  1. Shit. Anyone else pucker up for a second there when Rori went down?
  2. Already four points over her season average, in just the first quarter!
  3. Party like it's 2007! Vols snap a 4-game losing streak to UConn, their first series win in 18 years.
  4. And I could not agree with you more. I'm just thinking through the alternatives to determine real from fake, and how to avoid penalizing the real deal. I'd imagine the solution is nuanced instead of flat standard across the board.
  5. It'll probably end up something akin to targeting where there is some sort of subjective referee judgment or review process.
  6. Make them fully punched Cabo Bob's punch cards, and I'm in.
  7. Aw, shit. Recruiting players above board is going to give us a bad reputation. Just awful stuff there. What a worthless freshman he must be since he didn't beat out two experienced OTs that are going to get drafted in the first two rounds in May.
  8. I present to you, “Exhibit 1” haha
  9. Yeah, I meant in the second half. Should have specified.
  10. Your wish is my command, JJ. However, I will ask you this: who’s your pick for Terry’s successor?
  11. One does not simply beat Maryland… for a recruit, or in a game (or two).
  12. I don’t think CDC handled it poorly either - I just don’t think he had to hire Terry. Had he hired Mark Few, who purportedly had interest, no one worth a damn in this industry bats an eye. There’s no “my hands are tied” if a legitimate top-10 coach in college basketball wants to come to your school in lieu of a guy who would never be considered for an interview under normal circumstances. Anyways, here’s to hoping this shitshow is sorted out soon. Go on a run and make the tournament, or please make it super apparent you need to be fired, RT.
  13. We can’t assume Arkansas fans actually understand statistical analysis, let alone overfitting data to make a novel finding.
  14. Yeah, that ranking list is not what it appears. Arkansas and Rhode Island are not the top states people are moving to in terms of actual numbers
  15. If you would have told me we’d have a 3:1 FT attempt ratio in the second half (as of when I’m writing this), I’d have predicted we’d win by at least 10. WTF.
  16. Agreed. Texas probably loses this game by a couple of possessions when they could have easily won if they had any of this current intensity and offensive focus for one or two more of the first 32 minutes.
  17. We are so poorly situationally coached/prepared.
  18. Down nine. May want to turn it back on.
  19. Still blows my fucking mind that this staff went into the season with Onyema as our second big (especially with how often Shedrick is injured). Onyema is a mockery of a P4 post rotational player and borderline unplayable at times.
  20. Makes complete sense given there is almost no identifiable or consistent offense gameplan other than jack up random shots and play hero ball.
  21. I either want Texas to be firmly in the tournament, or miss entirely. I want there to be no ambiguity around RT’s job security. I agree with you, though. Getting run off their home court at a pivotal point in the season may start a slide they just can’t overcome as it relates to their tourney hopes. This is certainly more likely if Shedrick misses any extended time with this injury. Regardless, I don’t see RT losing his job after only his full second season if his makes the tournament. Nevertheless, I have no faith in his long-term viability at Texas.
  22. He’s not getting fired mid season.
  23. https://texags.com/forums/34/topics/3526052/1 So, let me rehash this for everyone here... This dude pleas down a bunch of charges (see above) to a 14-year sentence (for now what is attempted capital murder) after he (allegedly) strangled his ex-wife and threatened to kill her if she called the police (among other things) in front of their two-year-old son. Ex-wife now has a lifetime restraining order on him. Then, on the morning he is set to go to jail, he gets married at the courthouse at 7am to an attractive elementary school teacher with three kids of her own; ostensibly so they can have conjugal visits. https://www.facebook.com/DavidnAshleyHamilton Oh, and of course, they both maintain the ex-wife (victim) is the crazy one in this whole situation. WTF is wrong with these people?! Also, check out this troll job by someone in her engagement announcement...
  24. He suffered a fractured L clavicle (collarbone) on October 25. Unless there are atypical complications with the healing or rehab processes, it should take an otherwise healthy adult 12 weeks (at most) to fully recover and be cleared for contact sports. If he had surgery shortly after, we're at that 12-week point. However, Blake Munroe said this on 1/23: Schloss added this on 1/24: https://x.com/CJVogel_OTF/status/1882865557604880584 Sounds like he just wasn't ready to throw/hit yet, given he's left handed (throwing and batting). It's been almost two weeks since those updates. I'd wager he's there or close. There shouldn't be any reason he couldn't contribute as a pinch runner, relief pitcher/OF later in the season - especially midweek games. He certainly should be a full participant in fall camp for football.
  25. 3-of-5 with a long of 58 as a freshman last year at USF.
