  1. "All in all, the reality of it is Texas looked really, really good from a talent standpoint. I'm not sure that I didn't see multiple NFL players at just about every position." Doubled down later... "My point being, I think they may have a couple at just about every position." "I am just very pleased with what I saw, overall. They have the cats to sustain this, even with going to the SEC."
  2. Hopefully Witt. He has it more than Hurley right now.
  3. Texas did finish second. He didn't have great stats this year. OTOH, Stanford was ass. Still, I don't like those FG or FT percentages.
  4. Booker may feast, as well. She should be able to get the basket and score/hit the jumper over her shooter defenders at will. Drexel was the 7-seed in the CAA tournament and had to win it to make the dance. Beat the 2, 6, and 1 seeds by a total of 11 points. On one hand, they're playing good basketball lately, but on the other hand, they're not good. As you said, Texas should win - convincingly.
  5. Yeah, I meant a difference maker relative to Schuessler. I agree with everything you said. We won't want to tax PP physically, either. Need his bat too much.
  6. Man, the Brocks were so damn overrated out of high school.
  7. PP looks like a difference maker defensively at catcher. I wouldn’t mind moving Flores to 3b and getting DK some run at SS during midweek contests.
  8. This conference is not very good this season. Probably only going to get four or so teams in the tournament.
  9. No, it’s worse for the field, so it won’t happen. He just seems like the best defensive option at catcher.
  10. PP may need to take over at C
  11. I 100% agree. I’m just saying what I think he’s doing.
  12. Starting him Tuesday, so he doesn’t want to pitch him today.
  13. @Hookem2147 It appears like you really called TCU this season.
  14. I don’t remember a Texas team worse at turning the double play. Granted, I’ve only been following for about 25 years.
  15. Wtf. Three poor defensive plays in a row.
  16. My understanding, given what I know about NIL and other sports, is that the head coach ultimately oversees the allocation of program-related NIL. Corporate NIL is another story.
  17. Yeah, I’m not trying to start a fight. At the end of the day, if we think Texas is a top-10 baseball program, it should have a top-10 head coach. That’s not Pierce. If Texas doesn’t make the tournament, I’ll be curious to see if CDC goes elsewhere - especially since he hasn’t made a hire in the sport yet at Texas.
  18. Yeah, in terms of funding. Thats not the AD managing NIL. That’s a coach seeking/taking funds.
  19. Why would others in the AD, outside of the baseball program, manage NIL allocation? They don’t tell Pierce who to put on scholarship. I’m sure Pierce doesn’t do it all himself and his staff assists, but that’s still on DP to manage and oversee.
  20. I mean, the head coach is ultimately responsible for the entire program.
  21. Yeah, I think it’s a bad allocation, i.e., poor strategy and execution.
  22. We’re not behind in NIL. Texas is easily a top-five baseball program in terms of NIL. @closetojumping has already stated this in multiple occasions. The allocation of NIL might be poor, but the aggregate number is not. What @trophsaid above is likely the right call.
  23. Yeah, Mitch Canham is my vote. He’s young, has two rings, and has done really well thus far. Only issue is he’s an OSU guy through and through.
