  1. God dammit, that's not that far from my house. Too close for my comfort for sure. Also, it looks like he's one of those roid heads that turns into a thumb above the collar.
  2. Dude good luck up there, and sorry about your dad. I used to drive through there every year on my way home, but my parents moved to the permian basin so I hang a left at Sterling City now. Of course, I've already told them I won't be heading that direction til my sister and her family get the jab. Not sure how I'd handle a memorial service in this nonsense. Really feel for you, man.
  3. My first time on this thread. Should I expect to get castigated for having one of those candles but with Willie Nelson instead of Fauci?
  4. What, you don't like shitty tamales cooked in paper?
  5. I'm pretty sure we've already fucked around and done that too, we're just waiting to find out.
  6. Trump was in the executive branch, where no laws are passed.
  7. I have been meaning to say this forever, but you have one of my favorite usernames, and the accompanying avatar is the chef's kiss. It would only be better if you had a sock named Golden God.
  8. Borrego is a staple in the NAIU household. That dump site has been pissing me off for awhile.
  9. That seems fair to me most of the time. I'm certain the school board in my hometown would've had something to say about the biology teacher if they knew about it, but I'm also certain that most of the kids in my class didn't tell their parents about it because a) less work, and b) parents went to the same church and agreed with the teacher, so they likely never knew about it. However, with the groups trying to radicalize small town councils and school boards, I don't know if long term even that is the right strategy. As to the other, water under the dam.
  10. I was reacting to the part where you said something to the effect of, if you don't like it, you should leave the state. Try to be less inflammatory in your statements if you want me to be less reactive. Now, I may not have taken that to be quite so inflammatory had I not missed your caveats the first time through, and that's the reason that I retracted that part of the post. I still don't understand why you went hard in the love it or leave it paint when you seem to have many of your own misgivings about the bill. And that's what I was looking for you to flesh out. Also, not sure how I feel about local control on this. I didn't get an education on evolution until college because local control meant my honors biology teacher could unilaterally decide based on her religion what was worthy of study in our biology textbook and what wasn't. And she did decide that evolution wasn't real so we were going to skip that section. And she told us were were skipping for that reason, so we got less teaching and some baptist proselytizing for good measure.
  11. I guess I'm not understanding your take, because you marked just as many things as bad or maybe bad as you marked as ok. Seems weird you'd get so fired up about the good stuff that you took a love it or leave it stance, as if the bad and maybe bad parts could just be ignored. That's what got my dander up on your earlier posts. I'd love to better understand your thought process here.
  12. And I'll call myself out, I skipped a section of your post and maybe the section I kept was bolded and italicized. Until you clarify I'll edit out the go fuck yourself.
  13. I don't understand how ix can be enforced if we are going to continue to teach Article 1 Section 2 of the Constitution. Or that many of our founders were slave owners. Those things do not comport with the idea that those are deviations from the founding principles since it was the fucking founders that set it up that way. So yeah, if you think I need to leave Texas for thinking that's some big giant bullshit, I've got to wonder what beliefs you are hiding behind the veneer you show us on this forum. If I'm misunderstanding your point, then let's talk.
  14. Also confirmed Florida, Del Ray Beach at the Ramen Lab.
  15. Lol again. Good news it it works for both posts!
  16. So they think they are going to lure anyone but the worst frat boy stereotype with Miller Lite? Huh.
  17. I always laugh when the idiot belatedly gets out the phone and claims to start taking a video of the person videoing them, as if it’s some sort of trump card that invalidates their assholery. Spoiler alert, it never is.
  18. Be prepared to go back, because I’m pretty convinced at this point that those people don’t have any sense to come back to. Jesus could come back and tell them they are morons for skipping and they’d call him a libtard Fuck and keep on trucking down this idiotic path. the only hope is that this round kills enough of them that the rest of them finally see the need. It makes me fucking sad and furious to come to that conclusion, because my sister, who is one of my best friends, is currently in the no vaccine for her, her husband or her children camp. I’m already expecting at least one of them will die this year.
  19. Only the blind couldn't see that the madness was already there, it just needed a few more minutes to boil over.
  20. So instead of getting infatuated with a band and following them around on tour, they became Trump groupies instead. Jesus Christ I don't know what to say.
  21. Awesome, thanks! Also, I learned something new about artists being assholes to each other, so this was an especially satisfying link!
  22. I'm in for a multi-pass!
  23. I once got pulled over and berated in Lubbock for having the temerity of turning left in on a game day with a Longhorn sticker on my car. Never asked for an ID, never told me what I did wrong besides being a big city driver in the little utopia that is Lubbock. I can confirm he knew how to scream though, fucker yelled and screamed for a good 10 minutes. The. Later that day Texas got beat by the tortilla tossers 33-9, so all in all the cop was a highlight of that particular trip to Lubbock.
  24. Police: "This teenage girl looked at me funny, that's a hate crime!" Is that what I just read?
