because I don't see what other school can claim piety on this issue
They can't. But most other schools aren't having any of these issues popping up right now while trying to sell their message to 15-17 year olds. Hard enough for adults to think reasonably and logically about things.
Now personally I don't think it'll mean too much, but yah, I can maybe see a recruit or two who're on the fence being swayed the opposite way. A lot of it will have to do with how Sark and the staff address it with the athletes and their families. Obviously, you'd prefer not having it be an issue at all.

Don't judge him on the 3 star current ranking, he's going to be a P5 QB1 in someone's class and a solid 4* by the end of this cycle. Florida is not fucking around in their interest level in him. Iowa is going harder after him as well since Fleck landed Knuth and Cumbie and TCU aren't going to go quietly.
Scaring him off is 9.95er nonsense, but he's not a QB2 type guy and not everyone wants to be in a class with another QB1 type talent
Thanks.

The Longhorns have been keeping tabs on players like Nick Evers, but they might be alright just sticking with one player at the position, especially if the recruitment of a second would threaten to chase off Murphy.

Would this guy really scare off Murph?

Tell that to Duncanville.
Schools like Duncanville, based on their size and location, probably don't catch many meets, if any, where they're not being pushed pretty hard by competition.
Conversely, a guy like Thompson in a lower classification, at a school about as far up in the Panhandle as you can get, might not see many serious sprinting threats until the regional, unless they hit up a decent meet early on. If he's the type to run to the comp, which is the case for plenty of good sprinters, then we won't see his best until Austin, most likely.

Brenen Thompson is a lot less interesting at 10.7 than at 10.3
Eh, early season meet, probably running against scrubs. Let me see that time at the region meet.

That's a title. The guy from the Ravens is running the defense

Yeah not certain he understands what a top list is supposed to convey....
Guess I've never really thought that deeply on exactly what a recruitment being "open" really meant, but always thought it to only mean they're not committed, both publicly or silently. So I don't really see where he's got it all wrong. Maybe he has a top 10, but is only listing the top 6?. Maybe number 8 can make a move and jump up into his top 6, kicking out a team? Maybe there's an offer he's waiting on that he hasn't gotten yet that'll shoot up into the top 6?
Or maybe he's like some of these kids, seeing all of their peers dropping edits and top 5s all this time and wanting to be a part of it so bad that they rush one out the first chance they can get.
OR maybe I should just stfu?
All I know is that we were promised a top 5 by some of the "geniuses" on here and they were wrong. I want a refund.

Also, it seemed like Thompson had to rush the throw slightly because the pulling guard Angilau whiffs on the lb
Hard to tell whether the throw was rushed, or if he just had to tighten up his mechanics, specifically lower body. But it wasn't a comfortable throw with the defender breathing down his neck.

And for sure agree it was NOT "massively." Dixon slowed down to about 3/4 speed for about three steps, the defender gaining maybe a total of a yard. Also probably not "an absolute strike" like the announcer says, but for sure not massively under-thrown.

He's good, but he's not in the discussion as the top WR in the state while Evan Stewart exists
Yah, I would think "in the discussion as the 2nd best." And I would love having the 1 and 2.

You're not addressing what I actually said, and guess what? Still aggy to blame others for the racism of our donors, and even more aggy to attack Tex who is one of the few people who actually contribute to this board. Even more to go through my post history and neg me because you're such a bitch you can't stand someone disagreeing with you and negging you 1st. But it's ok you said sir so surely that means you're gentleman that has the high ground of this discussion while being on the side of the racists. And don't use "we" to throw other people into your racist pool.
Sigh. Yes, I did address it. I don't blame aggy for it, because it was A JOKE. Like I said, we sometimes joke about Aggy here. No, I do not think aggy is behind it.
I did not "attack" texifornia. Holy hell, have you seen what attacks look like here? Yet again, just a joke, because Tex is one of our more serious posters here, especially on this specific board.
And like I said, I only negged you just as a "yah well fuck you, too!" And how's that being more of a bitch than you negging me just because you don't like my point? And who even gives a fuck about negs? I've got plenty of positive rep, I don't give a shit about losing a point to a humorless twit, I just wanted to say "Fuck you" back.
That's it, I'm not gunna waste any more space on this thread. Let's get some 'croots

Being a thin-skinned loser who blames reporters for our donors being racists and then tries to have the last word as he runs away seems pretty aggy to me but what do I know, and please keep that shit out of here
Sir, we sometimes joke about Aggy on here. Sorry it rubbed you the wrong way (I'm not). Had you replied back in the first place, I'd have just given you the middle finger back there. It's not thin-skinned, it's letting you know I saw your middle-finger and disagreed with it.
Carry on.
