  1. What — you mean he doesn’t eat at “his” steakhouse?
  2. AustinMT replied to Washpark's topic in Food and Travel
Stopped by today. Very good, as always
  3. Looking forward to trying North End As for North: I’ve always liked it. It was a small=ish chain based out of Arizona. They sold a few months ago to the company that owns Cheesecake Factory (ugh!) so we’ll see how it holds up...
  4. You can always watch it here:

Wasn’t suggesting it wasn’t good, just looks a bit runny

Yeah - I was thinking the same thing. They smoked it to the point where the cheese melted out. Brisket looks good, though
  7. Yes, it really is a pizza and Italian food wasteland out this way, and has been for several years. Tony C’s in Bee Cave is OK, but not top level Cedro in the H-E-B Lakeline center is not bad
  8. Of course Spirit has done away with it. I understand they will soon be charging extra for oxygen.

    Something lighter tonight
  10. Same here. As for people reclining in front of me — I wish they wouldn’t, but not much I can do about it. Now the guys that try to push up the aisle to get ahead when you get to the gate.....

Valentine’s wine The champagne was very nice. The Fairchild was amazing
  12. I’m veering a bit off topic, but I’ve seen this from people over the years as well (I.e. closet fans because they didn’t attend). I think it’s OK to be a fan of UT (or wherever) even if you didn’t go there, or even go to college. I’e met lots of UT fans who did not attend UT.
  13. This — I’ve had much better result since I switched to butcher paper

  15. I think they have a qualifier that says up to 48 hours, but it should be instant based on my experience
  16. What is this, Kansas City?
  17. MIssed that, but it's still dealing with about 3 persons per minute
  18. What I’m having trouble getting my head around is serving 550 people in 45 minutes max. Say 4 lines, so 135 (rounded down to make the math easier) per line, that’s getting a person through the line in 20 seconds to fit in 135 per line a 45 minute window.

Damn. Getting the Spring release allocations Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in

    How was the 2003 Comtes?
  21. La Fonda on Main is still amazing
  22. It would have been even better had he not shown up grossly overweight, requiring them to use a mumu for clothing and film him in shadows.
  23. Sure he does
  24. I took it more like he’d been fired or quit. I assume we’ll learn the backstory at some point
