  1. They won’t both be undefeated on 12/8. The AAC Championship Game is 12/7. They’d play each other there, then play the regular season Army/Navy matchup the next week as originally scheduled.
  2. To the short side of the field with only one blocker. I hate that. Same shitty play didn’t work versus OU.
  3. Saw that. Finally. We’ll see if that shit gets called if it’s a close game in the 4th.
  4. Oh, wow. I’m actually surprised by that. Let’s go fuck up some bulldogs, Texas!
  5. I missed the picks. I’ve gathered it was: Desmond: Texas Saban: UGA Pat? Scottie: Texas
  6. And that’s why I think given OSU’s depleted defense, you go down and burn more clock if you’re OSU. Worst case scenario is you kick the fg to tie and force OT. Now, they’re gonna lose.
  7. For sure. But they should be able to score in four downs. Either way, I won’t complain. Four-point lead is great right now.
  8. Presley probably should have gone down at like the 1 there to force BYU to burn TOs.
  9. Did Presley go OOB? I wasn’t fully paying attention. Clock wasn’t running prior to that 2nd down play.
  10. Yeah, there are tons of people picking Texas.
  11. Yeah... that one was missed. Has nothing to do with how many events are going on this weekend.
  12. 2002, #4 TCU at home. Problems galore here. Not just Quinn. 2022, at #11 OSU. 19-49 for 329, 2 TDs, 3 INTs. Also a Sark WTF game. Quinn still threw for a lot, though. There were other compounding factors, as well. We're very far removed from that season, though. Team has completely changed.
  13. McElroy picks UGA. One of the only prominent media members I've seen to do it. He mentions near the end he doesn't trust the Texas secondary yet (combo of it being the weakness last year and MSU being the best passing offense Texas has faced). However, his biggest concern is the loss of Texas' best coverage safety - Williams. I do agree it's a concern, and I haven't really heard it mentioned much throughout the national media. Texas can certainly win this game, and they should be favored at home, but we're about to find out how legit these pass rush and pass coverage units are.
  14. Thank you for the response. I really appreciate it. Or a nasty change. This was basically a description of Lucas Gordon. I'd take another SP like that, for sure.
  15. This is what I'm thinking, too. Especially given where Texas currently has blue-chip holes in the current class. Although, apparently Chester has been looking fantastic this season. Simple misdirection maneuver in game theory. Make an opponent over allocate to keep an asset/competitive advantage "safe" while you secretly direct your actual attention elsewhere to steal white space and/or market share to build your own/erode your opponents market share. My company does this shit all the time. I bet this happens in recruiting at Texas. Especially since very few programs can compete with Texas' NIL spending.
  16. I know you're intimately involved in NIL efforts, so I don't want you to take this as me challenging your claim above, but why? Is Trey just a huge Texas fan? Is there some misalignment in his prospect ranking vs. what MLB scouts think? Is it simply the shift in value of high school pitching prospects (i.e., the data shows the development curve isn't worth the investment nowadays in most cases)? Trey wants to supplement his potential (highly variable depending on development outcome) future professional earnings with NIL now? Trey wants to develop under Weiner and be a surefire high pick later on? Some combo of the above?
  17. It's not stupid when you consider the analog to real life. Those are supposed to represent staff totals; not solely you as the head coach. Bigger/more successful programs generate more money, employ more staff towards recruiting, etc. So, totally understandable to have more than 168 recruiting hours in the total allotment.
  18. Where 2025 Texas football commits, targets stand in the updated Top247 rankings -Fasusi up from 27 to 17. -LaMont Rogers up from 104 to 27. -Brooks down to an unranked four star from 143. Many mock drafts indicate that Texas likely has two day one OTs picked in May, 2025. While I know there are good OTs in waiting (Goosby and Baker), Brooks should be a good development guy, and Texas leads for Turntine in 2026, I would really like to land Rogers or Fasusi in this class. Nevertheless, Brooks may end up being a starter faster than not, rankings are oftentimes wrong, and Texas may take a portal OT this offseason anyways. Plus, OU's season could go to shit and Fasusi could flip.
  19. I don't believe we even need to count Mitchell once. It's obvious the dude's time in Austin is over. He's basically already gone. Accordingly, the coaches are already allocating a transfer spot there.
