  1. Been exposed a few times, haven't had it yet (two original shots no booster). Daughter just got it for the second time in 6 months, I will see how my invincibility holds up. the first she time had it was just mild fever, and tired, same symptoms again. Only took her four days back at school to catch it.
  2. Sorry for the late update on this I was traveling for work. Thursday I felt like crap, home test negative, Friday chills and extremely tired, home test negative. Saturday felt great swabbed the nose, tested negative and been fine since. Guess it is possible I had a flu bug while the young one had covid. Daughter had a fever 100-101 and head/ear aches for 8 days no loss of taste/smell or cough. Tested negative and went back to school on the 12th. Wife made it through with out catching it.
  3. Had my 11 year old daughter scheduled for first shot next Saturday. Tuesday she had a low fever 99.6 and complained of a headache. She has displayed no other symptoms other then an ear ache so we took her to the Doctor yesterday. They didn't think it was an ear or sinus infection and claimed they have seen Covid cases in kids with these symptoms, so they swabbed her brain. Found out this afternoon she is positive. I woke up today feeling like shit with a headache, sore throat and slight cough. Had both Moderna shots back in April/May. Just took the home test and it was negative, but I will probably go get the swab tomorrow. So far the Wife showing no symptoms.(she was 2X Pfizer in April)
  4. I told my buddy last night to buy them. We will be driving down from PA, map quest says 11hr drive. I am assuming hotels will fill up quickly and we should make reservations ASAP. How far away do they jack the prices up for room? We could get one further north since that is the direction we would be heading back. Thanks for any help
  5. Found out last night my golf partner knows some one who got drawn for Monday ( two tickets). That guy and wife can't go and offered them to us for $200 each. Reading through this thread it looks like Monday practice would be good to see. My buddy is concerned about not being able to use them at the gate. He saw lots of topics on the web about the masters cracking down on 3rd party sellers. And the fact the lotto says DO NOT apply for family and friends and the tickets are for winners only. After reading through this thread I assume we would be fine using those tickets.
  6. Sixteen years is amazing. Biscuit gave you a great friend, you gave him a great home and life. Rest easy pup.
  7. Two tests, contacted traced after close contact with people that caught. Negative both times.
  8. This is what I was wondering, I was exposed twice (close contact with someone who had tested positive) back in November. Both times tested negative, but then I developed a terrible cough and headaches for 3 weeks. Tested negative again, Doc thought sinus infection, did 3 round of antibiotics, no help. Had sinus xrays chest xrays showed nothing. Then the cough suddenly went away. My first Moderna shot sucked, cold symptoms immediately, chills body aches fever at 24hrs felt drained for a week. Got second shot Wednesday and no symptoms at all, just sore arm. I was really concerned about getting the second after how bad the first one was.
  9. The first Moderna gave me similar symptoms, couldn't sleep, body aches, chills etc. It hit me hard 24hrs after the shot, and lasted roughly 48 hours. I just got my 2nd Moderna three hours ago, so far so good but thinking I may need to take tomorrow off work.
  10. Got the first shot of Moderna yesterday up here in PA. It was a total surprise since it has been a cluster fuck on shot distribution. I was on the waiting list call, for any cancelations for months. Recently, even though they had over 6,000 olds on their waiting list (1A). Our hospital decided to vaccinate all the large manufacturing in the area. After severe back lash, they were no longer putting any one on the waiting list and you needed a DR prescription to get you on that list. Well yesterday morning got a text saying there was a cancellation at 10:30 and if I wanted it to schedule. I am 51 with pre existing heart condition and slightly fat so I took it. Woke up around midnight with severe pain at injection site and sore upper arm/shoulder. Now 24hrs later have pain in all my muscle groups in left arm, with cold like symptoms of runny nose, cough and headache. Makes me wonder what round two will be like, but glad I got it.
