  1. Hegar is way back in the polls, but every one I have seen has HUGE undecided numbers. There is a chance to close the gap with those undecideds. Id be shocked if she catches him but she could make it interesting. Particularly if Trump keeps bleeding out in Texas.
  2. New Margo Price coming out tomorrow. I've liked the early released songs, especially "Twinkle Twinkle"
  3. How many "Christians" watch this and nod their heads?
  4. This whole line of "They hate America" because you disagree with their politics is so damaging and disgusting. Fuck these people
  5. The arena thing is really interesting and makes a ton of sense. I was thinking that DKR would be a great spot for voting as well, particularly if the virus is still raging. The virus seems to not transmit as much outdoors, so holding voting at least in the concourses (if not the field) would be a great option. Unfortunately, I imagine it would be shot down since it's a state university and in a state run by the people who want as little voting as possible.
  6. Hey man, I live at 2222 and Mopac. My rep is Michael McCaul, whose district takes a sliver of central Austin, then fans out east to catch La Grange, Brenham, etc and goes all the way to Katy. How is someone supposed to serve the interests of Central Austin AND the good people of Columbus, TX.? Not a whole lot of overlap there.
  7. I know it's been said, but it's insane that "wear a piece of cloth over your face to save other people's lives" has become a wedge issue.
  8. I know nothing about Lil Dicky, but I heard enough good stuff about the show that I gave it a shot on Friday. Finished it last night. Really enjoyed it. A lot of the best stuff was already mentioned. I also loved the Todd Dillason/Ty Dolla $ign confusion with Mike. Killed me. I know that it wasn't the funniest episode, but the bookending of the song in Episode 9 was unbelievably good. It's a dumb show, but shows a lot of heart.
  9. Since he leverages his service as such a large part of his persona, I decided to check his Twitter to see his reaction to the Russian bounty news. Sports fans, it will not surprise you that there has been no reaction. Just more "COVID is not a big deal" bullshit.
  10. This is 100% the right way to play this. Make it clear that Trump is simply not doing the job America asked him to do.
  11. Get rid of all statues. They're fucking stupid and pointless.
  12. Big "recently divorced dad" energy.
  13. I love singing it at the end of games with a full stadium, but I don't feel I have a right to something that brings me joy, if in the balance it causes someone else pain. If it causes pain for the players, get rid of it.
  14. So close: Ainsley Earhardt
  15. I think it's important to watch the Undecided. That was a big pool of people in 2016 up until the election and that pool is much smaller now. Trump has shown who he is and people know Biden. If the Undecideds keep shrinking and Biden continues his 7-8 point lead, it's going to be a bloodbath for R's.
  16. Can't remember if I came across this here or somewhere else, so SIAP, but definitely worth the read: History Will Judge the Complicit I voted R every time until 2016. It is clear that I was sold a bill of goods and I hope everyone that supports this president is voted out.
  17. Watched Hannah Gadsbey: Douglas last night with the wife and really enjoyed it. There is a bit about a box that had us in tears. It's not not as deep and thoughtful as Nanette, but probably funnier.
  18. Jesus. Imagine spending half a million to sit with this sack of shit.
  19. I've been getting more into different cocktails during the quarantine (I used to drink almost exclusively Vieux Carre's). The one ingredient that seems impossible to come by is Amer Picon. From what I can tell, it's not sold in the US at this point. Any of you degenerates come across this problem? Is there an Amer Picon replacement that works well?
  20. I wasn't a big fan of Fleabag Season 1. Season 2 is a masterpiece.
  21. If normally 100 people die in any given March, 200 die in March 2020 and you report 50 COVID deaths, that probably means you're undercounting. Significantly. This is happening in multiple studies I have seen and what EskimoHorn pointed out in NYC and 7 other states.
  22. Maybe I missed this, but Amanda Shires has done a show on her Youtube channel every night for the last few weeks (I think 5pm CST). Isbell joins her on some of them as well.
