  1. Did a rewatch of that last spring. Still got it. Looked like a toothpick on fire to me.
  2. What’s he holding in his hand?
  3. Video footage from the scene:
  4. I’d also add that the YTTV 4k isn’t really worth it, unless you need the increased number of streams. Very little content, and it’s compressed anyway.
  5. Anton hit it well. For that scenario, the problem is putting a 720 image (lowgrade HD) on a 4k. For that to happen the image has to be converted on the fly into a 4k signal. Where it gets tricky is how you do it. You can of course use apps on the tv, or some type of (4k)streaming stick. Don’t do that. I’ll skip all the yadda yadda, but suffice to say your best overall option is a 4k apple tv. Set it to output 4k/HDR or 4k/Dolby Vision. It won’t be perfect, but it has the best conversion out there overall. Won’t be the same as true 4k bluray, but it’s pretty good. And I say that with a 120” screen to cover.
  6. Pretty much that, yeah. I’m sure docs and nurses take issue with hospital shows, but it is what it is: Entertainment.
  7. If the matchup is good, sure. If meh, then I’ll pull up baseball games from last season. LA/SD-SD/LA from last June sounds like a good place to start.
  8. It is. Granted some things kind of get mixed together for tv, but it isn’t a documentary. It entertaining enough, and an easy watch that’s pretty enjoyable.
  9. That reminds me of one of my uncles. He worked the fields doing ratholes. Tough old bird, but damn that man wouldn’t even miss a rerun of Dallas. Landman makes me think of him as well. Nothing specifically, but that overall attitude and such.
  10. Radical Larry?
  11. spank the monkey
  12. I think we have the engineering capability to do something like that safely. Where it goes south is it would take ludicrous amounts of money to build, and be extremely difficult to fully protect in the current world climate. In a civil world, it would a be an amazing accomplishment. Then again, in a civil world it wouldn’t really be needed. Nice brain time thinking about how something like that would kinda work, how big it would be, etc.
  13. Locks and damns would do the trick. Sure, why not. For that matter, why not make UAE the middle point, continue WNW and just hook it to the med off Israel? Take over all that sweet Suez Canal money, then triple the rates. Treat it like the railway and make them single direction tunnels. No more having to stop in the middle of the Suez to swap traffic around.
  14. No shit. My bill, with 7-10 days of AC is that. And I have two grow rooms, a network rack, and tons of electronics.
  15. How is it that every time you see Mateer, he is more trailer trashy than the last time you saw him? Must be something in the water meth in Norman.
  16. DaveChappelleSoCarIsFuckingUp!.gif
  17. There were reports of similar when Shildt decided to step down from the Padres job. Shits well past out of hand now.
  18. Sure it is. It absolutely is. From a fan perspective and wondering if you’ll make it out alive before it collapses. Very intimidating.
  19. Georgia with an 81% chance to make the CFP if they lose today. Texas with a 31% chance if they lose. SEC wants as many teams as possible, so on and so forth. We've been over that this week, but now with SoCar up by 27 at halftime (giggity), makes me wonder if/how the fuckery goes tonight and in whose favor.
  20. My only bitch with YTTV overall is no History channel and no RSN’s. Still may end up moving to a streaming DTV package at some point.
  21. People betting the other way. That's all "lines" are. To entice betting to one side or the other so that the house can at worst break even on a game. It's not a win prediction, never has been. It doesn't mean a fucking thing outside of how people are betting, and should never be viewed as an indication of anything else.
