  1. Had one for about 5 years. Never had anything dry out. FYI — it’s not really made for cooking boneless chicken breasts — use a grill. It’s a smoker, not a grill. Incredibly easy to use, put on the meat, put in a remote thermometer and walk away.
  2. Did that last weekend. It was awesome...
  3. Um, I guess I should have explicitly used the word “sarcasm” for you....
  4. Weren’t we in a battle with them for Charlie Brewer? And weren’t his father and grandfather QBs for UT back in the day? At least isn’yt That what the announcers for the Baylor/UT broadcast saying every 5 minutes?
  5. 7:00 am is the start time
  6. Jack Allen's in Austin has a fried beef rib on the regular menu. Comes with green chile gravy. And a side of stents.
  7. Agree on wine with age (and with the crazy prices on new releases). Problem is it is difficult to buy wine with age in Texas. I buy library wines when wineries hav ethen available. Winebid is great, but no shipping to Texas.
  8. Thought of a couple of others — Ladera and Heitz. Right at $50
  9. Catena Alta Malbec runs right at $50, and is good Honestly, hard to find a really good Napa cab for $50. Hall (the basic Hall cab) is 50-ish, as is Stag’s Leap Artemis. Both are OK. Daou Reserve (Paso Robles) is a little over $50, and not bad.
  10. I think he means Brandon, the douche
  11. Ruinart Blanc de Blancs or Rose —about $75 bottle. It’s a eally good NV champagne. I always keep a few bottles on Honda because it’s really hard to beat for the price/quality combination
  12. Bone-in prime rib does great on the smoker
  13. List of currently-unemployed college coaches that would do a better job than Shaka: Abe Lemon Jerry Tarkanian Henry Iba Adolph Rupp John Wooden James Naismith
  14. Because they aren't going to get the necessary donations with The Shocker still coaching
  15. Try Restaurant Rebirth in the Warehouse District. Check the reviews...
  16. Unfortunately, few choices on my side of town. Choices for breakfast tacos are Rudy’s or Torchy’s. Not really anything different for lunch or dinner either except full service places.
  17. That was the point of my post. At the Lakeway store at least, it was a thick corn tortilla, not the usual one that falls apart, and a fresh flour tortilla, not one from a bag.
  18. Last trip to Torchy’s was just 2 weeks ago (Anderson Mill location in Austin). Usual crappy tortillas. Went by the Lakeway location tonight, where I’ve been many times. Got home and opened the foil — to find a (seemingly) freshly=made, thick griddled flour tortilla on one taco, and a thick tasty corn tortilla on the other. Have they finally decided to get rid of the cheap ass tortillas?
  19. He needs great coordinators because he can't coach anything himself....
