  1. NW has gone to three NCAA tournaments in program history (2017, 23, 24). Collins has been the coach since 2013 and has now lead them to two-straight Round of 32 appearances. Point: Chris Collins has done one hell of a job at Northwestern.
  2. When Shaka starts leading breathing exercises during timeouts in the last five minutes of the game and then positions himself as a sixth defender on the court.
  3. That was way worse than Brock’s too (although I still don’t think it should be a F1). There was a partial swing. Brock just backed up for a box out with his arm out and made contact in the head/neck area.
  4. It’s because Cunningham has a “reputation”
  5. Practice Notes from Thursday Bobby
  6. 1. Shit, I started this thread, but I disagree that Terry's seat is getting hotter. Year 1: Elite 8 (Yeah, I know, there are questions about how much credit he gets here) Year 2: Round of 32 (at least, but probably ends here) Those aren't tournament results that make a coach's seat hotter. 2. I wholeheartedly agree with the second bolded group of text.
  7. I'd be down for RT to follow the Tom Izzo seasonal game plan of average to above average (with some great, sprinkled in) regular seasons with disproportionate tournament success. Not that's he's Tom Izzo (who might be the best tournament coach in modern basketball), but that sounds better to me than the inverse; a la Barnes, Shaka, etc. Keep proving us wrong, RT!
  8. Texas either miraculously wins, or we get blown out. I don’t see a five-point loss.
  9. Great win despite a very ugly offensive performance🤘🏼
  10. Texas on an 18-3 run. CSU has 3 points in the past 12 minutes of play.
  11. We need a real PG who can facilitate an offense. That's not Abmas, and it's certainly not Hunter. Otherwise, who knows when it comes to this coaching staff what the hell they really try to do on offense.
  12. Well, for one, more Lubbock coeds would have been sexually assaulted.
  13. Why? We're playing the exact same teams in 2025 as 2024, and Texas has a relatively easy SEC schedule this year. Sure, we'll play @ UGA and Florida, but Florida will be in year 1 of a new HC coming off a losing record. Otherwise, it's @Kentucky and @MSU. Arkansas and A&M will be rivalry games at home, so that's a plus - especially for breaking in Arch to those games. Texas misses Tennessee, Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, Missouri, and Auburn - teams that are good/you must get up for. I just don't see what you're intimidated about here...
  14. I agree - there will have to be. It's essentially a tool to hold your current school hostage. If you can just transfer back, it also harms the new school. Something about this loophole must change.
  15. From Gerry and OTF: "Basketball portal target The Texas Longhorns finished in the top three for Oklahoma State transfer big man Brandon Garrison out of high school. OnTexasFootball expects the Longhorns to make a run at the 6-11, 245 pound rim protector and physical inside defensive presence once again. There is a built in relationship with a number of members of the Texas staff, including Rodney Terry. Terry was point man on the recruitment coming out of high school." He can't be worse than Onyema... At least Garrison seems like he can catch the ball and is even a lukewarm threat to score.
  16. Texas Pro Day Thoughts Bobby - Great stuff in here
  17. Only because Ohtani bet the large prop bet gamble that Kody would somehow pitch and earn a strikeout. I mean, err, his interpreter did.
