Besides, we want to hear how the Trojans hate the former PACn schools.

The same reason that SMU, TCU, Rice, UH, USF, the other USF, UCF, Florida-Something, Pacific University were available for 50 or so years. "Media market" seems to be more a justification than a cause. That's the opposite of why a conference would want Stanford though. They have not been an easy win in football for the last decade; it was somewhat fitting that Shaw went out with another nailbiter win over ND. But they do have a book of gold medalists and championships in sports that we only see in James Bond flics.

More B1G shenanigans? Northwestern University, you're up!
Baylor is the free speech school?

If you are discussing national titles that UM is in an 80 year coma.

FSU, even FSU wouldn't make that kind of noise without a promise in their buckskin. It must be the BUG. Not that I like them but can't really fault their masterplan. From the PAC12 the BUG10 took most of the top half, getting two at a discount. And there aren't really enough football playing schools remaining on the west coast for another conference to establish a presence. Meanwhile the Big12mart took four schools from two medium sized states.

As we played both last year I assure one is boring and the other is not. ND-LJSU may be a constructed rivalry but it got interesting when Harbaugh&Shaw started running the system most old guard fans wanted at ND, smashmouth with a fullback.

Is whoever passes himself off as ACC commissioner even trying with Clemson/FSU? Is that a 'No' on my idea for Stanford to the SEC?

Favorite Character Actor
It's when the creator is hiring the trope-character, not the actor. The movie needs a: goon, father, bum etc. Can women be character actors? Their roles seemed to be defined by age and race. He does, Hollywood does not. They say "Best Supporting Actor" means top billed who graciously took a supporting role. Edit: Deadhank stole mine. Strother Martin should be atop the list.

That's why you watch college football with your grandparents and the NFL with some shirtless oaf you of whom you can't remember the last name. non-charter. I guess that matters if they make the players buy tickets. Also you fly into Portland and take a bus to Eugene.

Playing in the south in front of top recruits and full stadia? It would never be considered by our admin, because then they might actually have to compete.

Left Behind: A Quick Dose Of Post Big 12 Reality
Why would any conference take the UAZ? IT flies in the face of everything we have said about tv markets and recruiting turf for the past 20 years.

President Crow never had to pretend to care about college athletics because the town doesn't either. The sport in Phoenix is partying. Crow's only goal was to transform ASU into UCal-Tempe. IN this he has largely succeeded, even imposing censorship on conservative speech, and Crow has the full support of the town.

We can that pleading legal conclusions. It would be like a business plan made out of the 'Jump to Conclusions' mat in Office Space.

The Seminoles won't get stuck in the snow trying to break into the SEC but it's a possibility with the BUG.

Remember how you were worried about money? Well now you have a lot less to worry about. I thought we had agreed that these new contracts are actually settlements to compensate the left behinds. For all of the schools that have been screwed over by CR, no ESPN executive has had to sit for a sworn deposition.

I am curious about FS1 coverage too. Is it part of those 'streaming services' that are actually cable packages transmitted over the internet? There is a Roku and a Pluto service that have a sports section (I never check). Also Sling is basically a skinny cable package distributed in over an inefficient medium. SIAP. Yes, these scenarios all assume the AVC has dissolved.

I don't like it. But the compensation is that we could join the BUG and have a season where don't play any of the original 10 teams.

Why would a conference [tv network] take UoAZ without even discussing ASU?

In Socal perhaps. NorCal won't pay much attention. It's why Pitt will never be Auburn again. I think you are underestimating that. It's not just growing but growing with young adults. Yeah but Stanford will remain Stanford. Schools want to associate with them and they will get one of the last spots.

It was a made up rivalry between an academic inferiority complex and a boring athletic department. But both school are necessary to the final P-whatever so it is not something to worry about.

Realignment talk not going away
The Big12 realized that geographic absurdity made for a good media footprint. They just need to get the four corner schools: San Diego, UW, Brown, and Miami.

I don't believe CU will move to the Big12_whatever. That would make sense and the one common prime factor is that no CR makes sense.

Realignment talk not going away
Passing on a top 10 metro area for the least important program in the conference? Well, how long was the list of schools that the Big12 supposedly snubbed for WVU?

Tell Me About Notre Dame
Also lost Johhny Lujack at 98. In 1943 ND started 6-0 and the QB was randomly drafted into the service. Lujack took over as QB and won the 43 title, despite the choke @ The Great Lakes Naval Training Center. That was presumably their most famous game as they cancelled football in 1945. Never once saw Lujack in the Heisman House.
