  1. And that's all I was making connections with after the post about Gaza striking a hospital with rockets. Gaza hospitals have been hit too, but because they are Hamas hideouts.
  2. That documentation is already out there about them doing this. It is known. Even from neutral sources. I swear I read something on it in this thread. Found it - Ah Shifa Hospital on Wikipedia I know not everyone likes wiki, but look at the references for primary sources. There are 23 citations just on this short half-page about the hospital. And surely it's not the only mosque, school, or hospital being used as cover for Hamas.
  3. Siege continues as IDF prepares for a ground invasion (presumably)
  4. I had never read the Hamas charter statements, but after hearing about that Dukhan's death I looked: Goals of the HAMAS: "The Islamic Resistance Movement is a distinguished Palestinian movement, whose allegiance is to Allah, and whose way of life is Islam. It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine." (Article 6) On the destruction of Israel: "Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it." (Preamble) The call to jihad: "The day the enemies usurp part of Moslem land, Jihad becomes the individual duty of every Moslem. In the face of the Jews' usurpation, it is compulsory that the banner of Jihad be raised." (Article 15) Rejection of a negotiated peace settlement: "[Peace] initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement... Those conferences are no more than a means to appoint the infidels as arbitrators in the lands of Islam... There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are but a waste of time, an exercise in futility." (Article 13) Condemnation of the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty: "Egypt was, to a great extent, removed from the circle of struggle [against Zionism] through the treacherous Camp David Agreement. The Zionists are trying to draw other Arab countries into similar agreements in order to bring them outside the circle of struggle. ...Leaving the circle of struggle against Zionism is high treason, and cursed be he who perpetrates such an act." (Article 32) Anti-Semitic incitement: The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: 'O Moslem, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him." (Article 7) "Zionism scheming has no end, and after Palestine, they will covet expansion from the Nile to the Euphrates River. When they have finished digesting the area on which they have laid their hand, they will look forward to more expansion. Their scheme has been laid out in the 'Protocols of the Elders of Zion'." (Article 32) "The HAMAS regards itself the spearhead and the vanguard of the circle of struggle against World Zionism... Islamic groups all over the Arab world should also do the same, since they are best equipped for their future role in the fight against the warmongering Jews." (Article 32)
  5. Beheadings or not, they are slaughtering children, toddlers, infants. I've seen video and pictures of infant car seats, boosters, etc absolutely soaked in blood, a few of them clearly from a gunshot to the head based on the blood location and amount.
  6. My friend from Nazareth (works as a tour guide and I hang out with her and her family every time I'm there)... digital silence. Can't get her by phone. Hasn't posted anything on FB or Insta since Thursday. UPDATE: Oh my God, just before submitting this I checked FB again and she just posted 4 mins ago. She and her family are safe. In hiding but safe. Tears in my eyes.
  7. Palestinian leadership has been offered a true split state deal on multiple occasions from Israel. I believe the first time it was offered it was about 80% Palestine and 20% Israel and was outright rejected.
  8. Just read a report of retaliation.
  9. I remember that loss vividly. The thread on here had tons of ODs on aggy misery tears. It was one of the more epic live-game threads we've had.
  10. On the radio they said his family got in the ambulance with him - the injured ark player. Yikes.
  11. The roller coaster is going to be especially comical this year. Click clack click clack click clack.
  12. or mother watching father have sex with multiple sheep. #aggy
  13. No arrest made yet in that fan's death? A group of people beat a man to death with thousands of witnesses and no one was detained or arrested? Fuck the NFL and paying a dime to watch that shit in person.
  14. Probably couldn't get it tailored. It's piss.
  15. I’ll be in Austin in October for a couple of days. Where’s the go to place for cheese enchiladas since Dart Bowl closed?
  16. I love this movie and it still gives me hope for humanity that when I show it in class (HS sophomores) they genuinely like it and in contrast to the "textbook" material or curriculum "guidelines" (fuck that noise), their term papers over this movie are overwhelmingly thoughtful and insightful. And @GhostOfTomJoad nailed my favorite line in his first post: "What is your nationality? I'm a drunkard. That makes Rick a citizen of the world." I know a kid is on his/her game when they laugh at that line when we watch it.
  17. I did it the other way around from po elvis's gf. Early 90s October, enter me, a dumb elementary kid. Instead of sprinkling cinnamon on the inside of the lid of our jack-o-lantern to make it smell all nice in our house, I misread the label and put cumin on the pumpkin. My dad said our house smelled like a cantina for weeks.
  18. She's still the second fastest 400m hurdler ever and only 22 years old and a really nice kid. Without Syd (yeah, it's a stupid game to play what-if) she'd be the greatest 400m hurdler ever at still a relatively early stage in her career - it's like going against Jordan in the east in the 90s... sucks to be you! I wouldn't be shocked if she one day gets the WR. I just wish we could see those two race more head-to-head, but as long as Syd is focusing on the 400, it will likely only be in 4x4s where they happen to be running the same leg in the same heat or finals.
  19. That was an epic finish. She's one of my favorite non-USA athletes and was very happy for her after that face-plant during the mixed 4x4.
  20. W 4x4... wtf? No excuse there. Sucks because I was so happy to see a former Indianapolis HS (Pike) girl who we've competed against get a chance. Also wish another Indy guy Hocker (Cathedral HS) had done better - thought he would. Both men and women 4x1 didn't crush it (maybe 2 good handoffs of the 6) but damn they still went gold which was awesome! As a 4x1 and sprint coach it made for a happy Saturday. Been a pretty good championship week for the sprinters. Just wish Sydney had been healthy enough to compete during this week. Looking forward to the 4x4s tomorrow. Wish Germany had qualified. Missed out on finals by 0.24 - one of my to celeb crushes, Luna Thiel is on the team - pretty sure I've posted her in the Olympic hotties thread. Got to meet her in Oregon a year ago during my days there for the meet.
  21. I stalled out in the 5th season as many of the episodes began to feel too similar.
  22. I can't believe this thread came up and I didn't notice it. I remembered that thread back in June when school was out and I had free time so I bought a book telling a similar story that I found, bought, and read in just a couple days. https://www.amazon.com/Crossing-Congo-Over-Water-Place/dp/1849046859
