  1. Oh it's only this long because of "that bullshit"? Not because there are a pack of zealots that rush in to defend every post that dares to be critical? That's rich.
  2. Do you think that I did that on accident? This thread doesn't need more wrought over analysis of individual plays at this point, so I am not going to contribute to that. You and I both know there were more than 1, which isn't even the point. Quinn is fine. He can occasionally reach good, but I am in no way confident that he'll reach that when we really need it. One of us will be proven wrong and one of us will be proven right. I'm fine waiting for that moment.
  3. I'm responding to a statement that I disagreed with. Sorry if that rankled you, Mr. extremely high level operator man. But hey, way to pluck one sentence out of a reply and make a huge fucking deal about it. You managed to completely avoid the macro point.
  4. Almost all of his usual issues were on display and all of those have been beaten to death on this thread already. There was some good and some bad. The good outweighed the bad. But there was more than one mistake, and that's just you being hyperbolic in an attempt to avoid having any sort of nuanced conversation on the topic. Likely because everyone here is pretty much done with re-hashing what he does well and what he doesn't.
  5. You're taking an output (slow 2nd halves) and then building a false narrative that Sark is intentionally managing the inputs such that he's getting the output he wants. I fucking promise you he's not. There is not an offensive minded coach on the planet that loves seeing his offense bog down and allow teams to get back in games in the 2nd half.
  6. Why? Because you say so and you have more internet points than me? I don't give two shits. Ewers played "fine", which has emerged as his ceiling. It was good enough today and it'll almost certainly be good enough against ASU. We will need more than "fine" to win the semi-final game, regardless of the opponent. Hopefully we get it, but he's struggled to exceed "fine" for much of the year after returning from injury.
  7. Very very true. But that doesn't explain the 2nd half doldrums that have been there for most of the year. It's much more than a 1 game issue.
  8. Second half is clearly the issue. And I don't think that's purely a Quinn issue. It's much more likely a Sark issue. He needs to give up game day play calling for us to reach our potential. That's not happening this year, if ever.
  9. You're welcome to comb through all of them if you want, but you aren't going to find a single one. I avoid those things like the plague.
  10. Where did I say I wasn't happy we won? People love to conflate being dissatisfied with an aspect of the game with being dissatisfied with the outcome of the game. Too bad it doesn't work that way.
  11. From the number one overall recruit in the country to a game manager. Can't say that I saw his career turning out like this, but here we are.
  12. Sark is cooking as a HC, but the guy simply has to let go of game day play calling for this program to reach its true potential. The 4th down calls tonight were absolutely awful, minus the crossing pass that Quinn just missed. I can't think of a game this year where we have been in rhythm in the 2nd half and I am convinced it's because he doesn't have the bandwidth or the right view of what the Defense is doing from the sideline. Let Sark write the opening game script but then he needs to step back. This program needs someone up in the coaches box calling the plays based on what they are seeing from the D.
  13. Third quarter Quinn is back. 4/8 for 45 yards and another empty trip to the red zone.
  14. Sazerac indeed owns Barton and Buffalo Trace, but I don't think BT is distilling 1792 unless I am just completely out of the loop. The Barton distillery still runs independently out of Bardstown, which is a good couple of hours away from Frankfort where the BT distillery operates.
  15. You defending this throw is so on brand and completely unsurprising. Quinn can see the whole field while the WR has his back turned, but CLEARLY it's the WR's fault he didn't find the ball in time. Give me a fucking break. You said someone needs to make a play, but apparently Quinn gets a pass here. The fact is that Quinn made that play so much harder on Moore than it needed to be. There was so much open field towards the back pylon and there was no help coming. It should have been 6 and the reason it wasn't is because of a poorly placed throw. End of story.
  16. There are a ton of QB needy P4 teams and I'd be stunned if most or all of them didn't reach out to the Ewers camp to see if there is a number that would keep him from declaring. But, I think he'd have to wait for the Spring portal window unless we flame out of the CFP early.
  17. What exactly does it matter where he ranks in the all time list anyway? Even if you want to caveat it and talk about the modern era, Quinn is third at best and he's not even in the same neighborhood as Colt. He's good. He just hasn't been good enough. Ehlinger was good. Simms was good. James Brown was good. Major was good. But none of them were good enough. Same as Quinn.
  18. I don't give a shit about the shoulder nearly as much as I care about the accuracy of the ball. Receivers can adjust to catch over either shoulder if the timing and trajectory are right. But when the accuracy is that far off it doesn't make a shit. Both throws were highly inaccurate such that the the shoulder didn't matter. Both throws needed to be thrown more up the field, and Quinn came up short both times. Are you ever going to post the throw in OT or are you just going to keep posting shitty takes?
  19. It's super easy for you to tell me that I don't know what I'm looking at but that doesn't make it true. Literally nobody on here has said they agree with basically anything you are saying about these throws. You're not some well schooled student of the game. You're just a stan.
  20. Quinn is not "easily" top 3. No fucking way anyone is putting him ahead of the VY, Colt, Street trio. And Bobby Layne was certainly better if you adjust for the era, but those comparisons get pretty tricky given how different the game looks now. But to say that Quinn is appreciably better than the Ehlinger, Major, Simms tier is just wish casting. He has some physical traits that are better, but he's also been surrounded by some pretty elite talent (and two stout defenses) these last couple of years.
  21. Your idiocy knows no bounds. Both throws were wildly inaccurate such that the shoulder he threw to was completely irrelevant. He was short and wide on both and Moore couldn't get so much as a finger on either one.
  22. Good franchises won't reach for a round 5 talent in round 3 just because the draft class is thin. That said, there are plenty of dumb GM's out there that might end up doing it.
  23. I could see some QB desperate P4 team throw a stupid amount of money at Quinn to portal and use his last year of eligibility. If his draft grade is day 3, he might be smart to take it.
  24. I'm guessing 5th round. His tape isn't impressive, and his injury history and shitty mechanics are going to end up scaring teams.
  25. I'll wait here until you post it, but I'm guessing you're too busy eating Quinn's ass to actually do that.
