  1. Well shit this thread is going to turn into LinkedIn for me where I stay away to avoid all of the lay-off notices. Sorry to hear hopefully your are as prepped as @Eastwood
  2. Will be interesting to see how the SIs affect the rebound once we get back to some sort of normal after Corona. Will the reduced supply speed up price increases? I know refineries are taking capacity offline so some operators will be forced to SI.
  3. Best of luck. Any ideas what your next steps are?
  4. Well fuck. Had to deal with some fraud attempts and logged into fidelity for the first time in weeks. That was sickening.
  5. 5.0 earthquake west of Pecos. That seems positive
  6. “Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a letter to senators Wednesday Democrats had eliminated from the legislation a, “$3 billion bailout for big oil.” Small oil can take that $3B.
  7. Should I assume no more $140/k Black Friday deals...
  8. This is the correct and only answer.
  9. I want the Saint .308 as well, PSA just had them for $1100 which seemed reasonable. Unfortunately with $25 oil I’m not buying anytime soon.
  10. 4” barrel? I’m assuming so with the slider. How does the extended handguard work with the Silncerco faux can?
  11. I love my Scorpion, 35 rounds of 147gr subsonic goodness.
  12. Not sure if this one has been posted, came on today and made me think of this thread.
  13. Same here. What ideas are you kicking around? I’d try to hustle some O&G gigs but am considering everything from math teacher to a masters in engineering. Part of it is I need to decide if I want to stay in a 24/7 connected white collar gig or move to a more 9-5 clock in and out. Things I have kicked around but not deep into: Teacher (math probably) Engineering with existing undergrad (Petroleum so could be tough) Masters in Mechanical or something more widespread Electrician OTR Trucking
  14. I’m here. Coming up on 20 years since my first summer and 15 years full time and I’m game planning a second career because I’m afraid if I lose what I have now there is no replacing it.
  15. So who is going to be left standing at the end of this?
  16. I’m glad I work for a large independent with a history or layoffs... Oh, wait...
  17. Correct. I was referring to the “If you fail to service it” comment. Probably should have put it in bold. The other big downside is the 60 day payback if you leave the job. Not sure PLs job security but it’d be a big concern for me in O&G right now.
  18. You’ll owe the IRS 10% + taxes on the loan amount as income. If the cash for the penalty and additional taxes are not available you’d be indebted to the IRS. May be better than the CC or mortgage but I’d prefer not to have the IRS after me.
  19. Best of luck. It’ll be interesting to see how many technical professionals cut since 2015 just bail and leave the industry. I was talking to a landman buddy of mine who graduated around 2010, I think he said something like 4 of his class of 20ish were still in the industry.
  20. There are 7 or 8 breweries within a mile or so of Prairie all with a little different vibe and style. Also a new beer hall right off the park with 100 taps. It may be the best option to try a variety of locals.
  21. Had Left Hand Peanut Butter Milk stout and was fairly disappointed. Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout is one of my go tos when there aren’t any good stouts on the menu so I was surprised not to like the PB seasonal as much. Also had Boulevard Restless Nights and really enjoyed it.
