It's nice that Herman named a starter. It's even nicer that Ehlinger earned it and the 9.95ers continue to fuckimg suck.

I got a theory brewing here. If Urban Meyer really is fired then I think that he was the one who had snook write the hit piece on Herman. We all know that Meyer personally hates Herman but the OSU fan base loved him, so Urban wanted to make sure that OSU couldn't bring Herman in as a replacement he created the rumor that Herman started all this.
Of course it was Meyer. His motives? Who gives a shit.

Honestly, every team that passed on him for so many rounds - each of their GM's should be fired.

Yup. Every mock trial and post trial questioning of juries leaves me stunned. They latch on to strangest stuff.
Our jury wouldn't even talk with us and provide us an explanation. We clearly pissed them off or they were so tired of our shit they didn't want to talk to us. Juries are awesome.

He still hasn't signed his contract yet, right?

Pretty sure Cruz is asexual.
Disagree.

You almost have to keep Drake if he's going to start at RB for the Dolphins. If not him, than Engram IMHO.

I've seen Keontay Ingram make more people miss in this video than I saw all of last year from every snap from every player that lined up at RB for Texas.

That was epic. His best work to date. I almost rage threw my computer at the Todd Orlando revelation.

What % of their range do you think is calling a raise here, but folding to bad turn cards? For example, say the guy who led the $65 has TT. Qx peels turn. Is this "hyper-aggressive" guy now just check-folding?
I think they have a lot of unpaired cards in their range on this board that have to fold to $180 now. They aren't calling with AQ with one diamond for $180. But if an A, Q or diamond turns, they are never folding.
Also, we have the same issue we had in the chitwood hand. Raising to $180 with $340 behind looks MEGA strong. We are announcing to two hyper-aggs "YOU HAVE NO FOLD EQUITY". Hyper-aggs entire strategy is based on leveraging fold equity, so by taking that away when we have the nuts, I think that is the move that leaves too much on the table. The pot right now is smaller than the turn bet that will often come with literally 0% equity behind it.
To be clear, my answer is based on the description of villains as "hyper aggressive." Against standard TAG villains, I think a raise has much more merit and will often be the best play.
The more I think about the hand, the more I am convinced this is the right line in terms of maximizing value. We were all pretty deep though and this was my first game back in a few years so I think I probably overplayed it a bit.
-
This is exactly the back and forth that went through my head at the time. Villain 1 ($65 guy) had the overpair. Villian 2 folded when I made it $165 to go. Villain 1 called. Turn came a non-flush A. Checked to me. I bet $200 into a $410ish dollar pot and villain 1 folded. Afterwards, I was regretting the loss of value......

First game back from quasi-poker retirement after busting the main a few years back. Cashed out +$575 in one of my friend's 1-1 games. Why did I ever stop playing again? LOL.
So two players are hyper-aggressive at the game, player 1 and player 5. I am in the four seat. I get dealt 88. Four big stacks all have +500 bbs. Player 1 makes it $25 to go, two people call, I call, and player in seat five calls. Generally speaking the $25 bet is doing very little to limit the number of players in the pot or the quality of the hands of either hyper-aggressive player. Pot is $125ish. Flop 8-6-3, two diamonds. Initial pre-flop raiser fires out $65 bet and next two guys fold. Hyperaggressive late position guy (and playing very loose - loves getting into hands with the other hyper-aggressive guy who bet $65) already counting out the $65 in his hand to call, but action is to me. You have $500 or so behind and two hyper-aggressive guys have you covered. What do you do? If you raise, how much?

Bunch of sandy vaginas in this thread.
Last year we had a catastrophic collection of injuries to our offensive line. I've never seen an offensive line take the collection of injuries our offensive line took over that year at either the college or pro level ever. Not that it can't happen again or that everything is just "fixed" now. Despite this collection of injuries Herman had us at 7-6 with several of those losses being very close games we could have or should have won.
I think Herman is a hell of a coach. I compare Charlie's first year and Herman's first year and I see no BYU embarrassment. No Baylor, Kansas State, or TCU games and where we didn't look like we belonged on the field. Plus a better bowl performance by miles. Now in fairness Charlie left the cupboard more filled than Mack. I don't want to turn this shit into a Charlie v. Herman debate, but I think we are going to be just fine this year. I have faith in Herman and Orlando.

That's where the embezzlement is helpful. Not only does it reflect badly on Gates' honesty, it reflects on Manafort's competence regarding how well he kept the books. The fact is Gates was working the books under Manafort's nose without him realizing it. Granted, I think there is a huge difference between fraudulent expense statements and the level of fraud being discussed. Still, I imagine that is an important part of the defense's narrative.
But, it's not just Gates. The hard evidence (emails, paperwork) and other testimony helps build the govt narrative. Also, I would think Gates is more credible than an empty chair. If Manafort doesn't testify, I don't know how you could believe him over Gates. I don't even know how you enter accusations, rather than speculation, if there isn't a witness to state the accusation. If he does testify, I think it opens the door to challenge his credibility, which could really open up Pandora's box. One of my big questions is where is Stephen Calk - the Chicago banker who approved loans to Manafort and got a place in the campaign for his troubles. While two of his underlings have been given immunity, he's not listed as a govt witness. Question for the law dogs: if Manafort were to testify about those loans, could the government call an unlisted witness to refute the testimony?
It's possible if the witness was solely to impeach Manafort's testimony, but they would have a hard time explaining why they felt the need and expected the testimony of the two bankers that were granted immunity, but they did not expect Calk's testimony until Manafort testified first. So I don't believe he would be allowed to testify, barring some quasi-unexpected testimony from Manafort that only Calk could refute. Also, I don't think the prosecutors care to call Calk. Why? He's a smart banker who may be able to explain some of these issues away as opposed to his two minions listed who will already give it up for the immunity they have been provided. No reason to throw a wild card into the mess.

It's not like the prosecution just has Gates. The defense blames Gates for everything, the prosecution lays it at the feet of Manafort. If it was just Gates' word v. Manafort, it might be a credibility issue. The documents including the fraudulent loan document, his tax returns, the information on these foreign accounts, emails, are all in evidence. They also have testimony that Manafort lived well above his taxable income means paying for most everything via offshore accounts. Offshore accounts that Manafort never claimed on income tax documents. So he can use the account to pay for home improvements and clothing for him, but does not claim it as income?

It is kind of surprising to see an elite WR commit to Aggie based on that QB room and who they have committed at QB for next year. I mean you are taking a pretty big leap that someone on that team can actually throw you the ball at some point before your Junior year. That's a big ask based on that QB room IMHO.
And I say that knowing full well that our current QB room + RJ is no walk in the park either.

If there is one thing I've learned this off-season it is that CDC doesn't fuck around. He is a heavy hitter in the AD role and will be all up in Herman's ass with input on changes to the staff to the extent that he needs to be if Herman doesn't right the ship himself.

Yes, but it's worse today than normal because of the last commit. No surprise there. Figurelli and Karen are even laying into him.

Man, the shit coming out of him and his defenders is just going to get more and more ludicrous as the walls close in. Since it is a foregone conclusion, I'm going to take the Bart Scott "can't wait" route.
I am very scared by the end game in all this. I don't think Trump goes gracefully in the night.
