  1. It's probably Broughton or Collins as of now. However, neither of those fit the traditional description of the award. So, I guess it must be Juan Davis right now. However, 6 reception for 34 yards isn't lighting it up; but it's still an exponential increase in terms of his past production.
  2. Does Collins has enough of a statistically dearth past to qualify as the Gaskamp Award this season? I guess not - he wouldn't have "come from nowhere" as CTJ stated as a qualification.
  3. Nico may not play. UGA is already a 10-point favorite and will be at home. I don't see Tennessee winning this one is Nico is out. Texas, and fans of other SEC schools, should absolutely want IU to get blown out. They've played a really bad schedule and might get left out with a blowout loss to OSU. That is the easiest path for the SEC to get five in. Miami, ND, SMU, and Clemson losing another helps too. Hopefully Army beats ND and the ACC winner is a two-loss team; or a situation where no doubt that only one ACC team should get in at the end because the others have two-three losses. Yep. OSU is going to blow them out. I think it'll be way worse than 10-14 points. Day needs that after the past three seasons.
  4. Is this really relevant to Texas though? I know at one point Texas was recruiting Owusu-Boateng but it appears that ship sailed a long time ago. I doesn't seem like Texas is recruiting Wiley because they're missing on NO-B.
  5. Lots of smoke that Nico won’t play for Tennessee this weekend vs. UGA, despite what coach H has said:
  6. Hey, now, I didn't talk about any more players leaving... I only looked at the sample of those who had already departed. YOU conjured up the bad juju re: Kyla. In all seriousness, if Kyla somehow leaves, maybe we're on to something statistically significant haha.
  7. Lesson: Don't sign post players whose names end in an "a?"
  8. That’s probably more about Texas drawing viewership than it is about some redeeming quality of the schedule.
  9. Man, I want to know what you know. I’m sure it’ll all come out, eventually.
  10. 100%. Liucci was talking about how all of Auburn's losses have been close, so they're actually a good team.
  11. I guess I'm not sure what this was responding to. Texas and A&M both have much easier SEC schedules this season in comparison to many other top teams. I guess Tennessee does too. This is one of the downsides of a 16-team conference, especially one with only eight conference games - there's absolutely no scheduling parity. This year and next, it appears to highly benefit Texas and A&M. For everyone else, good thing the SEC will get four teams in the playoff.
  12. You kind of just answered that question though. 1. SEC teams play (and have played) only 8 conference games. 2. A&M's OOC schedule has pretty much been ass since they've joined the SEC. Those two factors bring down the SOS. As it pertains to this season, Texas' OOC schedule ending up being pretty poor in reality, whereas ND is ranked highly. We both have easy SEC schedules.
  13. To play devil's advocate, Texas does miss seven of the current top-nine teams in the SEC (Tenn, ourselves, Ole Miss, Alabama, Missouri, LSU, and SCarolina). We do have any easier conference schedule this season. However, A&M does too.
  14. Honestly, the calculated and laborious ascension to present day is mind blowing.
  15. That game was so strange. Texas scored 16 of their 22 points in the first quarter, and the score was 17-16 Hogs at half. The first half had a bunch of big offensive plays, whereas the second half was an entirely different game. Texas defense clamped the fuck down in the second half.
  16. Michigan still using Stallions for spy level shit, it seems. I love it (as long as they're not fucking with Texas).
  17. Where'd you see that? I haven't seen an official release - just individual voter ballots. The AP poll is supposed to drop at 2ET/1CT
  18. We’ve had such shitty games against them the last two times out, and Arkansas is 4-2 against Texas since 2000 even though Texas leads the series 56-23. I want nothing else than to absolutely crush them.
  19. What do you know? Seems like you know something based on that last line.
  20. OU: 5-5 (1-5), 13th of 16 OSU: 3-7 (0-7), 16th of 16 Life comes at you fast, Okies.
  21. The SEC getting five in has legs, especially if Indiana gets blown out by OSU. Would be nice for PSU to get upset by one of their remaining foes too.
  22. My concern is that if Texas loses to Arky or Kentucky, it’s a bad loss; whereas if we lose to A&M, Texas ends up with no ranked wins. There aren’t many scenarios where a two-loss Texas has a clearly better résumé than some other two-loss SEC teams. Nevertheless, Tennessee and UGA play, so UGA could drop to three losses. Also, Texas being ranked #3 on Tuesday will help from an anchoring standpoint. Even with another loss, Texas may not fall far unless it’s a really bad outcome. The issue will be if Texas has two losses and is tied with (and behind a one-loss team) four other teams (Tennessee/UGA, A&M, Ole Miss, and Bama). It’s gets murky, because all four arguably do have better wins than Texas. TL;DR: just fucking win out.
  23. There’s going to be a ton of soaking/marinating in Provo, tonight.
