  1. Looks like they stuffed it into Accrueds and Other, which is where you hide your shit. That number did go up, so if this dude’s hypothesis is right, I’d be real curious what hidden danger is in there, offsetting the decreases in the deposits.
  2. I just assume he is hiring another bad coordinator to make his son look better.
  3. Everything at the rim for them. Need to be better there.
  4. Yeah, it hit a few festivals last year and the buzz was strong. No idea why it has taken so long to come out, but excited for it. Powell has a shot at being a big star.
  5. Of course he doesn't. That would take actual, you know, work. Something he has never done.
  6. I am 41 and 100% washed, but I try to keep up with what's going on in the music world. I gave Olivia Rodrigo a shot and like a lot of it. She makes some good pop/rock ("Good 4 You", "Bad Idea Right?") and some good ballads ("Enough for You", "Drivers License"). It's all cleverly written and she wears the late teens/early 20's angst/rebellion well. Certainly much better than a lot of other who have tried the same thing. I also really like "Vampires", but it kind of loses me by the end. I found a full piano version and it's pretty great. Quick CSB. I tend to listen to music loudly in my car and when I was going through Olivia Rodrigo songs, I happened to drive by McCallum High right as school got out. I had to turn it down, so a bunch of teens didn't see some creep in his 40's (probably look 60 to them) listening to her in front of their school.
  7. Looks fun. He's made some garbage in his career, but his Garbage Lad movies have always been great.
  8. Cybertruck makers watching this video (if they care, which they probably don't):
  9. That block from Mitchell at the end was sick.
  10. The last couple of weeks, I watched a couple of my favorite 90's movies I had not seen in awhile. Se7en - I always loved this movie, as dark as it is. It is the first movie I remember seeing and thinking, "Oh shit, you can do this in movies and make it entertaining?" It still feels like it could be set today, which is kind of crazy since it was made almost 30 years ago. Impressive to make something like that feel so timeless. This time, what struck me was how incredible Gwyneth was. She really has two scenes (other than when her head was in a box), but she is incredibly charming in the apartment scene and then devastating in the diner scene. Outside of the occasional ski-related court case, she seems to be thriving, so good for her, but it would be awesome if she had a late career revival doing something interesting. LA Confidential - I saw this was on Netflix, so I popped it on. From when I saw it in 1997, it was always one of my favorite movies and it still rules. Immaculately made across the board; acting, directing, writing, music, production design. An incredible movie. Honestly, I think the weakest part of the movie is Basinger and she is the one who won the Oscar. Oscars can be weird. It was up for Best Picture against Titanic, Full Monty and Good Will Hunting. Great year. Unfortunately, the Netflix transfer is kind of shit and I don't think it's big enough of a movie to get that fixed.
  11. I said this elsewhere but on Beef, I don’t think I’ve ever felt more strongly about the phrase “This should have been a movie”. Just way too long with people doing stupid shit to keep it going. I realized last night that the Bear season getting recognized was season 1. It’ll clean up again next Emmy’s. Sucks that Saul was basically shut out. I was really hoping Rhea Seahorn would get her due.
  12. Depends, are you on a Boeing?
  13. Proposal to change the banner of this site to “our posters are penis cancer in human form”. Really enjoyed it. Felt very much like an Altman or Bogdanovich 70’s movie. Wonderfully sad and joyous throughout.
  14. Blue Eyed Samurai is a new addition to this list. Also, Man on Fire is dope. Not super well received at the time but extremely rewatchable
  15. “Meet Me In The Bathroom”? Really fun book. I’m with you guys on Adams. I have all of his albums up until the allegations and then a bunch of bootleg stuff I collected over the years. Listened to him all of the time. Easily my favorite artist but have listened to very little of him since, mostly Whiskeytown era. I guess I try to justify that as being before he was a total asshole. He always just seemed like kind of a dick but mainly just a damaged guy. When you add being predatory to people like Pheobe Bridgers and abusive to his own wife (among other things), I’m out.
  16. I kind of feel like this one is on you and your fellow students.
  17. Got to the theater today to see this. Other than the Von Erich name, I knew nothing about them before and have avoided reading anything once I saw that the movie was well received and I wanted to see it. What a downer. I thought it was a good movie, but just a tough story. It seemed driven by the father's failures and it sucks that he took it out on his kids. Fucking Uncle Rico over there. Not something I'm going to fire up in the future, but glad I saw it. Mitch's spoiler worked for me, but I can definitely see a counter argument. I groaned when it started, but they made it work IMO. The cast was real good overall: - Efron was real good. Didn't know he had it in him. Hope he keeps down this path in the future and now that he showed he can do it, I hope he can keep getting offers. - I like Jeremy Allen White, but he seemed a bit miscast. He didn't work for me. - Harris Dickinson is really interesting. I thought he was well cast and really great. I bought him as a wrestler and as a promoter in that world, which is impressive as a Brit. He was really good in See How They Run and Triangle of Sadness last year as well. I saw that his next role is as co-lead with Saorsie Ronan in the next Steve McQueen movie. He should be a star for a while. - Really glad to see Holt HcCallany get a good role. He's really good when given the chance and was a good mix of patriarch and asshole. Really good job by him. - The women were less drawn, but if you show me a man between 40 and 55 that doesn't love Maura Tierney, I'll show you a goddamn liar and I am 100% in the bag for Lily James. Always love to see them working.
  18. That photo of him takes about 100 pounds off his playing weight
  19. That ref on top is at least half a yard off every time. He’s awful.

This is true. We were walking to Domilise’s to get a po-boy in March and I randomly wandered into Sisters in Christ record store. I picked up some Euro bootleg recording of the Stone Temple Pilots MTV Unplugged. Sounds great and not something I have ever seen before. I told the guy I was in from out of town and he gave me a record shipment package so I could get it back safely in my luggage.
  21. There’s no way that’s true. Crazy that we would let our backup take backup reps.
