  1. Is it possible this was the potential moonshot. Not to give credence to any $9.95'er pedaling that info, but he is one of the better defensive players to portal to date.
  2. I want nothing but the best for former players that leave. Unless they chose to go to OU.
  3. Ketch continues to be a traitor to this program.
  4. I don't think Brown chose Louisville over Texas for money and I don't think Baugh chose Florida for money. Not every kid is a mercenary. It is not difficult to imagine that a young kid could get disgruntled by his school's current offer that he reaches out to other schools to try to entice that school to up his offer. But the kid is also in theory working towards a degree and has friends/living arrangements already figured out at his current school. Does he want to see which classes transfer? How long it would take him to graduate at the new school? Find a new place to live? No. He wants his current school to pay whatever he thinks is the market rate for his services. So stories/rumors get started. Conversations with other schools happen. Then his original school comes in and sweetens the deal enough to make all the downside of leaving not worth whatever extra sum of money they may have passed on. It's entirely possible we lost both Brown and Baugh due to money since no one knows. Breaking the bank for Baugh makes sense for Florida IMHO. Coleman though likely is a mercenary. If we lose him than that may likely be a money decision.
  5. That seems as simple an explanation as any used by this administration to justify its actions.
  6. It's not Texas centric. Tech, Ohio State, Oregon, USC and a few other places are just as capable of being used as proxies to bid up contract offers for your clients.
  7. Honestly I do. Will we be fine? Probably. Still would have liked to have locked down at least one interior lineman on offense and one or two more other pieces this first weekend.
  8. Smart agents use interest by Texas to get their players more money. It happens every time we hire a coach. So why wouldn't it happen with players? Use our rb situation to get more NIL money from your school of choice. Simple. 9.95ers are fed the bullshit from coaches more likely than not but also reps/agents. They can't seem to discern between when they/Texas are being used to bolster a money offer and when their is legitimate interest.
  9. Everyone was applauding our ruthless efficiency making tough financial decisions. Coffee is for closers.
  10. Haha.. And then President Vance? Assuming Trump even allows a valid election
  11. Easiest way to destroy NATO. So it's entirely possible.
  12. Would have been interesting to have these discussions in Congress. Lol
  13. Who we know will be better than Maduro based on what? And just because we leave our puppet in charge doesn't mean that he stays in charge.
  14. Unreal. It may be good for Venezuala in the long run, but leaving a power vacuum might make things significantly worse in the short term. Got to love all our checks and balances though. Can't wait for Russia to do the same with a European leader or China in Taiwan.
  15. Bobby just cuts and paste my posts.
  16. I am just going to presume that every do not contact tag means they contacted our coaching staff weeks and/or months ago and are already on board until proven otherwise.
  17. I can't see Aggie dropping Reed even if he is holding them financially hostage. They just came off their greatest season ever. Dumping Reed for Lagway or any other QB just seems insane. No chance that this could just be Aggie signing a back-up QB type behind Reed?
  18. It's not finite. We're Texas. Can someone post the NIL Donation link? I don't have it b/c I am a poor.
  19. L I'm not there yet, but partially enchubbened by the early reports.
  20. Maybe we just pay brown to return kicks and punts. We're Texas. Lol
