  1. What about that time Colt got inexplicably hurt in the national championship game, Squints had five turnovers, Mack Brown didn’t retire, and Texas wandered the proverbial college football desert for 13 seasons. Man, so many good times in that span.
  2. And another from having a bad non-con loss to a 6-12 (1-6) Louisville team. Cherry picking goes both ways. There are no moral victories here. The résumé is the résumé at this point: and at this point, Texas isn’t a tournament team.
  3. This is a moronic comparison. It's very likely KU's "down year" will end up better than all of Texas' past 15 seasons sans maybe three (last year, 2010-11, 13-14).
  4. KU's obviously not as prolific as usual, but this league is incredible this year in terms of the parity.
  5. They're 15-3 (3-2) with losses to UNC, @TCU, @KU... I hate OU too, but I'm not quite sure what you're talking about at this point in the season. The next five (Texas, TT, @KSU, @UCF, BYU) should tell us a lot. Then they get OSU, @BU, KU. Damn, this league is insane. I think likely a 5 or 6-seed is correct. This conference is going to get a ton of teams in the field that span 5-12 seeds.
  6. Literally as close at they could get to not blowing it. What a wild ride that must have been for you.
  7. The combined timing of Texas' entrance to the SEC and major transition (read: implosion of a dynasty) at Alabama couldn't be better.
  8. I'm pretty sure it means no Yurosek. However, he has not committed anywhere. I haven't seen anything reported on his previously scheduled visit to Texas, yet. Helm is good. He doesn't have the athleticism of Sanders, but he's a good blocker, has great size, and can catch. He'll spend material time in the NFL.
  9. This is key. Every single player Texas has seriously pursued has set up a visit quickly.
  10. I know I’m supposed to follow your optimism around here: and believe me, I love it. But, nothing I’ve seen or heard leads me to believe Witt has “it” back. I’m starting to really wonder whether it’ll happen at Texas. Anyone more in the know got anything?
  11. Aaron Williams played CB for two seasons before moving to SS for the Bills. But yeah, it has been a while.
  12. They were doing the Horns down to court-side fans. I’m sure some of his frustration also has to do with the fact his team blew a 15-point lead to a mid team and is more than likely going to miss the tournament.
  13. I’m hopeful you’re right concerning the turnaround. I’d love for it to happen. I have my sincere doubts; they aren’t unwarranted for a multitude of factors we’ve all discussed ad nauseam. By all means, you’re welcome to make me eat my prediction if it turns out to be incorrect.
  14. Gosh, I can’t imagine having to stomach that epic collapse in person.
  15. Lol. This is an embarrassment. Strategy is either bad or absent on both ends of the floor. This team should be winless in conference play. They also should have a loss to a 6-10 Louisville team. I’m also very hesitant to think Texas will hold onto its sixth-ranked class. I bet at least one asks out of their NLI.
  16. Six receptions for 44 yards in that productive of an offense over two seasons doesn't scream "he's a take" to me. I'd definitely be disappointed if this is who Texas ended up with over Niblack (Alabama) or Yurosek (Stanford).
  17. I'd lose my fucking mind if a 5-6 shitty A&M team beat an 11-0 Texas team, regardless of the fact that Texas would still make the playoff.
  18. "I would grade it an easy A." and, in the same breath, "Some of the guys are going to come in and are going to anticipate that they're going to play, and they're not." That's some Aggie math if I've ever seen it.
