  1. I think the first two rounds should be on campus, three would be awesome.
  2. Well, you tell us. You're the resident historian… since you've lived through it all. 😉
  3. But how does the voting machine know?
  4. Same here. Wait til it happens when you lean over to fart.
  5. I’m for it, but not a fan of it being used through challenges. Use it or don’t.
  6. Eh, sometimes you need to piss em off a little bit. Builds character. They'll get over it.
  7. And people wonder why that shooter got so much support.
  8. Thanks J. My wife got gestational when she was pregnant, and it ended up type 2. So we have splenda in the house, but I’m not a fan of it in coffee. And well, coffee is life, and life is too short to drink shit coffee. I’ll get a small thing of stevia to try out. I do have some agave “syrup”, but not sure if that’s a go or not.
  9. Got a call from the doc this morning, after seeing him yesterday and getting bloodwork done. A1C was… not bueno. Triglycerides (sp?) were a hair elevated but it wasn’t a fasting lab and I’d had lunch right before. So, got metformin and some statin added to my routine now. Just lovely. Don’t really eat sugary shit often, haven’t drank a soda in a few years, aside from a very rare sprite once or twice when I had a stomach bug. Even then it was a little 6oz can, not a big one. But then there’s coffee. That’s the kicker. Well that, and I do make some form of potatoes 2-3 times a week. Pretty low to non-existent on other carbs, major holidays maybe a little bit, but not routinely. So well, hell. Here we go. Anyone have a rec on “sweeteners” that are ok? No pink or blue packets. Maybe splenda, but not fond of the taste. Stevia? Some other “natural” thing?
  10. Yep. They’ve been headed to the toilet since way back when their cookie recipe got out.
  11. People like that get what they deserve. Too bad a kid had to be involved. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
  12. My parents recently switched to consumer cellular. It’s been ok. Not horrible, but not great. Definitely using the “old” networks, usually have reception, sometimes not. Sometimes that call is bouncing around a min before connecting. Tells me a lot about their routing.
  13. Exactly my thoughts as well. With the quick response and info upthread about how that happens, it would appear that something was called in, or that they knew weather was getting bad and they already had a response on alert “just in case.” I would think at this point if there was a distress call, it would have been part of the dataset by now?
  14. Jack the Ripper had a run too, without getting caught. I mean if you really want to go down that path, whatev. Keep on fuckin that pig if it helps your inferiority complex.
  15. Woah woah woah. Why you gotta dis us like that? We ain’t cheatin wannabes.
  16. Not sure on this one. No author listed. https://texaslonghorns.com/news/2025/2/17/no-19-baseball-downs-oklahoma-state-crowned-shriners-childrens-college-showdown-champions.aspx
