there's a shop in crestview (about 4 miles north of campus) which i take my kid's car to. he's replaced a faulty thermostat, an alternator (had to recreate a brace to save me a few hundred dollars because nissan is stupid), and the ac compressor. all solid work and reasonably priced.
it used to be called jimmy's automotive but jimmy retired. one of his employee's bought/took over the shop. it's now called crestview auto repair. highly recommend.

Unbelievable story of blatant cheating and lying. Star player was supposed to be suspended for the season opener after being ejected from state title game in 2018, so the coaches made up a fake player name and the stud played under that name and a different number...
The RB was given the suspension after being ejected from last year's title game, but the team found a way to disguise Jackson, or so they thought.
Instead of his normal No. 4, he wore No. 24 and went under a freshman named "Marvin Burks." It was Jackson's tattoos that ended up giving him away. Jackson, as well as head coach Brandon Gregory, both went along with the lie that the junior didn't play, despite him actually putting up 109 yards on the ground and scoring a 56-yard touchdown in the 32-21 win.
Gregory told the Post-Dispatch that the imaginary freshman Burks, "earned" the start and that "it was his time to play ball." Jackson also put his acting skills to the test, telling the newspaper that "watching last week, it wasn't fun at all. It gave me a spark."

I'm pretty sure Planet Fitness centers are mostly franchised, so their equipment can vary from location to location.
I apprehensively switched to a Planet Fitness that just opened near my house. I was hesitant because at my location, no, there's no free weight bench or squat. I'm still happy with it. I'm not joining a power lifting team or the NFL at my age, and the dozen or so smith machines (yeah yeah, hate away) are never all being used at once and are good enough for me. It's big, clean, and there's a ton of hot women there. No ragrets.
how many of these 'hot' women does it take to get to a ton?

Drew Brees is going to have a little talk with Tom about that in February, like we were robbed of this last time around.
Yeah if Brees wouldn't have thrown it at Michael Thomas's feet on a 2 yard in ( or if Payton would have called a run) they would have killed the clock and won. Or if they would have scored in overtime

The Colts punted with 1:49 left in the clock: if Houston uses its two TOs after 1st and 2nd down, AND holds on 3rd down, they’d had punted with 2:00 left, so you’d have gained a total of 11 seconds, and that’s if Indy gets conservative on 3rd down.
My point is that by making them run that 3rd down play at the (say) 2:21 mark, you’re giving them way less incentive to not be aggressive and throw for the first down. From their point of view, if they throw an incomplete pass, they’re punting with like 2:12 left, vs being conservative and punting with 2:00. If I’m them, I’ll totally take that 12-second trade off for a chance to ice the game.
Essentially, in exchange for giving up 11 seconds the Texans created a higher probability that they would get the ball back.
I forgot that buttchin let time run off after the sack, called timeout, then took an intentional safety...all of that is BoB clock/game management skills in a nutshell. Inexcusable to take a sack in that scenario (Should have been pounded into 4's head pre-snap), waste time getting punt team out there, call timeout, then take a safety (which was the only right choice he made)

Calling it before the 2 minute warning saves you 29 seconds; calling it afterward saves you 40. Also have to look at 3rd down options that gives Indy:
Scenario 1: 3rd and 10, Texans out of timeouts, 2:10 on the clock
Scenario 2: 3rd and 10, Texans with one timeout, 1:54 on the clock (what actually happened)
Under Scenario 1, throwing the ball deep/over the middle is a pretty risk-free option for the Colts; either way the clock is going to stop with 2:00, and you give yourself a legit shot at picking up the first down and Houston never getting the ball back. As it was, doing anything but handing off or running an incredibly conservative pass play (which they did) would have been incredibly risky. By surrendering 16 seconds of gametime, you greatly increase the odds that you get the ball back. Obviously the fuckup was needing to call a timeout to take a safety.
Taking the safety was the right call there, but I've always wondered in that situation why teams even bother putting their punter back there. If he's trying to catch the ball it might bounce off his hands, hit him in the face mask, etc, and you have a chance at giving up a TD there instead of a safety. As long as your long snapper doesn't completely shit the bed snapping the ball, it seems a lot safer to have the punter stay the fuck out of the way...
In most cases you are right but 29 seconds is way too much to let come of the clock. calling the timeouts before the 2 minute warning forces them to run their plays before the 2 minute warning with the clock stopped...if you stop them and force the punt , you will get the ball back with more time left on the clock . I know we are talking about BoB here, but if you have the ball you control the pace of play and hopefully way less than 40 seconds run off between plays, and you can run out of bounds, incomplete pass etc to manage the clock. Also there was only 1:41 and we had no timeouts for the last possession. If you don't stop them you will lose anyways, and in this scenario calling the timeouts ahead the of 2 minute warning gives Houston the ball with about 2:15 left and obviously the 2 minute warning .
-
1:41 and no timeout your way BoB...2:15 and the 2 minute warning my way...how much are you getting paid?

Call timeout with 2:29 you fucking moron! You save way more time than calling it after the 2 minute warning

They are there to drum up the excitement and to constantly hype the game like most announcers. They hardly ever point out obvious officiating biases or errors and at most call it ‘questionable’ during the game. They should call it a screw job or remark about how fucked up it is when obvious holds or targeting isn’t called correctly still and evenly. They should call out players who beat women, but they don’t. They should have reminded every fan of Baylor and Penn State about the sex abuse, but they do not. They are there to put lipstick on a pig.
Griffin, Dan, Ricky, and Casey (on occasion) are there to add actual analysis and commentary. It’s is why I love watching the games with the former players comments. Casey going off on the arky_Texas bowl game was fantastic.
Ahmad is a former player as well...but I guess he's been fully reprogrammed

Quick question on the damn officials.
On the non-TD play, if Watson was "down by being in the grasp" and the play was over negating the TD, shouldn't the hit he took be a personal foul, late hit on the QB?
Just came to post that...wtf is he being protected from if he got hit anyway?

I don’t know why some of you care so much about trivial things when there are actual issues with the team.
Ageee, but they should be pointing out the obvious problems. Stanley hitting a receiver with a defender nowhere near him does not mean he's going to Canton. Williams running through some attempts to pull his flag does not make himthe best player in the country. Those guys are both very nice players and made some great plays, but our defense played like absolute horsehit....scheme, effort, technique...it's all broken

Pooka Williams is the second coming of Barry Sanders from what i heard tonight. And Kansas has time be the best 2-5 team in the history of college football
