  1. there is nothing more crypto twitter than getting your account hacked to defraud others out of their crypto. the SEC is soooo getting on board with this move.
  2. but how else can i showcase the Dunning-Kruger effect to its full glory? some of the coins i have traded would/will never come back so long term holding is not an option. set stop loss and take profit on the way up. I am not even talking about memecoins which can be fun but everyone knows they will approach zero at some point.
  3. yeah, i have different strategy (being generous here with that term) and probably more working altcoins than you just hodling BTC. if a bullrun is happening, i don't think whales will just shoot it off from the ETF. but rather looking to take profit on the announcement and buy back in to the market on the dip.
  4. anyone going to sell on the news? whales have not used all the billion from xmas and there was another billion started last week. there is money there to move the market up. question is whether whales dump after ETF announcement to load their bags again at lower level.
  5. @NowThis it's ok. Apparently all the youngsters are doing it.
  6. contact cyberpower and ask them what's up
  7. ^^ Exactly. Total pump signal, except when it's not. Everyone better load up in case I need some exit liquidity.
  8. did prime rib and lobster tails. pulled the meat at 115F from the green egg and let it rest wrapped in foil, then the in-laws were late, so it rested for about 1.5 hours. Still turned out great lobster tails were cut in half and grilled with some butter. Managed to not overcook them and they turned out great.
  9. in general, tether mint = whales are taking out loans to buy (BTC, alts) to push the market up. when BTC moves into cexs it's bearish as whales look to take profits and sell BTC. when it's market moving type money, they have to be somewhat delicate in timing and will use 'good' or 'bad' news (ETF happening; not happening; China banning etc...) to mask things and get more public money flowing. it's never that simple though. there are twitter accounts that track whale moves and try to map out what they and the big cexs are doing, but it's never 1+1=2. if all that money is there waiting to buy, they are not going to buy at the local top, right? There will be a move down so they can pack their bags more cheaply. again, nfa and all that. as i have repeatedly said on this thread i get all my info from an anon discord channel lol. i am about as qualified to talk crypto as some of you are at breaking down PK's zone defense on the football board (sushihorn notwithstanding). i've got roughly half my crypto kitty in the market right now. some long-ish term and some with stop losses set.
  10. Fresh $1B tether minted Xmas morning. Hope your bags are packed.
  11. this thread is frightening. Son got his first B in HS (as a soph) and we are like "well, there goes UT". The CAP thing UT Tyler sounds interesting if he could qualify for that. got some family there anyway.
  12. i mean, how else would you even know that Michael Jackson died?
  13. is Ohtani really giving up the time value of money and not getting any increase in total compensation for deferring? the Bonilla deferred buyout comes to mind, so why would Ohtani give the Dodgers an interest free loan essentially (other than wanting to free up salary for stellar teammates)? I have to believe this has not really been done before 'cause no other player would risk inflation (or new taxes) eating in to that 700M. Fuck, the world or America may not even resemble today in 10-15 years. 700M could buy some kick ass zombie apocalypse gear or a private island or three with Airwolf, Blue Thunder AND Firefox to ferry you back and forth to the mainland.
  14. dude could probably buy the real Rosetta Stone at this point. British Museum, right? yes, he is an institution and there are ways to make some money back, but $70MM seems a little panic-y and bidding against themselves.
  15. no one really thinks utility or feature set or scalability has anything to do with the pricing, right (talking about alt coins here)? we are just trying to read the whale tea leaves and make some money in their wake. at least that's my take on it. World events, new stories, EFT chatter are the bandaids to help manipulate the markets. Whales just liquidated a TON of leveraged longs with this plunge down from recent highs. not sure how much tether they still have liquid to keep the momentum going, but overall i think a bull run is starting where holding coins longish term will make sense. Been riding one called INJ for a while now along with some SOL exposure. I still remember my stop loss hitting on SOL back in the day around 90 and liquidating my position. amazing that it could come back from the dead like this. there is now a ton of chatter about SOL NFTs and that volume will spike up and surpass ETH based NFTs every now and then. i need to go through my old Phantom wallets and see how much loose SOL is still there.
  16. i also love the mental gymnastics that the only team in CFB that got better as the year went on was Alabama.
  17. i saw some tweet that said the Wynn dealers make a record number of tips on Saturday night. the exact number escapes me but something like an extra $2-3K per dealer vs normal Sat night.
  18. 25% in. One more dip This is not a drill. I need your exit liquidity.
  19. All the linemen were down field thinking run
  20. i think there was a permanent stickied thread about UT PUF taking money out of west Texas oil and that Tech should get some of that back on that old board RaiderPower. the Tech old guard was very salty about that. no fuss no muss 14pt win. let's get it done.
  21. tbh, Frontier, Spirit etc... really provide a valuable service to capture the lion's share of this nonsense. maybe they should be monetized when crazy shit goes viral on their planes.
