2023 Texas @ Alabama - 6pm on ESPN
Saban hired Rees, the protege of Brian Kelly. We spent many years grumbling about that offense. Now both ND and Saban appear to have what they want.

This could be a problem. As I understand it if you are injured on the job then your employer/insurance foots the long term care bill for the rest of your life. IS that true in professional sports?

Pac 12 2023- The final countdown
I am watching most of the final PAC night games. The PAC was undefeated and then Cal and ASU lost in the same 90 second span. Both were very frustrating games.

There will be regulation soon. And knowing regulators, it will contain some fuzzy language that permits them to DQ almost any player.

Texas Agricultural & Mechanical at Miami - 2:30pm on ABC - “Dick Steppin Boogaloo”
Guess I'll watch this now. Out west ABC stuck with ND @ NCST until the last 2 min

Some big flagship Us broke through layer. Ohio State did not really become the football school we know until Hayes. The perception is that UT was less prestigious than all of those private SWC schools until post WW2.

Realignment talk not going away
I will miss PAC after dark. It ended a day quietly with teams that have a 100 year history. And there was as much parity as the Big12 so someone was always on upset alert. Even if the night game is Nebraska at Washington the interest is only as much as a 2% shift in post-season chances. And the playoff will be so bloated that making it doesn't change all that much.

Do these people get paid by the meeting? The man of Troy gets to wave his sword around. ND forbids live mascots. Or so we are told as the reason the school won't bring back the Irish Terrier Clashmore Mike.

Why not divide it only among the YES votes?

It would be easier to vote to dissolve so the smaller schools could form a new conference with Calford. Agree on the above as it comes straight out of Art of the Deal, Calford is reminding the ACC that they have other options, even if said option is just a theory.

Our boards are about a day to 6 months behind. I have only read domers wondering if our *rivalry* with Stanford will be broken up by SMU.

Me neither but SC would have been favored against the actual BCS champion 2003 - 2008. Hey did CA ever resolve that boycott of however many states?

The 'rumors' are 100% focused on these exact three schools. It would be odd if every leaky mouthpiece was getting it wrong. and also this week the Noles seem to have figured out the mute button.

Where did you get that day as the beginning of the UCLA treachery? For it to be leaked so soon it was likely being plotted before there was a rebel alliance.

I am a bit behind on my SMU traditions. Did they once play the same as the Dallas Cowboys?

they moved campus to Detroit? I thought the ACC's expansion strategy was weird enough already. Whatever it reminds me of the Louisville add; Oh we need to expand? Who's on sale!?

There is some talent in the Bay Area towns. I can't imagine a Stanford-Clemson recruiting battle.
