He doesn't believe in Malik Murphy. OK.. what about Hudson Card/Casey Thompson for the next couple of seasons? And he decommits from OU who has Spencer Rattler in year 2? Does he not think that Steve Sarkisian and Lincoln Riley, literally the two best QB developers in college football, will not keep their QB room right? This kid is being sold a bill of goods.

Yah, I don't really buy it, that QB would be anywhere close to a large part of a "no thanks" on his part. My point in that comment was more toward the fact that it's even possible that line could be written. I mean sure, 995 and all.... but SMU?

You should talk to any kid coming off of a TCU visit it will quickly disavow you of this notion. Or any WR coming off a visit with Jimbo Fisher.

No, it really wouldn't, because I wouldn't believe it, and also because you said Jimbo Fi$her.

And TBH,  in this case where it appears SMU may be leading the pack, you're silly if you think he ISN'T hearing negative about SMU's QB situation. He's a WR.

Finish the rest of the thought - do you think that Hudson had the concerns about UTs QB situation on his own, or are they coming from another source(s)? My guess is that everyone recruiting him right now is shitting on the UT QB room. No one has done the same with SMU because it's fucking SMU.

I know that these kids don't think everything through, and buy some crazy shit sometimes, but to buy this logic I'd have to believe he thinks the SMU QB situation is golden. He doesn't need anyone shitting on SMU for him to know their situation isn't better, and as a WR I'd expect him to explore the situation everyhwere.

Arch Manning, of the New Orleans Mannings, is not going to allow his recruitment to be influenced by the whims of Reuben Owens and anyone that says otherwise should be power negged.

Correct... but it's pretty obvious to me that Reuben Owens, of the Wharton County Owens clan, caught wind that Arch Manning is no longer considering Texas after a pelican arrived carrying word that Quinncy Ewers of house Southlake is about to march his glorious mullet back on down to Austin to claim the Whiskey Barrel Throne.

Or it could be that El Campo is a red ass aggy town and they hear negative stuff about Texas everyday and decided to take a step back

That was one of the reasons I was really surprised when he did commit to the good guys. I had already written him off for aggy a long time ago.

  6. I think the thing that sucks about this the most, is that a lot of us who had doubts that this commitment would last up to signing day were getting pulled in by how actively he's been pushing for UT/the multiple visits etc... I think we might end up with him signing on anyway, but it'd be cool to have that class builder for the whole ride.

I agree with the first point but not the second point. Just because CDC shouldn't be involved in an activity does not imply that his actions elsewhere won't affect the willingness of others to participate in said activity.

I'm not saying it couldn't, and/or wouldn't... I'm just not thinking that would be a big enough reason to vehemently refuse to take measures that can greatly help in stopping the program's 10yr+ long bleeding . But if they're that big of some bitches as Sydney's saying, then consider me wrong.
