien to just show up and be himself this weekend.
BoB: "Hell man, ya keep growin' and you'll be as tall as Brock Osweiler was, and we were able to win some games. No but seriously, it's like I tell all the players, it's all about what you can do for the team. Sure you might be a natural QB, but I need ya knowing the whole playbook because we may need you at WR. Versatility, I like to call it. You'll hear me say that word a lot, like, all the time. Versatility. Yah."

What? Y’all don’t like the LHN? It’s great, you can watch Lowell Galindo whenever you want to! They even had 4 hours of coaches corner with Vic Schaefer on during NSD!
I remember back before we cut the cord and actually had LHN. They once aired this replay of a game where Texas played USC back in like '06. That game was fucking nuts. Not sure if you guys have ever caught it on there or not.

That was one of the reasons I was really surprised when he did commit to the good guys. I had already written him off for aggy a long time ago.
