  1. Yep, that's about right. We've expected little-to-no chance they make it to campus for a while. Otherwise, Cozart has had an amazing summer, though it seems like he's destined for campus. However, I wouldn't be shocked if he ended up being drafted and went. There hasn't been much talk of that, so maybe he wants too big of a signing bonus for teams to really consider him. If this were 10 years ago, no chance he ends up in Austin. But, times sure have changed in regards to HS pitching prospects and the draft.
  2. Hey, those are Mack’s specialty! Also appears to be a good kid from a good family…
  3. Looks like Calicut might be "staying home," after all. Albeit, through a different type of commitment. Also, looks like Texas dodged a bullet here...
  4. FCB with a picture of Ethan Walker in that article. Dumbass.
  5. Well then, I have excellent news for you. We have two (Duru and Traore) on this roster. 100%. This is a great pick up. Who knows what he'll contribute, but he'll be much farther along in terms of development and poise than most true freshmen. Pope, Mark, and Wilcher all have good experience playing the point. Otherwise, half the roster is looking like they'll play 1-3. Pending injuries, there should be more than enough depth at all positions.
  6. Well, one thing this team won't be is short.
  7. We have some pretty talented pitchers coming in, so it’s decently likely some will meaningfully contribute by season end. I’m not sure who the three will be, but I’ll be shocked if Cozart isn’t one of them.
  8. So, it's entirely possible we could play them four times again this season. Wild.
  9. Now include Harrison, Riojas, and Saunier. They're likely all back.
  10. This is probably a stupid question, but I'm curious: what about families who own in Texas, move OOS but keep their property in Texas as a rental, and then the kid graduates from said OOS high school and wants to attend Texas?
  11. Yep. That's the first real development and depth loss of this portal cycle.
  12. Yep, I agree. My thought was neither Moffett nor Navarre would make it past the portal close without leaving, and one of those has already happened. Edit: Lol, welp...
  13. Yep. I’d imagine so. Much easier to move around a position player than get stuck without extra pitchers of a certain type.
  14. I’m assuming it’s another pitcher. Still some dead weight there. Or, maybe Jayden wants a starting spot somewhere else.
  15. Not the least bit surprising.
  16. Don’t show this to Angel.
  17. Anyone have more context to this? The video cuts off abruptly. I know he was a consensus AA, among other awards, but are they intimating that he's getting his number retired already? 18. Current draft player ratings: https://www.teamcrafters.net/players/CFB26/726?version=4 Current team ratings: A&M, Tech, and IU have some pretty generous ratings, it would appear.
  19. Even if we don't sign an elite prospect at RB, WR, TE, CB, or S in this class (which I can't imagine will be the case come signing day), guess which positions are the easiest to come by with top talent in the portal... It will never be a bad thing to build around top QB, OL, and DL talent in high school recruiting. Some of y'all are acting like you want to go back to the Mensa Tom era where damn near all of our top-10 recruits were RB, WR, CB, or S. And again, I have every bit of faith that we won't be outbid often come December for guys this staff determine are must haves.
  20. You can with 26's version.
  21. ¿Por qué no los dos? Championships are pleasurable, after all.
