  1. BREAKING NEWS: Del Conte gives Herman a 5 year extension based on his win
  2. You can buy a lot of dry-aged beef for that price. It would take a long time to get your money back when you add in the cost of the meat to then age, not to mention the amount of work you have to put in yourself.
  3. And the Spottswoode Lyndenhurst is a really good “second” wine
  4. Valentina’s today. Tortillas were great as always:
  5. I’ve previously compared CDC to a huckster, and until he shows he can be a killer, I’ll stick to that assessment. I will say he was saddled with large contracts with Shaka and Herman (though CDC did exacerbate that issue by extending Herman), and with the current economic environment it makes it harder to eat those dollars.
  6. Has anyone tried The Gramercy yet (where the place called MacArthur’s used to be)?
  7. Using chicken stock as the steeping liquid helps reduce the bitterness
  8. After which he will go with bubble screens
  9. I have done plenty of negative reviews and tweets on Vivint, and just waiting in my contract to finish. Run far away from them.
  10. Recipe (I used beef instead of pork. The recipes you find use either, and some spell it “chile” others “chili.” This recipe is particularly good IMO): https://www.bonappetit.com/recipes/article/groat-ricks-chili-colorado
  11. Yes. 2017 Incubo. We buy several different wines from him (just placed an order for my Fall allocation). Incubo is a spring release.
  12. Last night, with dry-aged steak. Young wine, but decanted for a couple of hours. Love Pott wines:
  13. So now we’re using Charlie Strong as the standard? Also, assuming your worst-case scenario happens, the spread at that point was 11.

    Pizza

They stood out in their early years because they were one of the early places that tried to elevate the pizza game in Austin. They got passed in quality when other places opened that had better pizza. The garlic knots were addicting.
  15. MGM is now the equivalent of a “Group of 5” mid-major. It’s also owned by its former creditors after its bankruptcy a few years ago. They have been angling for a sale, and had hoped to use the Bond film rights as the crown jewel to get someone to buy. With the money form that now in doubt, makes sense they’d just put it out to the highest bidder, or maybe try to get Apple or Netflix to buy teh studio.
  16. Thanks Mr. Miyagi. That play is emblematic of Tom Herman’s (and predecessor’ s) coaching. In theory, you back off if your team is at a point where it can. This team isn’t there, and hasn’t been for years.
  17. No, you don’t. You step on their neck. We’ve had no killer instinct for a very, very long time.
  18. He did it because Aranda is his butt buddy. Again, it was an 11-point game, not an overwhelming advantage against the Sisters of Charity. You score the touchdown and set a tone for the team.
  19. Agree. We were up by 11, not 50. You score the touchdown. Example #453 of why Herman is not, and never will be, an elite coach. Would Saban have told his player to go down?
  20. Sometimes forced marriages work — Brooks & Dunn, Loggins & Messina, the original BaD Radio. This marriage is not working. Bob is actually good for the station — they need a true sports nerd somewhere. Danny is pretty useless, and I’ve always thought Corby is just a yuck-monkey, but Rhyner seemed to flow with it and made it work. Sirois was really good when he filed in for Danny. I don’t seem them ditching Corby, but I’d like to see Bob and Mike Sirois give it a try.
