  1. Yeah, he’s shown some piss poor blocking in multiple games this season.
  2. I don't understand how this keeps happening to Sark in big games. Why can't Texas disguise/vary them better?
  3. It was shitty writing, but I think you misunderstood. We have a bye next week. They mean they'll take advantage of missing this week and next to heal up for Florida. Hence why they say Wingo will start, they bet Livingstone will travel, and Mukuba should return for Florida. That likely means Bond doesn't play/travel either.
  4. They're really not. Texas shouldn't lose, and I'm certainly not scared of A&M, but they could absolutely upset Texas this season. I just don't see how four SEC teams don't make it. PSU has a close win over Illinois, and IU hasn't beaten anyone of note (although they do look good). Both must play OSU, so they could garner big wins, but there aren't many more chances to gain big wins for either besides OSU and a potential BIG title game appearance. PSU is more likely to get in because of ranking anchoring right now, but the CFP rankings may vary. Otherwise, hopefully Army, Navy, or somehow USC knock off ND.
  5. Agreed. I thought they'd go right back to her after the 24th point when she crushed a kill.
  6. Aggy with a season-high nine aces, and we're not even out of the third set yet... wow.
  7. For sure. That was total dominance by Stanford. This is an entirely different team and scheme now, too. That feels like forever ago haha.
  8. As always, I appreciate the information and overview
  9. Making the SEC Championship Game (very likely) assumes Texas wins out. I’m not so sure that happens.
  10. I mean, technically it is the same outcome. Neither is good enough to achieve a first down by average yards per drive alone.
  11. You’re correct that this particular play was 100% on the right side of the OL. I’ll give you that, for sure. No contest However, many of the other sacks were on Quinn. This has been put on film study by numerous analysts at this point, which have been shared here. Overall, Arch attempted to make a play where Quinn did not even attempt to escape appropriately all night.
  12. A) It has already been said by many posters, as well as well plenty of analysts that cover Texas and others that don't, that the OLine pass protected better than it first appeared on Saturday. Did they win the night; no. But they weren't awful. B) If Quinn is still injured, there is no reason his ass should be playing. He's been bad two weeks in a row. His TD pass against OU was a one-read play and it only occurred because Gunnar is an absolute asset and fought for YAC. Ewers is a shell of his Michigan self right now. Quinn didn't just have a bad day. He had an abysmal performance that was made even worse by his glaring lack of composure, breakdown of fundamentals, and inability to do basic QB tasks like step up in a pocket and take the yards that are there. A&M isn't some shitty team this year. They can absolutely beat Texas. Kyle might be the loudest it has ever been, especially if A&M is playing for a shot at the SEC Championship Game. Elko is a defensive coach and won't be a fool with his game plan. Expect more disguised coverage schemes and pressure on Quinn, if he's playing. 100% He'd be an absolute fool not to begin prepping Arch for a starting role. I'm not saying Quinn should be replaced immediately, but Arch must to be prepared in case Texas needs to break glass. If Quinn looks like shit again, he needs to sit.
  13. While I certainly agree with how poor the play was, especially at clutch moments (honestly, it just looked like eight year olds trying to drive, passing back out, and then jacking up random shots), Stewart arguably did not have control of the ball at any moment during the first three or so steps. It was contested and then bobbled twice. I'll try to find the angle from the baseline. I thought for sure it was a missed travel call until they showed another replay angle on the broadcast. Once I saw it, I was less sure. Regardless, it seemed obvious that the WNBA wanted New York to win.
  14. There's a sliver of me that thinks this might be true. If he’s in a bad head space or is injured, he may possibly play himself out of millions with more bad performances.
  15. Nope. You’re right. However, defenses send pressure because they know Quinn gets the yips and can’t elude pressure or reorient himself well in the pocket. He did a masterful job against Michigan, and where the hell has that gone? Against UGA, he just walked himself too far back, leaving the edges space to get to him, or bailed out to the right before he even needed to. He didn’t seem to be able to read his progressions while navigating the pocket. He couldn’t against OU either. His one TD pass against OU was on a scripted play where he really had one read. Even then, it was incumbent on Helm to score via YAC. He won’t take easy yards scrambling up the pocket anymore, either. He routinely did that last season. Otherwise, both OU and UGA got pressure rushing four because Quinn wouldn’t protect his own pocket and step up. It’s maddening I don’t understand how a fourth-year QB, a third-year starter, and a guy of Ewers’ supposed caliber is this inconsistent. If he’s not healthy and is guarding because of it, his ass shouldn’t be playing. Texas is trying to make the playoffs and win a title. I don’t give a shit about Quinn trying to protect his draft status. If that’s not the case, maybe he’s just mentally fucked right now for some reason. He seems to have almost no idea what he’s doing lately when the easy read is no longer there. I also understand that Texas could very well lose that game had Arch played its entirety. UGA played extremely well on the front seven and the scheme matched in its execution. I just expect much more out of Ewers than how he has played since returning against OU. It's obvious he's not close to 100%.
  16. This is such a weird set up haha. If either Army/Navy is undefeated with a win over ND and a conference title, I think they get in over Boise. Sure, Boise played Oregon close, but they lost. Army or Navy would have a top-20 AP win (ND) and possibly another top-25 AP win if both are undefeated going into the conference title game.
  17. I’m sure they wouldn’t. The G5 slot goes to the highest ranked G5 team. Even with a conference championship, a loss the following week would (likely) knock either out if Boise keeps winning; especially since Boise is already ranked ahead of both teams.
