Like the dumbass Texas crystal ball tweets are the worst. I miss the days when it'd be posted that a rush of CB's are going to a player but instead we have to see 7 tweets to the one fucking prospect from the stupid ass cyrstal ball tweet thing.

Hell, even the local computer here gets annoyed with all of the redundant crystal balls, but that's normally only after he's not the first to post one. They're topical though, and at least understandable. Sometimes I'll just be farting around on twitter, see a CB pop up and come here and post it if I don't see it.

I think a better alternative would be create the Twitter thread for people who give a shit about some linemen doing a cone drill. And have one for actual information and debating

You're right and wrong here. Though it can get annoying that we gotta get a tweet shared any time a prospect takes a shit, most of the tweets shared are at least somewhat topical.

But to your original point re: cth's Winfield question, the nugget in question was deeply tucked away behind a spoiler, and wasn't very clear in regards to the question cth had. So yah, I get you on that one.

because I don't see what other school can claim piety on this issue

They can't. But most other schools aren't having any of these issues popping up right now while trying to sell their message to 15-17 year olds. Hard enough for adults to think reasonably and logically about things.

Now personally I don't think it'll mean too much, but yah, I can maybe see a recruit or two who're on the fence being swayed the opposite way. A lot of it will have to do with how Sark and the staff address it with the athletes and their families. Obviously, you'd prefer not having it be an issue at all.

Don't judge him on the 3 star current ranking, he's going to be a P5 QB1 in someone's class and a solid 4* by the end of this cycle. Florida is not fucking around in their interest level in him. Iowa is going harder after him as well since Fleck landed Knuth and Cumbie and TCU aren't going to go quietly.

Scaring him off is 9.95er nonsense, but he's not a QB2 type guy and not everyone wants to be in a class with another QB1 type talent

    Thanks.

    Tell that to Duncanville.

Schools like Duncanville, based on their size and location, probably don't catch many meets, if any, where they're not being pushed pretty hard by competition.

Conversely, a guy like Thompson in a lower classification, at a school about as far up in the Panhandle as you can get, might not see many serious sprinting threats until the regional, unless they hit up a decent meet early on. If he's the type to run to the comp, which is the case for plenty of good sprinters, then we won't see his best until Austin, most likely.
