  1. Especially with the cold temps. Don't want to risk anything early in the season.
  2. 100%. I said the same thing out loud when it ended up in the glove of the left fielder.
  3. Looks like Texas Baseball is the real trendsetter in the sport. Yankees are just followers of the true GOAT program.
  4. It’s pointless information given it’s not novel nor relevant to anything happening today/recently. I’m not saying threads can’t have purposeful discourse; but that post, imo, was not.
  5. I know he’s highly incentivized to be at Texas, but bumping a thread like this during the offseason to post a public stat we are already aware of is neg worthy given we’re on high alert for bad news (injury, arrest, etc.) this time of year.
  6. Yes, please. I’ll take watching Texas Baseball while I slog out trying to be productive on a Friday afternoon.
  7. https://english.kyodonews.net/news/2025/01/7790e08732c1-baseball-former-cy-young-winner-bauer-to-rejoin-baystars.html#:~:text=Former Cy Young Award winner, around %246 million%2C including incentives. “Former Cy Young Award winner Trevor Bauer will rejoin the DeNA BayStars for the 2025 Nippon Professional Baseball season, the club announced Monday. The 34-year-old right-hander, who played for the BayStars in 2023, has agreed to a one-year contract worth up to around $6 million, including incentives.”

  9. Recapping 2025 Offseason Coaching Additions (Thursday AM) CJ Vogel
  10. Obviously, a small sample size, but Max has been excellent to start the year. So has A-Rod, especially for a true freshman. If Spencer and Harrison turn into legit starters, this team has some promise. Dre continuing to get better and better each year would be an awesome thing too.
  11. Cross-posting this article since it was released for this game. FCB with some information on facial hair for Texas Baseball. Chip Shots: Texas baseball fans will take in new faces (and some facial hair) in home opener against Houston
  12. Also, SIAP, but here are highlights from games 2 and 3 of the Shriners Showdown. You may want to watch on mute, as it's just baseball themed music in both. Game 2 (Ole Miss): Game 3 (Oklahoma State):

  14. I’m not trying to CR this thread at all. Just thought the submission idea was hilarious:
  15. This is my main concern with this team. You must be even somewhat of a threat from the outside. Reminiscent of Iowa daring SCar to shoot it from outside a couple of years ago in the Final Four.
  16. I have. I’m aware that’s where the incorrect idiom’s made up definition comes from.
  17. Cross-posting from another thread for conversation - I decided to go down a historical rabbit hole: Sorting by title percentage, LSU's rate is impressive for a team that's been there 19 times For teams that are still annually relevant, Vanderbilt and Oregon State have very good title rates, but their overall appearances aren't very high At least we're not aggy (see very bottom), or FSU, for that matter Thank God college baseball is back! Let's go get number 7! Note: not every team with a CWS appearance is listed, but all with a title are. Teams at the very bottom have the most appearances without a title (in descending order)
  18. Yes, that's what we're saying. This tournament is in Arlington, which does have heat.

  20. It’s also kind of amazing to me that we have three coaches on that list and don’t have the most/closer to the most titles. LSU just wins more often when they get there than we historically have. USC also fits the narrative, but they do shit anymore.
  21. Makes no sense to me either. Maybe the number of attractive jobs set to open we don’t want to compete with?
  22. Definitely true. It’s interesting that ESPN has Texas favored. I guess due to injuries for Kentucky and it being played in Austin. I’m not sure I agree, but analytics can’t really account for the eye test.
