Do you have a Google Alert for every time Ewers is mentioned on this board? It's uncanny.
I read this recruiting board daily, so I see it all. But have made like four posts the past week and this is the first one about Ewers. This past week I was more concerned about the 20 separate tweets inserted on the Casey Thompson thread about him wanting to be number 11. Also think I posted on here about Athens, GA. But yah, the nation's top QB in this class moves my needle.

Yah, it moved.

So you're saying Thompson wanted to wear jersey #11? Just double checking.

I’ve also been to Athens. It’s a lot like Knoxville and Clemson in that regional honks go on for days raving about it but once you stop in for yourself it seems like 1000 other towns with some local charm and a bunch of fucking hype.
The 40-Watt Club alone sets that place apart from the rest, not to count a pretty decent open mic comedy scene and one not too shabby Indian food joint. But yah, outside of that you just spend your time dodging boiled peanut slingin' cultists and organic food pop-ups.

Dunk on that thinking all you want. But, the same people that are going to dunk on this are the ones who, for 10 years, assumed "the staff has it under control" while the cfb world passed by.
I will dunk on both.

I mean he's committed to another program, told us no already. We also have another QB committed in this class that is recruiting for us. Reading the tea leaves, it seems like Sark conveyed to Ewers that we had another QB ready to commit and they wanted to know where he stood. Ewers probably said he's good with his commitment to tOSU. Sark probably then told him to let him know if/when he changes his mind. So yeah, I figured they'll probably have minimal contact and I'm guessing that will only change if we blow the doors open this fall with a bombass offense or if tOSU tanks for whatever reason. Until either of those happen, Ewers to Texas is wishful thinking.
Obviously it should be assumed, but any quote about the situation directly from the players face is > nada.

I’m not sure if SI articles are worth anything, but they’re reporting that the contact between Ewers and Sark has been “minimal.”
Ewers himself: "Not too much no," Ewers said when asked about his contact with the Longhorns. "minimal (communication).""
The quote is presented in the context of the communication being minimal with "the Longhorns," not only Sark. How accurate that part is, who knows.

I know that it was mentioned that Ross had family in the music industry, but were we ever told who he was related to?

Like the dumbass Texas crystal ball tweets are the worst. I miss the days when it'd be posted that a rush of CB's are going to a player but instead we have to see 7 tweets to the one fucking prospect from the stupid ass cyrstal ball tweet thing.
Hell, even the local computer here gets annoyed with all of the redundant crystal balls, but that's normally only after he's not the first to post one. They're topical though, and at least understandable. Sometimes I'll just be farting around on twitter, see a CB pop up and come here and post it if I don't see it.

I think a better alternative would be create the Twitter thread for people who give a shit about some linemen doing a cone drill. And have one for actual information and debating
You're right and wrong here. Though it can get annoying that we gotta get a tweet shared any time a prospect takes a shit, most of the tweets shared are at least somewhat topical.
But to your original point re: cth's Winfield question, the nugget in question was deeply tucked away behind a spoiler, and wasn't very clear in regards to the question cth had. So yah, I get you on that one.
