  1. Yep. Greenspoint with another dumb take. LBJ was great last season. This year, not so much.
  2. Alright, offense. Keep up the recent pace. Need to make this guy look like his ERA.
  3. Flores should have made that play.
  4. Porter? What did Porter do other than catch a FO?
  5. LBJ with two walks already. BB, K, Stolen base, BB.
  6. I know in your position you don’t want to provide too much, but can you speak to timeline at all?
  7. I read that username as "FoolsFanatic." It was an apropos mistake.
  8. Cool extrapolation seven games into a 162-game season. You only have 95.67% of the schedule left. However, and I’m going to regret saying this, but they do look pretty good.
  9. I think there are two distinct and separate arguments being merged together here. 1. Women definitely get inappropriately classified when doing the many of the exact same things men get a pass for doing. 2. Kim Mulkey is a POS person. I’m sure she has fallen victim to some of 1 in her life, but that’s not the reason she is/is viewed as 2. Also, as far as Bobby Knight. The dude died and he was a legend of a coach. Legends are often treated much more kindly when they die. He didn’t have the same “fond” reputation or sentiment when he was alive - unless you were one of his.
  10. Again, I started this thread, but RT has earned the right to be Texas' coach at this point. Four tournament wins in two years is above the norm for Texas. Likewise, he's going to have to lose the job, which he has not done at this point. We can speculate on his credentials all we want, but he's going to have to underachieve enough to get fired. Again, this has not happened. @shadow_operative, we understand (and agree) that he would not have been hired under a normal coaching search, but that's a moot point. RT has his work cut out for him in 2024-2025. Let's see what happens. The true build starts now.
  11. Jake Majors is allowed to drive a Lambo on lease while being a football player at Texas? Holy fuck. FIFY.
  12. Not a retort to your assertion, but we'll find out when she accepts her $5million Big3 contract.
  13. While I understand what you're saying, we better hope Mukuba is more successful - because that means Texas is impacted more positively at the safety position. Mukuba has more upside than Taafe in probably every trait. So, I want his potential realized. If it is, that realized potential will generate very impactful production and Texas Football will be better for it. That being said, Taafe provides very good depth and leadership in the safety room.
  14. Yeah, unfortunately, scenarios from 1-3 to 4-0 are all real possibilities this week.
  15. This is the realistic ideal.
  16. 4-0 this week, or we riot. But seriously. Texas plays Abilene Christian (17-11, RPI 131) on Tuesday and BYU (11-14, 4-8, last place in the Big 12, RPI 134) Th/Fri/Sat - all at home. This is a conference series Texas absolutely needs to sweep. OU vs. OSU, KSU vs. UCF, and WVU vs KU this week. If Texas sweeps, they could be in/tied for first place come Sunday evening.
  17. Big 12 is currently third in overall RPI. As much as it seems the conference is down this season, RPI doesn't reflect it as much. However, things will continue to shake out. \
  18. While certain freak movements/impact/trauma certainly cause tendon and ligament tears, overcompensation due to other injuries, as well as overuse/improper recovery are the alternative primary culprits. The latter is the hypothesis around here given the style of play and cadence of Vic's practices, etc. No idea if it's true or not; but as @Js1 and others have pointed out, there seems to be a trend emerging. Additionally, female athletes are much more prone (eight times more likely) to ligament tears in their knees, especially ACL injuries. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37777208/
  19. He certainly might turn out to be if his mental attributes and drive match his physical gifts. He's a monster.
  20. I highly doubt he’d end up back at Texas. He’s not an elite talent at this point, and Sark won’t want to play games here again. He’s being recruited over in this year’s high school class, and they’re not wasting a portal slot on a guy who won’t have big production this season.
  21. Small sample size, it’s early, so bats aren’t up to stuff yet, and who knows who good the Mariners will be this season, but the starting pitching (and BP) has been really good.
  22. We wouldn’t be at all. We may actually like the Duncanville QB just as much/more.