  11. So sorry for your loss, such tragic news. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.
  12. In my little neck of the woods in PA, three weeks ago we had a nursing home have twenty some cases. The odd thing about it was, none of the positives were the residents, they were all nurses and workers. They put out notices and contact traced them, and shut down several businesses in the area. All of them had no symptoms so they retested them last week, everyone was negative.
  13. Just found this thread and spent an hour catching up. This made me chuckle, as I Live in PA and you hit it perfectly. I think I am one of the few that go to the beer distributor and do not get an "adult slushie". Every time the cashier asks me you want a slushie with that beer order. And when I decline they look at me weird. I have been told the margarita slushies at 12% alcohol are the only ones to get. Perhaps I will try one tonight for you, adventurer Wulaw! Keep up the good work.
  14. When we got Lucy as a pup my previous Britt Brandy was around 13 years old. Brandy pretty much just ignored the pup, I think I only have one photo of them actually playing with a chew toy together. She tolerated the pup, would share beds and food, but was not at all interested in play time and would crawl on my lap to avoid the little one. I don't think it caused any undue stress to her, she was just to old to keep up.
  15. We lost our Brit Lucy, in December. Healthy 11 year old, came home from dinner with the family, and she was laying in the middle of the floor awake but unable to move. Raced her to the late night emergency vet 45 miles away, to find out she had some sort of internal cancer and a tumor burst and she was bleeding out, nothing they could do. So awful, 10 year old daughter was struck hard at losing her only pet, but also seeing her dad cry for the first time. We waited until February and the hole was to big, so we now have 14 week old brit Anna Belle galloping around the house. By far the best thing we could have done for us, especially in these pandemic times. Good Luck, and others say, you will know when the time is right for another.
  16. Not sure if this has been posted on here or not but I will give the warning on Orbit Sugarless Gum. My 11 yr old Brittany Spaniel Lucy, got in my daughters purse and ate a pack of Orbit sugarless gum. I didn't think anything of it until I looked it up on line. Any sugarless food containing Xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs. I called my Vet and took her immediately, She spent two days at the vet and will be on meds for a month. The vet said I was extremely lucky that I looked it up and called, Xylitol is very hard on a dogs liver. She also gave me the warning that she has seen many dogs with liver failure after their owners gave them peanut butter, unaware that some contain Xylitol. Lucy is on the mend and her blood levels are back to normal.
  17. Other then Madden and Mario Cart A lot of Military Madness on Turbo 16 And Space Hulk on the 3 DO plus some drinking twisted game on 3 DO
  18. Have not posted in awhile but I am still at. Just over 20 lbs lost and the first time I have been in the 180's (189.1) in probably fifteen years. Not dropping like I was, pretty much have leveled off to 0.5 to 1lb a week (some weeks 0). I am still drinking to much beer, but I don't mind the slow loss if I can have a few cold ones. I guess at my next level off I will need to slow down on the alcohol intake. Keep at it everyone and thanks for the motivation.
  19. Survived the long weekend with to much booze and food. Surprisingly I lost a half pound. Tuesday I went back to my regular diet routine and I am down three pounds today. Makes it fourteen pounds lost and 30 more to go. Keep up the good work guys.
  20. Well, 3 weeks ago you guys inspired me. I did not want to post until I was sure I would stick with it. I really needed to lose 40-50 lbs but continually put it off. I did not go full blown into the keto diet but eliminated all bread, pasta and soda. Down 10lbs as of this morning. I think 3lbs a week is a good starting point, Just need to cut back a little more beer on golf league nights. Thanks for the inspiration.
  21. I had the same thing a few months ago. Dr. suggested I get tested for carpal tunnel syndrome, and I ended up having it in both hands. I had surgery on both hands June 11th, the first five days sucked and I was pretty much useless. However, the numbness at night went away immediately. Seven days later I was chipping and putting, two weeks later I was back golfing. The hands are still mildly sore and I have not regained all of my strength back but it was well worth the relief.
  22. The same. Took a break for a few months and came back to that cluster. Glad to see it survives and to find surly horns.
