  1. Well, they should recruit more sports heroes too! I'd be willing to allocate my taxes to service academy NIL haha.
  2. Welp, the Navy defense is playing really slow and can't get any semblance of a pass rush against a poor OL. I overestimated their ability here.
  3. This article gives context for those who want practical examples of what might happen. It's in line with your hypothesis and what we're already seeing with the progression away from "one-and-done" stacking, as well as guys transferring two to three times for NIL and development/PT/exposure reasons. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/43107847/baseball-2024-junior-college-eligbility-ruling-diego-pavia-mlb-draft-shake-up
  4. This makes much more sense than that model. Still, I think given everything, Navy should be favored. Who knows, though - bowl games tend to drive weird outcomes.
  5. Yeah, I'm not sure why Navy loses this game - Navy giving up over 10 seems like an erroneous assumption. OU is very depleted and Navy will be well prepared and excited to play.
  6. Was going off of ESPN. It must be wrong.
  7. You posted high school highlights of Blue?... Skattebo can also pass block and has zero fumbles his entire college career. He's a legit player. He would absolutely take PT from our entire healthy RB roster. Nonetheless, I won't post further to clog up the discussion.
  8. Auburn should be pretty salty next season. Poor Aggy.
  9. The suffix -esque means “like” or “resembling.” It's not a 1:1 comparison, man. I guess I should have said Bijan-lite or some shit like that. Many of his highlights are similar against similar competition. But he's obviously not the same caliber player.
  10. I can agree with all of that.
  11. Again, I'm not saying he's Bijan. Bijan is a one in every 10 years kind of back. I'm also not afraid of playing this guy, especially since Texas should dominate the LOS.
  12. I'm not talking about Gibson. I'm talking our current stable of healthy RBs. Bijan-esque doesn't mean he's Bijan - he's not Bijan. It means some of his highlights resemble Bijan's. There are numerous games where he has multiple highlights of him breaking three or four tackles while cutting back across the field like Bijan did. The bulk of Bijan's same highlights came against the same level of Big12 talent Skattebo's have. He's a really good RB. This isn't Toby Gerhart.
  13. Agree to disagree. I'm not worried like some posters here, but Skattebo has elite balance and breaks all forms of tackles, has plenty of speed, and catches the ball just about as good as any RB in college football. He is very shifty in the backfield, as well. Watch his tape again. Just because he's a bigger, white RB doesn't mean he doesn't have some elite traits. He's Bijan-esque on many of his highlights. He'd be RB1 at Texas this season. That being said, I think a lot of that will be neutralized when Texas dominates at the LOS and Skattebo has no running lanes.
  14. 100%. He’s worth breaking the bank for.
  15. Seriously. Stfu about politics here.
  16. Given who you may have been with today, I’m assuming it’s that a certain WR is healthy enough to play to his ability on Saturday.
  17. Joel Klatt has stated the same about a lack of variation of velocity on Quinn’s throws (the arm talent argument) as well as Quinn doesn’t typically throw receivers open. He just said both again during his preview of the Clemson/Texas game. Linked here at the relevant portion of the video:
  18. Wow. There is a real chance OU finishes 3-9 or 4-8 next season.
  19. I get that UGA is UGA. They have the best front seven by a large margin when they decide to play like it. However, both Campbell and Conner are often rather pedestrian and inconsistent irrespective of the opponent. It shows up in many ways: false starts, holding calls, whiffed blocks in pass pro, pulling and missing their assignment, blocking no one, missed check offs in pass pro when there is a stunt/slant/delayed blitzer into a gap, etc. Yeah, I wasn't meaning to call out this play specifically. It was a question and observation based on the entire thread.
  20. Conner is so bad that it really leaves me questioning how he is the best option at this point? It is purely because there isn't anyone better? Are Sark and company rewarding "experience?" Are the options behind him so far behind in technique that their physical upside isn't worth it? Something else? There is no way he is more athletic/physically talented than some of the options behind him. With how well we have supposedly recruited and developed the OL, I'm left wondering what reality even is in terms of OL development outside of our OTs. The interior OL has had issues for multiple seasons, even against lesser competition.
  21. Proceeds to use Texas results from previous staffs and many years ago to make their point... Have fun being poor and watching your vaunted coach not use NIL nor the portal well.
  22. Remove the second reference to Klubnik there and... Nonetheless, I agree that Texas should win this game going away.
  23. Scholarships are renewed on an annual basis. Tough shit, dude. Sorry you weren't good enough, the staff was honest with you, and that allowed you to end up at a school where you would actually play.
  24. 4/5 on defense, at least one at every level of the defense, and 2/5 on the line of scrimmage. That's how you build a championship roster, right there. Lol. Especially when it's not a QB, TE, nor an OL.
  25. OU is absolutely fucked. Fasusi better ask out of his NLI.
