  2. Have we started spreading the conspiracy theory that this can't be the real Alex Jones because Public Access Alex Jones looked nothing like this fat moron? It would be like a lizard person to go yell about other people being lizard people to throw people off his scent. In fact, that's what I'm going with from now on.
  3. This is good to know. My husband is on the allegra D, but it hasn't slowed down him being on my D so I have that going for me, which is nice.
  4. We've been doing in person meetings for awhile now. My last trip to headquarters we also had to test once we got there before we walked into the office. In our case we did it because one of our people is an expecting father and was trying to be extra careful about being around people while his wife is severely pregnant. All my other trips just required everyone be vaxxed. And that is going to continue well into the future where I work.
  5. Wait, didn't Icono self ban from Cloak Room, and now he's created a sock just for the purpose of posting in Cloak Room?
  6. Yeah poorly worded on my part. I'm not going to accidentally catch an undetected breakthrough case and give it to them, especially since I've been on the road 6 out of the last 6 weeks.
  7. Exactly. Just had the talk with my dad yesterday that I won't be attending family Christmas this year because my sister, brother in law and their 2 kids aren't vaccinated. I am not going to be the one responsible for giving them a breakthrough case.
  8. Have you tried ARC? I called them up and had my booster and my husband's booster scheduled for the next day. When we got there we both told them we had asthma and got a full Moderna booster instead of the half shot booster that people without pre-existing conditions are/were getting (don't know if that's changed).
  9. All this time, I never knew I only had to go to Ithaca to see a leaning tower. I always thought I had to haul my ass to Italy to make that happen. I'll be in New York in January, maybe a side trip is in order.
  10. Now that your sense of smell/taste is coming back, I'll tell you a story about one of my coworkers who got COVID 11 months ago, pretty sure she's the one that gave it to her neighbor. They both recovered, but the neighbor still hasn't gotten her sense of taste or smell back. So congrats!
  11. What about this post do you think refutes the fact that everyone in that picture is fat?
  12. This doesn't make sense to me. Wouldn't the effects of inebriation provide some warning that you are over consuming whether or not you have taste buds?
  13. She's also doing a series of tik tok videos to explain each and every one of them for those who want to dive deeper.
  14. Magnetized from the vaccine, don't you know nothing?
  15. A guy on my flight yesterday was wearing a mask that said "This mask is as useless as Joe Biden." I laughed as he walked by because I don't think he's smart enough to realize he's actually paying Biden a compliment with that mask. While there are tons of unknowns about COVID, we do know that masking up reduces spread. That means that masks are not at all useless, which means that Biden is not at all useless as well, assuming that the statement on his mask was accurate. It simply reinforced my belief, supported by anecdotal evidence, that morons are roaming amongst us. Gird your loins, people.
  16. Can you imagine how empty your life must be for you to have an ongoing twitter fight with a puppet?
  17. I was freaked out about the air travel thing, until I had to travel for work during the summer. Then I realized that it's a pain in the ass, but you are less likely to get sick on an airplane today than you were 2 years ago, because everyone is wearing their masks, and at least on United, they are serious about it. They even give you a wipe that you can double wipe all the crap they cleaned before you got on. I've flown to Mexico, to Seattle, to Boston, to Chicago and will be flying to Europe and a couple more work trips between now and the end of the year. I did come home sick from my first work trip, but not COVID, just picked up a cold from being out at restaurants and bars with coworkers and not getting enough sleep for a week after not exposing my immune system to anything at all for a year and a half. He'll be fine. You'd be fine too, pay for the upgrade to premium economy, so you'll be around the people that are more used to traveling in this, and you'll find it's a pretty pleasant experience.
  18. So the vaccine takes someone who is HIV-, has them skip HIV+ status which usually takes at least a year or two to turn to AIDS and moves them right to the front of the line? Because that's the only way that we could even know if the vaccine gives people AIDS at this point. It otherwise hasn't even been in testing long enough for us to know one way or the other. People are idiots.
  19. Ok I'm going to ask, wtf is a gay dating simulator? Watching gay porn with your dick in your hand? I've never heard it referred to in that way.
  20. I think that calls out that maybe there was some truth to the claim that minorities were lagging because of a lack of access, either because shots weren't available where they were or because by and large you needed the internet to have any chance of scoring an appointment early. Also, I think all the people that were hesitant but not crazy have pretty much gotten past their hesitancy, and all we're left now unvaccinated are the ones with some form of crazy.
  21. I'd be willing to bet a large amount of dollars this is bullshit.
  22. My sister is still not vaccinated, nor is she letting her kids get vaccinated. She's doing it because she decided that vaccines cause autism and other left wing reasoning against vaccines. Her husband won't do it because it's a government plot. I've made it clear to her and to the parents that if we're a part of Christmas this year, it will be because the parents come to visit. I'm not going to be in person with my sister or her family until this is easily treatable or goes away or they are vaccinated. I would not want to live with it on my conscience that I maybe picked up an asymptomatic case and spread it around to them so they could potentially go die. It sucks because before this she was one of my best friends on earth. We talked almost every day during the pandemic until she finally admitted she "wasn't feeling" the vaccine, and now we talk once a month, maybe. On the bright side, I don't have to travel into the panhandle for the 2nd year in a row.
  23. I took his refusal not to mean he would find his own way home, but more him saying he wasn't planning on leaving, because he had a duty to count the votes. It's the most ethical thing he's ever done.
