  1. I didn't realize Dark Helmet had any eligibility left....
  2. Is low score best here? I'm trying to figure out how in the fuck they could put together a list where Lubbock is the 2nd best location. I mean it's better than Amarillo, or any place in Oklahoma, but I'm running out of locations where Lubbock comes out on top pretty fucking fast. Then you see Boulder, Tempe and Tucson on the list and wait, Lubbock isn't at the ass end of that list, It's just wild.
  3. Had sideline passes for that game. Almost won a car at halftime. Missed it by about a quarter of an inch. Good times!
  4. I grew up going to a 1st Baptist Church. Remember sermons going back to the late 70's. Went most weeks until I left home to go to UT. I do not ever remember a time when there weren't political flyers right next to the weekly programs and those little books that are meant to keep kids occupied so they don't act up during the super boring sermon.
  5. Pretty sure he's already gotten hired as the aggy meat judging assistant coach.
  6. Fuck Tracy Saul, more because of what he did to my high school team than what he did at Tech. Yep.
  7. I have an efficiency with a kitchenette in downtown Austin, already rented out for 4 days for $2k for that weekend. There is money to be made for those that are willing for sure.
  8. 1. Nebraska didn't leave because we get our way. Nebraska left because they couldn't fucking beat us and they couldn't get used to losing. 2. Colorado didn't leave because of us, they left because they were afraid to be left behind in the new and improved Pac-16 deal that aggy blew up AFTER Colorado had already made the jump. Sorry, hate when sportswriters get those events so god damned wrong when they are trying to push this narrative about Texas.
  9. Got damn! Also, Lane Kiffin is a funny motherfucker!
  10. My company refuses to make a pride version or our logo, and they've come up with all kinds of reasons that are relatively reasonable for why not. But I know people who have left over that, and I know people who believe that anything we do around minority rights, whether that's for our black employees or our veteran employees or our female employees is purely performative, because when it comes right down to it, they don't actually believe in any of it, they are just trying to be expedient about keeping those people on staff. So yeah, it may be pandering for some, but it feels a whole lot better to be pandered to than it does to be told "Nah, I'm not even going to pander to you, you fucking queers." Because for some of my former co-workers, that's exactly what the company was saying when they didn't change our logo for Pride.
  11. This was me every sunday at 12:01, leaving my First Baptist Church.
  12. Umm, where might I find this little slice of wonderfulness?
  13. These numbers make me very happy, having grown up a southern Baptist. Love seeing people join my club. Hopefully they aren't losing their members to the crazier parts of Christianity and this is indicative of people coming to their senses.
  14. God damn, even their mariachis are unattractive.
  15. Oh shit, that guy has not aged well. There was a time where I could get down on the idea of fucking that guy, but now he's developed that aggy look. Ugh, no thanks.
  16. Yeah she's gorgeous. If I were going to make an exception, she'd be pretty much top of the list.
  17. I guess we don't go to the same clubs.
  18. Oh they really meant Moors? I thought the article had misspelled Morons.
  19. And an extra underline which you could use to choose your own adventure.
  20. On the one hand lock that fucker up. On the other, it's a drop in the bucket. I used to read a blog that once a week ran a list of all the people who were either clergy or outspoken "family values" republicans who had been arrested for either kiddie porn or else the rape of children. I don't recall that list ever falling below 15 in any given week.
  21. Another example of why you should never trust anyone who is too public with displays of either a fish or a cross.
  22. Sounds like 18-20 year old me. And I skipped every class I thought I could get away with skipping. Yeah back then if you didn't have a doctor's note after missing more than one day, you got 0's for any homework or tests that were assigned while you were gone. It was fucking brutal. On top of that, my dad was a pharmacist, so I had to be sick as a dog to get out of going to school altogether. I knew I could get away with having an upset stomach and going home at lunch 3 or 4 times a year, but that's as much as I was ever going to get.
  23. I'm with you sister! It sounds fun in theory but the few times I went down that road it was not at all fun. Yep, I have that pink triangle tattooed on my back, because it represents that we were marked for slaughter, and I want to make sure to always remember that those days could come back if we don't remain vigilant.
