  1. It's not the Dems job to do that on the first day. It's the witnesses job to make the case and Taylor and Kent were fantastic. If the rest of the witnesses are as persuasive and honest as those two guys then I think two weeks of this will go a long way to swaying opinion.
  2. So? I mean I completely agree with your analysis. 100%. But then what? Would you have them not make their case for impeachment? The President and his minions competed an impeachable act. You make the case in the House exactly like they are today. You have solid, credible witnesses tell their story for all of America to see. You make the case as best you can as clearly as you can. Simple. Then the vote is whatever the vote is. The alternative is to let slide an impeachable offense due to political calculation. Maybe I'm too much of an idealist, but you take the L if that is the end result for the system and hope that the public vote of R's and Trump's second term vindicates that L historically.
  3. We have top pair and all the draws. I don't know that I love the $200 bet sizing on the turn ourselves after it being checked to us. Regardless, I definitely feel like we are beat when he jams the $300 on the river due to his flatting the $200 on the turn. Can't fathom he's flatting $200 on the turn, missing draws, and then jamming thinking he is going to have much fold equity.
  4. Based on testimony today there 100% is a recording. If the staffer to Taylor is to be believed, our beloved leader and his ambassador to the EU decided that instead of talking on secure phone lines they would have a conversation on a cell phone. I guarantee you Russia has the conversation fully recorded. The only question is how many other governments have that conversation fully recorded? The difficulty is that no government will admit to having it, but I'm hopeful someone just drops it on wikileaks to turn the entire debacle on its head.
  5. That's a reflection of the leadership shown by Republicans instead of the actual merits of illegality exposed today.
  6. Exactly. The most comforting part of this entire process is that there are people like Taylor and Kent on the front lines representing the US and its interests. So much more faith in them than Congress or the White House. I guess that makes me team #Deepstate.
  7. Grown ups focused on moving the ball forward or making the case stronger. No grandstanding for political purposes.
  8. Staffer for Taylor overhearing Trump on phone demanding investigation seems like it may be important.
  9. The deal we withdrew from? That deal?
  10. Agree here 100%. You are also going to want to squeeze here on occasion so better to do so with the top of your range as well at times. I jam here and fully expect middle position to pay me off after the percentage of his stack he's already put in the pot..
  11. You are ahead, but only 44% to win. Fold both hands. 99 or AA doesn't matter much.
  12. You could also be up against a spade draw with a 9 (9J, 98, 97) and possibly someone overplaying a nut flush draw. No guarantee it is set or two pair. Regardless, I think one key on these combo draw hand jams is making sure you factor in the nut flush draw possibilities into the equation. It may not change much as you would still have 9 outs if it is just Asxs, but could be royally screwed if you are up against A9s.
  13. I agree on the call though I hate the donk bet. Not a lot of 4's likely in his range sans Ah4h. All J-9 and 10-9's are in I think and maybe Ah9h. Could be 99 and being sticky. Ultimate you risk that against the AJ combos that play that hand similarly and the missed flush draws and I think the $100 call is worth it odds wise.
  14. It's like they don't make enough money ramping up the table minimums from $5 - $15 or $25 that they have to fuck you in the ass dropping the blackjack odds as well.
  15. Nearly every single witness admitted there was a quid pro quo. Except Sondland. Who then came back and amended his testimony to admit their was a quid pro quo. So it's time to pivot to it's not illegal. Then they will pivot to the Clinton's/Obama did the same thing next.
  16. And it got a little over the top the last episode.................
  17. I liked Season 1. Season 2 is better.
  18. 1. They only got their money because a federal investigation was started in response to a complaint and then a week later they released the money with zero explanation as to why all of a sudden the money was released. What changed? Oh yeah, the investigation. 2. Quid pro Quo doesn't require an actual exchange. One side can offer. The other side can say no. 3. Your boy Sondland changed his testimony to admit there was indeed a quid pro quo and is now something like the fifth or sixth person to readily admit it.
  19. Memba a less than a week ago how you were adamant there was no quid pro quo because that was what Sondland said. I memba.
  20. The connection is we withhold aid all the time for all the reasons impeachment defense.
  21. They have a 4/8 table and seem to get two tables. But they also have two tables of 1-3 and one table of 2-5 so hell if I know why the use $2 chips for all of them..
  22. In Palm Springs, that's what they use. They will color you up to a $25 chip if you want, but they have a small amount of $1 chips and just $2 chips. Fuckking maddening..
  23. I have no clue - just went with original post and didn't think it through.
