  1. We had never heard of them until I stared watching the Big10. I did not realize those guys were in the neighboring town. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/41720815/ryan-day-chip-kelly-started-smalltown-new-hampshire
  2. Schools that need to merge. Toledo-Bowling Green Duke-Wake Forest Washington State-Gonzaga.
  3. That's the picture they went with? Whatever the system is... I think it is because Ash has been a HC before. It likely makes a man a better coordinator having seen it from his boss's pov.
  4. The log jam of playoff and quasi playoff games really dried out the regular season. You have games getting over 7 million viewers and not cracking the top 25, according to that list.
  5. Notre Dame to hire Chris Ash as DC.
  6. Mich has two NFL ready DTs. We had two undersized backups. The only thing good to come out of this week.
  7. It's as much as cohesiveness as it is individual matchups. The left tackle was playing in his first game since I think September. Most of the problems came on some delayed pressure. Ohio State lost their biggest game and lost their rivalry game. They didn't have the best season they had the best postseason elimination tournament. The AP poll should vote after Thanksgiving and let the lipstick trophy be separate. He wasn't praying, Leonard was talking to the media? And what do you mean by "hypocrite?"
  8. So we got crushed AND managed to choke it away. I did not think I'd was possible to do both.
  9. Wow we found a way to embarrass ourselves. This was supposed to be house money.
  10. Nope. People here didn't see your game. Only I know anOSU got flagged for two PIs before the cataclysm. They are grabbing every play and daring the refs to call it
  11. Makes me wonder why we tried to make Riley L a pocket passer after the first drive
  12. Do they have the game on during the balls? I mean seriously who goes to a ball?
  13. Probably the same reason our 2020 Clemson game was stopped for the official Biden declaration of victory. My reaction was the same as the last twenty Ohio State 3rd downs.
  14. I may have promised a few Horns a beer on me if they showed up to our game watch last Friday. I wonder if they remember.
  15. Just as soon as Surly figures out how to have just one game thread. But yes we had that it was called New Year's Day. I'm hearing very little talk about the possible first Korean coach of a national title team. Perhaps I missed something? St Lou has had about ten different careers to be proud of. Even if he was only Woody Hayes's defensive coordinator who later hosted a decade of college football live, his obituary would still be in the top 1%. I play his motivational speeches when I need something more than coffee.
  16. I'm not as excited as I would be normally. This team is limping towards the finish line with injuries. (Do you notice the expanded post-seasons never include a contracted regular season?) Now we are playing for a national title supported by 49 states. This was already true when we went to the Sugar Bowl and it just got worse, we lost our LT tackle against PSU and his replacement has missed the entire season with injury. So the 2024 Notre Dame Fighting Irish story is already a success: We came in wondering if coach Freeman was qualified for the job after the usual 10-15 ranked recruiting class. Took an OC from the Brian Kelly coaching shrub, that we always complained about. Took a transfer QB whom we had mauled @Duke 2023 who can't pass. Opened with a road win at an SEC team, lost to Northern Illinois University at home (kept wondering). Then proceeded to run the table against a medium strength schedule only being threatened a few times. Screwed out of the 5th seed but can't talk because NIU. Broke a 30 year jinx by winning a major bowl against the backup qb. Made history by becoming the first team in history to win two major bowls in the same season 🙄 albeit against James Franklin. So where we were vs where we are. We are already ahead of where anyone expected. I'll still be bug eyed every play. Doubt I'll be livid this time tomorrow barring a ref job. FYI the local Texas club started chanting NOTRE DAME at the end of their gamewatch last Friday. How did some choose between comet and asteroid?
  17. I dropped by the local UT gamewatch for the 4th qtr debacle. As soon the Eyes of Texas ended they started pounding the table chanting Notre Dame. The bar is set so high. First time since 1988 that 49 states have our back.
