  1. Depends, are you on a Boeing?
  2. Proposal to change the banner of this site to “our posters are penis cancer in human form”. Really enjoyed it. Felt very much like an Altman or Bogdanovich 70’s movie. Wonderfully sad and joyous throughout.
  3. Blue Eyed Samurai is a new addition to this list. Also, Man on Fire is dope. Not super well received at the time but extremely rewatchable
  4. “Meet Me In The Bathroom”? Really fun book. I’m with you guys on Adams. I have all of his albums up until the allegations and then a bunch of bootleg stuff I collected over the years. Listened to him all of the time. Easily my favorite artist but have listened to very little of him since, mostly Whiskeytown era. I guess I try to justify that as being before he was a total asshole. He always just seemed like kind of a dick but mainly just a damaged guy. When you add being predatory to people like Pheobe Bridgers and abusive to his own wife (among other things), I’m out.
  5. Saw my first Cyber Truck in the wild today. Looks like a prank car.
  6. I kind of feel like this one is on you and your fellow students.
  7. Got to the theater today to see this. Other than the Von Erich name, I knew nothing about them before and have avoided reading anything once I saw that the movie was well received and I wanted to see it. What a downer. I thought it was a good movie, but just a tough story. It seemed driven by the father's failures and it sucks that he took it out on his kids. Fucking Uncle Rico over there. Not something I'm going to fire up in the future, but glad I saw it. Mitch's spoiler worked for me, but I can definitely see a counter argument. I groaned when it started, but they made it work IMO. The cast was real good overall: - Efron was real good. Didn't know he had it in him. Hope he keeps down this path in the future and now that he showed he can do it, I hope he can keep getting offers. - I like Jeremy Allen White, but he seemed a bit miscast. He didn't work for me. - Harris Dickinson is really interesting. I thought he was well cast and really great. I bought him as a wrestler and as a promoter in that world, which is impressive as a Brit. He was really good in See How They Run and Triangle of Sadness last year as well. I saw that his next role is as co-lead with Saorsie Ronan in the next Steve McQueen movie. He should be a star for a while. - Really glad to see Holt HcCallany get a good role. He's really good when given the chance and was a good mix of patriarch and asshole. Really good job by him. - The women were less drawn, but if you show me a man between 40 and 55 that doesn't love Maura Tierney, I'll show you a goddamn liar and I am 100% in the bag for Lily James. Always love to see them working.
  8. That photo of him takes about 100 pounds off his playing weight
  9. That ref on top is at least half a yard off every time. He’s awful.

This is true. We were walking to Domilise’s to get a po-boy in March and I randomly wandered into Sisters in Christ record store. I picked up some Euro bootleg recording of the Stone Temple Pilots MTV Unplugged. Sounds great and not something I have ever seen before. I told the guy I was in from out of town and he gave me a record shipment package so I could get it back safely in my luggage.
  11. There’s no way that’s true. Crazy that we would let our backup take backup reps.
  12. After all of the coverage for Pop-Tarts the last couple of days, I really hope they gave the person in the suit a bonus. They were doing work.
  13. Just tried this and it is 20% up to $25. Not going to get you very far on tickets. Every bit helps, but not a huge savings..
  14. I think they were getting like $1M per episode towards the end and there 20+ episodes per season, so that’s some nice quick money. Then the residuals must be nice. That show is on all the fucking time. I think those stars (along with Modern Family) got through the big money gate before it closed for network comedies. I doubt he ever has to work again. On JLD, my understanding is that her father was pretty much absent and she doesn’t have much of that fortune coming her way. She’s just the best female comedic actor in history (fight me). Her salary at the end of Seinfeld was $1M per episode as well and that was 25 years ago. Plus the residuals have to be real nice. As has been said, she is also super frugal. They’ve been in the same house for years and it’s just in a normal looking neighborhood (based on her Comedians in Cars… episode). She can do whatever she wants these days.
  15. On that terrible AT&T plane ad, the flight attendant offers them head phones (for a price, LOL, get it?). Lily responds that she’ll just use her iPhone. She doesn’t appear to have headphones. Is this insinuating that she is going to watch something on her phone without headphones like a sociopath?
  16. Yep. I do find it amusing that the two richest people in that movie are the kid and the woman neighbor.
  17. Irrelevant, as it would go against his fucked up worldview.
  18. Yeah, I saw that on Nick. Super sad. John still has that air of an asshole, but he actually seems to be grounded and doing good works, so good on him. Probably my favorite change was 21 Up pissed off at the world Suzy to 28 Up happily married with kids Suzy. So funny.
  19. I need to watch the finale. For some reason, I never made it appointment viewing, but I always enjoyed it when I caught it. I guess I just took it for granted. Saw some incredible stories on there. The change it had on the abuses of children camel racing in the Middle East was amazing.
  20. FYI, this has begun. Give it a listen.
  21. Fuck yeah, that song rules. On multiple playlists I have made over the years. That video is wild.
  22. For me, this is the greatest accomplishment in cinema history. Just an incredible look at how people grow (or don’t grow) over their lives. So interesting. Nick is my guy. I think they’ll keep it going as long as they can. It seems insane not to at this point.
