  1. People love it when the taxes sent to Washington are returned in really small amounts. Did what? read the constitution? there too many wrong in this ramble to list them all, lowlights include. - the history as god theory. Saying the present has to follow the perceived path of the past is just another abortion of circular logic. Case in point, the Germans would say History has long marched towards national socialism and all individuals must fall in liiiiiine. - But that is not even the history of American law. Power has been flowing to the government from the people for over 100 years. Take any limitation on federal power and try to say it hasn't been diluted: interstate commerce means non-commercial activity that remains in state. Freedom of association means punishment for association. Freedom of speech outside of 5 million exceptions etc. - "we think that only relates to matters revolving around sex (contraception, buttfucking, gay marriage)." [abortion, cross-dressing, transomething] Well YOU think that. Did you ever notice the only place Ds care about individual rights is the genitals?
  2. Wow an actual point made a long side of the personal insults. You win the cloak room equivalent of the big 12 north. So you so you think the 9th amendment created or protected a right to have an abortion. Do you think the supreme Court just missed that for the first 150 years and only rediscovered it in 1973?
  3. Did they teach you the word "abortion" is in the Constitution?
  4. ?? The US Constitution reserved the power to the states. The absence of precedent meant that Courts followed the Constitution. The Roe Court made up a law without precedent, Dobbs repealed it. The absence of a negative is not a positive or else the Court could say anything that had not been previously forbidden.
  5. But you are fine when they ignored about 200 years of precedent the first time around?
  6. And he did it with the cadence instead of just trying to look like Friday. We need an Oscar for character actors.
  7. Or else, they will continue to be not our type?
  8. 8 years of college down the drain...
  9. I don't remember any farmers or ranchers on the show.
  10. No one mourns for Lewis Wilson.
  11. It's been a rough year or so for the Night Court alumni.
  12. A big firm would work with/against lots of insurance cos who would know the network. in re: Kim's Escape. I don't see the point of making her from Omaha and introducing her to the coded book leading to the vacume route if she is not going down that path.
  13. Kind of like how Cliff was apologizing for all of the weaknesses in the HHM plot. A couple more, - You bribe the judge, not a mediator because the latter doesn't make rulings. - REgardless, Howard tells him 'your name is on the ledger' in private. - Nothing that happened at the mediation is admissible in a trial. Even if Howard went nutso they can just use other lawyers at the trial. Early on Howard bragged that he never even goes to court. - The residents get to decide whether they take the lower offer or not. They could have forced the lower settlement without drugged pictures or could still dig in for more money.
  14. Except that Howard wanted to hire them back and they refused.
  15. The only intersection between the lawyer and drug plots was Saul, and later Kim when Jimmy took her into it. Kim somehow had not even talked to Mike except to pay for parking. That is why I say the cartel will be Kim's undoing. I am wondering if Saul&Kim are allowed to testify against Lalo because he is their client. I think so since they are not revealing his testimony. But I doubt anyone is concerned with the code of ethics at this point.
  16. with Mad Max as coach. We are currently unhappy with A&M too as Fisher is 'recruiting' our top QB target.
  17. It might be network policy., AMC did the same thing with the walking dead; a character you can't name just died so the show is on pause for 3 months. The same goes for riding the best actor to prop up a driveway paced plot. A Tony Dalton, Stephen Oog, or Jeffrey Dean Morgan just knows that nothing is happening and he can chew up the scenery for a few eps.
  18. Why is Lalo in Germany when he can just go to the restaurant and kill Gus?
  19. The scene where they run into the museum to dig out the fighters is my favorite moment of that decade.
  20. No one expected D-Day to start when it dead because of bad weather. Ike surprised everyone by saying something like "Let's go," probably gentler then how Kim ended the episode.
  21. This doesn't have to be the case, unless G&G thinks it has to be the case. Saul doesn't have to know that Nacho and Lalo are dead. Saul is being held at gunpoint by two masked goons. Saul doesn't know if they know that Nacho and Lalo are dead. Saul may know they are dead but is leading the goons to think he is unaware. Saul didn't exactly know why they took him in the desert but may want to make them think he's involved with someone else. Oh and in a pre-BCS interview, Odenkirk said the thing about Saul is that he tries any line to convince the other person. If it doesn't work Saul tries something else, even if it contradicts what he just said. Howard's woman is played by Sandra or Sandrine Holt. She is one of my favorite Candian journeywomen as she keeps showing up in those magnificent scifi/horror pieces. The actor who plays Howard is also I believe from up north.
  22. But pulled the trigger on a big move.
  23. 5 posts without Biden tells me it would be disallowed.
  24. I always assume Jimmy/Kim have a psychic radar to figure out what happened even when they weren't present. But is this the exception? I don't think so the way Jimmy was smirking in that scene.
