  2. Tonight’s offering
  3. Kliffy get s second place (behind Jerry) for best draft setup:
  4. I know. I was agreeing with you
  5. That place didn’t just slip, it did a face plant years ago
  6. Wednesday wine
  7. SoI bought Ken Forkish’s “Flour Water Salt Yeast.” Great cookbook, easy to follow. This was my first effort today
  8. Or use a no-knead recipe
  9. We always go out for Easter brunch, but obviously couldn’t. Did a breakfast brunch this year: Migas casserole Creme brûlée French toast Cheddar bacon biscuits with sausage gravy Bacon and smoked sausage Mimosas and Screwdrivers
  10. Wife to me : “When you go to the liquor store buy a lot so you don’t have to go so often and risk exposure.”
  11. Not surprising. Fertitta was an a-hole long before coronavirus hit.
  12. Interstellar is Stellar as always:
  13. Tonight. Young, but they re-opened allocations because they aren’t having tastings, so I ordered more and opened this that I already have. After a long decant, awesome. Aaron Pott just makes great wines
  14. Southern Living recently published its Top 10 Texas BBQ joints. You are not going to believe what they packed as No. 1: https://www.southernliving.com/souths-best/texas-bbq
  15. So we’ve been at it on several threads. I’ll make this my last response to you because, frankly, you’re not worth my time Happily married with 4 kids. No, none are perfect but all are great, and all doing very well. Me? Degrees from UT and Rice. Long time partner in a large firm. You are apparently under the impression you are intellectual and financially superior to others. You aren’t. You apparently think others care about what you (or I, as I admit) say. They don’t. Enjoy your life.
  16. Big words from the King of Dallas douchebags
  17. Yeah, I didn’t think of that. It was great. Will be sure to do so next time. Also, can’t tell from this pic, but the ones they sell are about 2 1/2 inches thick
  18. They were built in 1983
  19. I don’ t think he’d make it out of Philadelphia alive
  20. I lived in Austin from 1984-87, moved away, and moved back in later 1999 (and still live here). It’s certainly different now than it was in 1999, but there was a HUGE difference between Austin mid-80s and Austin 1999.
  21. Emory is a great school, and certainly less pressure. I don’t know if Fenves was really that good or not, because it’s hard to see behind the curtain. I thought he always had the same look that Austin Mayor Steve Adler has — smiling “deer in headlights” look
  22. Well, yeah, when you're drinking $100+ bottles. You have to dial your expectations back at a lower price point. That Ruinart ain't free. I’ll back off and again say drink what you like. The poster specifically said he didn’t want a sweet wine, and Meiomi Pinot is a sugar bomb (like every Wagner wine or, in this case, a former Wagner wine).
  23. Have a defibrillator nearby Sounds great, though, but does the pickle juice affect the flavor?
