  1. Fuck these refs. And these fucking vandy-knob slobbering announcers too
  2. WilCo annex off 79...<15 min in-and-out yesterday...
  3. Texas 48 Vandy 13 TX Passing: 424
  4. Wife recently added Kindle Unlimited, so I've been drawn into a couple of series since they were free and all that. Light reading, nothing earth-shattering, but long series if you need filler. - Pike Chronicles, GP Hudson (15 books) - Empire Rising, DJ Holmes (20 books - I'm 7 in) Similar constructs really - expanding human space sphere, galactic war, and interstellar politics. Neither has impressed me enough to think I'll ever re-read, but they've kept my attention when I needed something to read.
  5. Yeah,, I'm with ROFL on this. I'm viewing this like I view my car project. Nothing is ever really "finished"...there's always more that can be done...
  6. I honestly think if he had immediately given the place back, he would have had a legitimate chance of Max getting a penalty for forcing him off track. And, as others have said, he would likely have passed him again anyway. (And yes, I'm a Red Bull fan.)
  7. Getting there around 11am, there were at least 2 open gates to the track, with zero foot traffic, that most people couldn't use, since they were reserved for PSL holders. This led to a giant mass of humanity at the main plaza gates. During the afternoon, the free water distribution right outside the turn 12 grandstand was out of water for a while. But, you could still buy water for $5. Beer was $11-$14, and chicken tenders & fries were $20. We were in Lot F, and it took us just under 2 hours to get to 130 leaving after qualifying last night. Was definitely a shitshow with (as mentioned above) race fans leaving in droves and music fans arriving. On the positive side, I've been at Turn 1 and Turn 9 in previous years, and the action seen from Turn 12 was definitely better than 9, and right up there with 1, IMO.
  8. We'll be out there today for the first time in a few years for F1...I'm expecting the same shittery for traffic & logistics as past years...
  9. Yes, I'm doing a lot of this work - especially assembly - in my living room. Still too hot outside... Decided on 6x4 playing space for the gaming table. Buddy had an executive desk that he no longer needed, so I decided to use it as the base. Planning & sizing up: Vertical edges of the desk were not flat, which complicated my plans slightly: Here is where we sit today - base mounted, vault sides mounted. I'm so tempted to cut the neoprene and start using it as-is... FInishing rails, with cupholders & stain, are next...but we'll see how quickly that happens... Still undecided on any electrical outlets, but led lights will for sure be included.

  12. Hate to see this...Danny's gone from RB.
  13. That's a pick all day. Also, my God, you guys are right -Brando is a beating, but both these guys suck ass.
  14. I love reading these screenshots, but they consistently surprise me with their cognitive pretzels. If you want to argue that it is too early in the season to really understand how good/bad teams are, fine. That, in itself, is not that unreasonable. But they have an astounding ability to selectively apply it when it suits their narrative ("mean tu sucks") and to ignore it when it doesn't ("Georgia is going to beat them...regardless of how they looked against Kentucky...in fact, now that I think about it, Kentucky probably beats them too"). Also, if you ignore the matchup between the schools, they play the same # of ranked teams that we do. In fact, we've both already played a team that was ranked in the top 10. We all know how those turned out, so maybe one of these teams has actually proved a little bit already. So maybe our schedule is at least as hard as theirs. Also, last one...the "noise at pyle field" will trip us up. Just like it did @Alabama. And @Michigan. Oh, and @pyle field the last couple of visits (and our overall record there). Whatever...rent free...
  15. 55-13. 365 for Arch
  16. Live, it sure looked like Sainz came across into Checo. The replays I've seen make it look more 50/50. I do think LeClerc was intentionally backing Checo into Sainz, to distract Checo some, and to give Sainz a chance to get 2 Ferraris on the podium. Which reminds me...Bernie is amazing, but the rest of this crew is pretty pathetic. Often a lap or 2 late in noticing a strategy. Don't seem to be aware of lap time changes to know if driver A sped up, or driver B slowed down for some reason. And for fuck's sake, can you not scream for every single update? "I'm watching the pit lane, AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE WHOLE TEAM IS COMING OUT FOR THIS STOP!!!!! I JUST NEED TO CONFIRM, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THEY'RE CHANGING ALL FOUR TIRES THIS TIME!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!! YES THEY ARE!!!!! THEY MUST THINK THIS WILL HELP THEM IN THE RACE, BUT WE'LL HAVE TO WATCH AND SEE HOW THIS STRATEGY PLAYS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
  17. How the fuck is anyone supposed to take these people seriously?
  18. Horns: 56 Those guys: 6 490 295/195/0
  19. Getting into policy details is risky - especially if both parties aren't sharing details. Any policy includes weighing a benefit against a cost. The minute she shares details, the "airwaves" will be flooded with the trumplicans amplifying the cost and ignoring the benefit. The difference, to me, is that I believe she has policy plans, and she is being smart about when & how to share those details. I don't believe he has a plan (I also don't believe he'll have one "in two weeks" lol). He got off too easy on killing the copartisan border bill. He got off too easy on long disproven claims of winning the election. He got off too easy on his plan to pardon Jan 6 insurrectionists. I agree with others that maybe she had to chose her shots and not unload everything at once. She skirted around saying this outright, but if he really cared about this country, you'd see a lot different behavior. All his actions reinforce the fact that he only cares about himself. Overall, I think she did amazing. It's nearly impossible to win a debate with an opponent who isn't constrained by facts & reality, but she managed to do it.
  20. Fuck. I’ve been of the opinion that AM would continue to be a joke as long as junior was driving…but daddy may be about to prove that money can fix anything.
  21. Chapter 2 was great! while playing, we thought we were missing the “curative” cards, but an internet search this morning says they look just like the “injury” cards, so maybe they were hidden in with those. I’ll have to check when I get home. Only complaint is the setup and cleanup takes quite a bit of time. I’ve got to get this game table done.
