  1. Hope both Hunter and Mitchell come back next year.
  2. Tough loss but great to fight until the last second. For those of you putting on a Texas uniform for the last time, congrats for all of your hard work and dedication. I hope that great things are in everyone of your futures. For those of you that have the ability to come back next year, I hope that you do with a sense of the opportunity that is ahead of you. Use this tough loss as motivation for the future.
  3. Why are you bringing common sense to this thread?
  4. Well, he's playing as a scholarship athlete in college and is a student at UT so that's already 2 things that he has accomplished that you haven't.
  5. Thanks Braff. I believe that's 5 teammates and my coach that are gone that I know of.
  6. Your jumper was almost as bad as mine. Sorry but you asked.😁
  7. Tommy Delatour passed away earlier this month. We were teammates for 3 years. Great guy and a great Longhorn. A note to all of the younger posters. Most young people think that the worst part of getting older is that your health begins to deteriorate a bit. It does but that's not the worst part. Before Kirk Douglas passed away at 100 I believe, he was asked about that. Despite being in a wheelchair and hardly able to speak, he said this. The worst part about getting old isn't losing your health but rather all of the people important in your life are gone. There is no worse feeling. Sorry for the preaching. RIP Tommy. There is going to be a great hoops team in Heavan.
  8. Years ago, I was reading about that movie and if I remember correctly, this kid was the best athlete in the movie. Supposedly, he was such a good free throw shooter that he had problems actually missing a free throw but I get your point. It's tough to compare athletes from years ago with today because the game is so different now. I would have loved to see lebron challenge the prehistoric beasts like Wilt, Russell, Zelmo, Thurmond, Reed and the rest.
  9. Hope Boston College doesn't let Bill trade away all of their draft picks.
  10. Wasn't Foreman in the Sports Illustrated game? Wasn't Page a judge at some level?
  11. The kids are finally learning to play together. It takes time and I think they are now there. Disu is finally healthy and they are playing much better team defense. Weaver has been a huge surprise and max now understands that his teammates are working hard to get him shots and he is responding. The coaches also have a better understanding of their rotations. The second half of conference could go really well.;
  12. We played there one year. In prehistoric times, the Marriott Center was the largest gym in the country seating about 20k. The benches were below the court and the gym was one level sloping slowly away from the court. There were about 13k in attendance and it was relatively quiet because of the gym's configuration. Supposedly tomorrow is a sellout so it will be loud.
  13. I am not sure that Spain had invented the Spanish flu yet There was a disease that was transmitted through dinosaurs from China so he may have been infected with the China dinosaur flu/.
  14. No. I am younger. When I was a freshman at UT, Brat was a 6th year senior.
  15. True. I am a big fan of the Flintstones, and it has nothing to do with the fact that I once dated Wilma in junior high school.
  16. You are definitely an "old" because one day we are going to take over this board so we need all the members that we can get.
  17. Absolutely. I fought next to John Wayne. I was 12 at the time and Armybrat was a 6th year senior at UT. BTW, you are now demoted back to Private Slaughter.
  18. When there was registration at Gregory, we couldn't practice that day.
  19. The aggys lost even more. Missouri is on an upward trend. Freeze will out recruit elkp and with us and OU joining the SEC, the aggys are moving down 4 more spots and maybe even more.
