  1. Guys, please stop all this crap. These are 17 year old kids and everyone one of you and me did stupid crap at that age. If the young man is truly conflicted, thats his deal and not yours. Most of you are making judgements based on your experiences and not his. Nothing good comes from this and you look like a bunch of aggys who actually ran off a highly recruited young man years ago. Start acting like We're Texas. If the young man comes back to Austin great, if not wish him well and move on and quit taking this stuff personally.
  2. Someone should tell this young man about 2 other Texas running backs that were #1 in the country in high school...Earl and Billy Sims and how things worked out for both.
  3. Don't be in a rush. This is a 2 year trip to the league .When you run a marathon, you don't run 26 miles. You run 1 mile 26 times. Take one day at a time.
  4. Abbott and Costello would like a word with you.
  5. I do that before every season. One day I may be right...if I live long enough..😀
  6. Maybe this is why he delayed his transfer paperwork. I hope he stays but if he goes, we will be fine.
  7. I believe that he said a while back that he never attended UT.
  8. You're right. You're not me. You were never a student at UT and you're jealous because these young men were scholarship athletes who graduated from UT and that's 2 things you were never able to accomplish. And no one cares whether you remember these young men or not. You mean absolutely nothing to the program.
  9. Ive been to Greeley many times and never had a problem. Its growing rapidly and isn't too far from the mountains.
  10. Could Verlander pitch on Monday so he could pitch in the Red Sox series?
  11. They don't need a new arena. What's wrong with the Heart of Texas Coliseum?
  12. Supposedly he left the campaign to go home to look for his pet turtle GUs. Hopefully he will find that Gus is OK and then he should build a wall around Gus so he doesn't get lost again.
  13. number of top 5 teams Texas beat this year 2 number of top 5 teams Utah beat this year 0
  14. When real basketball was played,
  15. Help me out. Was that game at HOT because if it was, you are correct. That was a temporary floor that they put in and removed after every game. To make matters worse and I kid you not, every time we were there, we had to walk from the locker room through a bunch of farm yard animals to get to the court. Think of walking through San Francisco keeping your head down for surprise droppings. The good 'ol SWC. Best conference ever.
  16. You.re the exact opposite of BWG that nobody should ever ever ever share his thoughts on the subject here or anywhere else for that matter. You make Westcott Eberts' takes on Shaka look reasonable and objective.
  17. I don't disagree. MY comment was focused on the young man from Arizona who is a db.
  18. Focus on the young men that have been recruited in the last 2 classes. Ask him if any of those young men have a chance to get drafted. Probably at least 5 of them. Don't focus on the young men that Coach Herman didn't recruit but the ones they did. Also, where are you going to get better prepared for the league...facing SEC offenses or Big 12 offenses.
  19. No problem. My comment was just a specific one and not referring to another post. Having said that, you are right about Sonny. Between him and espn, college sports has been destroyed.
  20. I don't remember what it was but a few years ago, we were talking at one of the reunions and he mentioned something about Los Angeles. I don't remember if it was about family or something else but his interest in LA doesn't come as a surprise.
  21. My bad. He was taking outside shots and UH couldn't stop him. BTW, Sutton was a good coach but he was a real ass.
  22. I was at that UH game. If I remember correctly, Wacker was unstoppable and the best player on the court. He was knocking down 3s and when UH would go out an guard him, he would go right around them and score near the hoop. That was one of the most amazing player performances that I ever saw. Also, I think that I read that until Wacker got hurt, the horns were never behind once in any game. If thats true, that was just incredible.
