  1. That's one hell of a conference schedule. Going to be an equal amount of fun and frustrating, I imagine.
  2. Two plays in a row here where Simmons times the snap perfectly and gets into the backfield almost immediately. First play, blasts into the backfield, sheds a poor block, backtracks very quickly and makes the tackle. Next play, gets basically a free rush due to his speed release at the snap to get a third-down sack. Simmons is well on his way to being ridiculously good.
  3. I'm assuming you mean Beck in one of those spots.
  4. Because he's so thin-skinned, anxious, and egomaniacal to let himself not be "the center of attention of college football" - at least in his mind.
  5. Wtg, 45! Bunch of sandy vaginas in here. STFU and watch the game. Stop acting like the sky is falling.
  6. Yep, Doc and I have the same line of thought. OU’s defense is very good this year. I’ll certainly agree with that. However, they have some injuries and don’t have the speed in the secondary to match Texas’ WRs. I just think Texas will have too many chances with the ball and they’ll convert those chances into points.
  7. I would imagine it's Hilson, Terry, or Sims.
  8. Yeah, I'd need to know more about his buyout before claiming it was a complete bust this early on. Now, don't get me wrong, it doesn't look great for OU at this time; which I, as a Texas fan, love. However, managerial decision making is obviously easier to do in retrospect - one already knows the outcome. If OU's admin didn't lock him in with some absurd buyout, then they probably made the right decisions given other compounding variables, even if the end result doesn't wind up being the "most optimal." One can still make the right decision at a given time and still end up with a poor outcome result. Edit: I can't find his buyout. Is his contract fully guaranteed? If so, I'm less likely to state that OU didn't screw this one up.
  9. If they're down this much at WR, pretty much have JAGs at RB, their OL sucks and is also hobbled, and are starting a true freshman QB, the Red River Rivalry might be a lot like 2022's version. I don't expect it to be 49-0, but something like 41-14 might be realistic.
  10. Yeah, I misread that and omitted "past this season."
  11. Holy shit, that's some bad company to be in LMAO.
  12. I don't see how that would be good for Texas. That's terrible publicity, a la UNLV, waiting to happen. We don't need our rivals to have negative recruiting pitches handed to them on a silver platter. If Sark wants him gone, Mitchell won't get any PT and will be encouraged to look around for a better fit.
  13. Click into the X link to see the full picture. it's nine home and nine away SEC games.
  14. 100%. I didn't understand it at all, and it's not like I'm some QB guru. But he seemed obviously overrated.
  15. Hey, don't we all wants abs?
  16. Can't be possible. @Helobious said he's been no good against pedestrian competition.
  17. App State came into this game as a 7-point favorite. The over/under was 63.5. Vegas nailed one of those, I guess.
  18. Texas: 13 receiving TDs to eight different players (six WRs) | Total: 74 receptions, 1,028 yards A&M: 4 receiving TDs to four different layers (three WRs) | Total: 39 receptions, 474 yards Damn, those are some sizeable differences. I know it's a small sample size and schedules aren't really comparable right now, but I'd imagine that proportion doesn't change much by the end of the season.
  19. That's a lot of safeties.
  20. I never said Auburn has a competent QB - I said "he may have that new QB." They've upgraded from Thorne though. Dude was terrible.
  21. He may have that new QB. Hank Brown replaced Payton Thorne this past Saturday and threw for 4 TDs
  22. Damn, you beat me to it: https://texaslonghorns.com/staff-directory/sam-contorno/1601
  23. True, and the "next year!" roller coaster will begin again, buoyed by an 8-4 season in The Elk's first year. Which honestly, 8-4 would be a good result for them given everything that has transpired there in the past year.
  24. I agree with all of this. Granted, Heard couldn't pass downfield as well as Reed (it seems, as of now), but there will be new game planning for him, nonetheless. A&M avoids UGA, Bama, Tenn, Ole Miss, and OU. While they play Mizzou, SCar, and LSU, all of those teams have major holes. All in all, I just think their final record may make them look better than they actually are. However, as long as Texas takes care of them on November 30th, I don't give a damn.
  25. I know Florida is *not* good, but A&M did look much better on offense with Reed at QB. It'll be interesting to see them against a team like BGSU and then against a competent passing attack in Mizzou.
