As a non-regular-church-attending follower of Christ, I'll take a shot at this one. Your first sentence sure feels like you're trying to claim some personal persecution that I don't think is the point of most of this conversation. Your next couple of sentences start with "I know"...but based on some posts earlier in this thread, regarding translations in the bible, I don't know how you can so confidently say you "know" what the bible says about homosexuality.
Is homosexuality a sin? I'll admit that, prior to some of these conversations about translations, I would have confidently said "yes". Now, I'm not sure. HOWEVER, I don't spend much time worrying about it, as it isn't on the list of sins that I commit. I don't say that to mean I'm proud of committing sins. I'm simply trying to say that there is a long list of sins, and *all* fall short in the attempt to avoid them. IMO, we should all be focused on the sins we personally commit, and not worry about the sins others commit (assuming they don't include a victim).
It always seems strange to me how society picks a subset of sins to get all 'up in arms' about. Lust, envy, pride, etc. are all over our entertainment streams (and a huge part of most of our lives), BUT DID YOU KNOW 2 GUYS ARE LIVING TOGETHER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN???!!!!!!
