  1. I have. I’m aware that’s where the incorrect idiom’s made up definition comes from.
  2. Cross-posting from another thread for conversation - I decided to go down a historical rabbit hole: Sorting by title percentage, LSU's rate is impressive for a team that's been there 19 times For teams that are still annually relevant, Vanderbilt and Oregon State have very good title rates, but their overall appearances aren't very high At least we're not aggy (see very bottom), or FSU, for that matter Thank God college baseball is back! Let's go get number 7! Note: not every team with a CWS appearance is listed, but all with a title are. Teams at the very bottom have the most appearances without a title (in descending order)
  3. Yes, that's what we're saying. This tournament is in Arlington, which does have heat.

  5. It’s also kind of amazing to me that we have three coaches on that list and don’t have the most/closer to the most titles. LSU just wins more often when they get there than we historically have. USC also fits the narrative, but they do shit anymore.
  6. Makes no sense to me either. Maybe the number of attractive jobs set to open we don’t want to compete with?
  7. Definitely true. It’s interesting that ESPN has Texas favored. I guess due to injuries for Kentucky and it being played in Austin. I’m not sure I agree, but analytics can’t really account for the eye test.
  8. And continues to be. What a player she is.
  9. TBD. They’ll pursue another big via the portal though. There shouldn’t be any issue landing one with all the positive press Vic is getting due to Oldacre’s development. If the pairing ends up being anything like Jones and Oldacre this season, this team will be even better next year.
  10. Was that a 22-10 quarter? I got up for five minutes and came back to a rout!
  11. Nice offensive looks by Preston now
  12. With Rori in foul trouble, our guards aren’t looking to score, especially the two freshman. Each have gotten into the lane multiple times and haven’t looked at the basket at all. Need Booker to take over some on offense to get more from the guards.
  13. Definitely not at all what I said, but I understand you're not solely responding to my post in your answer.
  14. I understand what I am about to say is not the general Surly-styled reaction; but can a poster not simultaneously have belief that Sark will make a good hire AND also lament the fact that one of our best recruiters (one who holds immensely strategic ties to an area of the country we need to, and are, currently, recruiting well) is leaving? I also want to call out that I understand there is more to recruiting the southeast, specially metro Atlanta (the move to the SEC, NIL, winning, Texas' development and NFL draft placement trajectory, Sark's ties, Baker's ties, and more), than having TC on staff.
  15. That's fair. I'm with you there. But that's an entirely different point.
  16. Derka lauding Barnes' general ability to get the most out of his team during the regular season, play basketball with high IQ, and play tough defense, IS NOT the same thing as Derka saying we never should have let Barnes go, he needs to be rehired, etc. Don't read his posts on the subject if you don't want to, but also don't conflate his adoration for the man as him advocating for his rehire or something of the nature.
  17. While it’s a sign of a healthy program that coaches get promoted, there’s no other way to spin this: Choice leaving is a massive loss for national recruiting at the RB position, as well as recruiting in general in the southeast - especially metro Atlanta. Thankfully, Baker has ties there, but this one does hurt. My assumption is he (and his wife) want a lifestyle change given the young children - and that makes complete sense.
  18. I’m not disagreeing with anything you said; I would just love to know what your list is, especially given your ties.
  19. Lol. Solid work here.
  20. Yeah. That’s what I assume too.
  21. I wonder how long he’ll coach. 63 isn’t that old for a head coach, but I have no inside information regarding his desire or overall health. Regardless, I hope the man wins a title (as a HC) before he’s done. He’s one hell of a coach.
